All contests will cost you, but a cost-benefit analysis may enable one to estimate what the returns shall be. Top on the list are:
1.Cash prizes – a very good idea as the contestants are free to decide on what they want to buy with the cash. The prize amount you decide on is dependent on your financial ability and also how attractive it is to get your team interested in participating.
2.Tcredits – everyone needs these for various activities in TripleClicks. But how many Tcredits to put up as a prize so as to make everyone really interested?
3.Reassignment of PSAs – This only works to motivate your team if those reassigned are active already. Imagine being reassigned only one-time loggers! Team Leaders should be careful with this tool as your downline may feel you are offloading tyrekickers on them.

A few points to consider when setting up contests:

1.Your team is at different levels of growth, upgrade the value of your prize from one level to another (e.g. EA, BTL,STL, etc) in order to recognize effort and to enhance participation.
2.Duration of the contest should be so as to allow everyone to participate. I believe starting a contest at the beginning of the month and running it for a minimum of 3 months is good enough
3.Your contests should be worded in such a way that there is no room for misinterpretation. Be very clear on the conditions to be met if one is to win and what is the prize
4.Keep your word! Award prizes as promised. Do not keep on shifting goal posts as you will confuse your team, put others at undue advantage/disadvantage, seem unprepared and generally put your leadership abilities up for criticism
5.Have a budget in which you expect everyone to participate. This way you will run the contest with ease.

Contest must be beneficial to everyone. It benefits both the participants and the one sponsoring the contest.

Here are some ideas:
1) First to reach EA status, or BTL or STL. OR all who can reach certain status.
2) First to reach 1500VP or 3,000VP etc. OR all who can earn certain points
3) First to recruits 5 ot 10 or 20 (etc.) affiliates. OR all who can recruit certain number of affiliates.
4. First to have sales from Triple Clicks. Or if you are an ECA first to sell your product.
5) First to earn $100 or whatever amount. OR All who can earn certain amount.

Basic Rules to follow in sponsoring a contest:
1. Contest should be done in monthly basis since the counting of all the above are monthly.
2. Prices must be substantial to attract participants.
3. Must be appropriate to the level of generation in your genealogy. Most of this are done first to your PSA then CSA.But if you are an ECA you can move your contest to all levels if your contest is selling your product.

As to my experience, any kind of contest will attract your down line. Like "buy one and get one FREE" type methods. I offer 5 free Affiliates for each Bronze leader and after two day got two Silver. The more contest you start the more PSA will get interested. Also try to look at the movements of your down line. I watch them everyday. And found many small mistakes. Daily circular letters are very important as well.
By doing so I won Two STL and about 20 EA in a single month.

I'm not very sure, but I do think that rewarding shares in various co-ops so team members gain affiliates may be the way to go. I reward those who become EAs or Team Leaders.

My Affiliates respond always with enthusiasm to the following 2 contests, which are perfect for leading them through the right path to EA since their very first days:

First phase:

1) Get qualified as EA and you'll get 5 PSA.

Second phase (once I notify them about the reassignment of their 5 PSA just done):

2) Place a Standing Order at IAHBE (note that 100% of SFI Top Earners are IAHBE Subscribers) and you will get 20 Additional PSAs.

These contests are great also because they create a good duplication and help Affiliates to start practicing as Team Leaders, hence to become "awesome sponsors" (https://www.sfimg.com/Training/AwesomeSponsor).

Like others have said already. I have not been here long enough to have run any contests yet, but I know what I respond well to with my own sponsor. He rewards his downline with Personally sponsored affiliates EVERY month for maintaining Team Leader statuses. If you maintain Gold you will get more PSAs that month than if you maintained Bronze, for instance.

These new affiliates in my downline will help me to maintain my Team Leader statuses easier in the future & will help me to pay for my own Standing Order each month which will, in turn, help my own business here at SFI to eventually become strong enough so that I am at a point some day to give my own downline the same rewards. I am very grateful to my sponsor for that.

Also, to see him able to give away PSA's to his downline so easily is an inspiration. It is proof-positive to me that recruiting new affiliates to SFI can be easy, so easy that you will eventually be able to gift them to others. I know that with a positive attitude & by trying to duplicate what my sponsor does that I will succeed here and my affiliates will be just as successful when I teach them to do the same.

So, what I a trying to say is that the best contest my own sponsor runs is one that never ends. I know that EVERY month he will reward me with PSAs or maintaining a certain TL rank here at SFI. I don't need to keep checking to see what the new contest is & change what I'm doing each month based upon a different focus that my sponsor has. His focus is that I be as well-rounded of an affiliate here at SFI as possible.

This is a very interesting topic. I have launched a contest "Name Our Team Competition" last November on my Leadership Page, even mentioning it several times in my teammail. I thought with a prize of $20 Gift Certificate for the winner with a clever and cool entry, it will attract participation and, as Patik said, wake them up and take notice. The lucky winner could have used the $20 Gift Certificate to kickstart their business. Surprise, surprise, nobody responded and when it ended on December 21 I reckon my contest ended then, but not the world as the Mayan Calender predicted.

I will try again, and see which contest will win them. I will never, ever Give Up!

I do a contest EVERY month for my team. I usually do a contest where they strive to accumulate EA or higher AND recruit a certain amount of people within the month. It keeps them striving towards a goal, makes some friendly competition and helps my team to grow. The best reward for winning? MONEY. Always money. CASH speaks everyone's language. Just make sure everyone has access to PayPal or it can be a hassle getting their reward money to your contest winner.

First, I would like to thank you for bringing this important question to ASK SC. Setting contests helps a lot in SFIMG. It makes inactive affiliates become active and active affiliates become super active. Prizes that can be used for the contests are Gift Certificates, PSAs and TCredits.

The best to use of all is the PSAs. Many new affiliates are not new to only SFI but to the world of internet marketing and so find it herculean sponsoring affiliates since they do not know what to do. This makes some of them give up. Yes, it happened to me! And it is still happening to others. Some have the money to be EAs but don’t know how to recruit. I highly recommend using PSAs in contests and rewards. If you can, let them know that anyone who makes EA2 or above will be in your COOP and will remain in your COOP as long as he/she remain an EA2 or above. When they see their team growing, they then have a reason to stay above as the leader. Don’t worry about the money you spend in advertising to get the Affiliates! You are building your team and remember the MATCHING VP part of SFI.

The second is the Gift Certificates! The GC is like sending money… the only difference is that the GC can only be spent on TripleClicks. One thing I like about GC is that you get your money back if they don’t spend it and if they spend it, you get the CV :).

The TCredits! TCredits is TripleClicks own kind of money. You can set this as a contest for product listing purposes for some affiliates.

Do whatever you can above to draw their attention. Ask them to know what they want for a contest. They are not just your SFI affiliates but your friends. Hear from them! Keep the communication line open.
