I wonder How Many members(*use) are inspired by this ? in Suggestion Box #Leadership #Team Building

11 hours ago

Dear Al,

You just called me a liar. { }
BUT i am just too LAZY to even feel offended.
AND, therein lies the answer to your question too...
~~~~
Actually, i was not referring to the entire page but ONLY *THE STAT.
By the way:
~~~~~~~~~
LAZY could have been my middle name though , being truly lazy, i skip it...
true to my honest admission.
I do wonder SOMETIMES about how i reached my " longest streak ever of
1772 days! "
Nearly 5 years... correct ? Please let me know the value down to at least 2
decimal places... i am , like i said, TOO LAZY, even to try doing that...

Footnote:
========
Just whiling away time - waiting for THE FINAL.
Actually, there will be 2 of them tonight.
Guess correctly { Just for Fun } and we can continue our banter in
the correct category
You can even e-mail me... i love making new friends.
Actually, it is against Forum Rules to divulge it here.

Maintain A Sense Of Humor-Split Both Sides Laughing!!! in Just For Fun

1 day ago

Glicy P - Your Auntie story made my day & night. I'm so glad you clicked in on "Just For Fun", .

"Just For Fun",................
, right? What were your first word or two you
uttered when the internet went South. (Remember, this is a family Forum. haha! Bless you, Bye for now.
THAT, too, is more or less UNIVERSAL

You ~~~~~ xxxx ~~~~~ silly old goat, in fact the next one leaves for Siberia in 5 minutes, be
darn sure you are on it.haha (You do know I'm joking, Right?, or am I? SOG
Bruce Harper[/QUOTE]

Oh, did I ALSO remember!
Here is one FAMILY TALE for your Sunday snigger ( Laugh, if you insist )
Anyway, ~~xxx my auntie was very much alive

It happened about 2 weeks after the wedding...
I had taken a family group to the local cinema hall for/ as a treat; the movie had
just ended & we were descending the staircase when the newest member of our
family let out a muted yelp followed by , "Oh ! I am terribly sorry."

Startled, every member of the family as well as others around turned to look; my
aunt had failed to notice the U-turn in the staircase and walked straight into the
mirror that was covering the entire wall.

"But the apology WAS justified" is what she insists when we tease her... after all of
40+ years...

Wits End in Team Building

6 days ago

I have only recently COMPLETED 6 YEARS WITH SFI { See my Badges IF* you can (?)}}
AND
One thing i openly confess... I would not be here but for "hundreds of silly questions" as i see them NOW ) *&* the replies i got in 2013-14 and onward...

TENACITY ( a lesser used word, PERSEVERANCE is another ) is the only requirement for SUCCESS.

I sometimes also use another word - OBSTINACY... it means "refusal to quit"

I doubt whether even 10% members ever use this:

AND
IF SFI will even consider changing 3 to 6 or 12
BUT
i have definitely derived some benefit from
it in the past SIX years whenever i have used it.

THINKING LOGICALLY, one can NOT be one's own follower.
No wonder then, that neither Manuel nor me see the (+) sign after
our own names...

I went back & forth to check my own status.
Can YOU** [ ** One confirmation is enough ] see the (+) against my name ?
I can see the dark BCQ spot but the (+) sign is NOT VISIBLE to my eyes.

I do have 140 followers though; they must have come from (+) i reckon

Negative associates in Suggestion Box

What I mean is once a thread is reported using the "flag" icon, I think they make that a priority. All they can do is use a translator, xxx
For this reason, I think this is a solution "flag" icon

Please give us options when reporting a thread option: this acc needs to be deleted,
where we can explain why and give evidence.

Dear Mirjana,

You can always drop a note / message to SUPPORT with all the "dirty words"
translated BY YOU to English.

I chanced upon the " Biz Quiz Winners For May 22nd " LIST and saw a haphazard,
random distribution of names.

Is it too hard to tweak the related program / software in such a way that all these
50 names are REARRANGED to * DISPLAY IN ALPHABETIC ORDER * ?

Members will not have to waste time going assiduously through the list.
One's own WIN, in any case, is intimated individually. [ Thank God for small mercies ]

Knowing other cultures through this forum in Just For Fun

4 months ago

Picking it off another thread, here's what i have decided to narrate TODAY*
The subject line is chosen WISELY too... coming from me, that too should be a decent surprise

The story is from the late 1960's *&* very relevant to my friend Gliceria's innocent confession.
Our neighbors were 2 young couples from Rhodesia [ now called Congo ] on a students' visa.
They "could not resist the urge" and the young girls became young mothers while still students.
The 'cleaning lady', common to us [ since we were living in the same building ] was overheard by me asking my mother, "Do they deliver their babies the same way as we Indians do ?"

Another funny thing occurred between the families when my mother & auntie Ruth
[ i was but 8* back then ] decided to "share" their purchase of RADISH among themselves because they were using only the leaves while we were accustomed to 'eating the root and discarding the leaves'.
Let me also confess THAT we now relish chappatis stuffed with radish leaves & at
least I remember our neighbors whenever we use radish leaves in our cooking.

After nostalgia comes the nuances of language
India IS a vast country, just like Australia, Canada and the U.S.A are & babies ARE called "baba" in certain belts. BUT, in Kolkata specially, one can commonly find the boys addressing their girlfriends as "baba" or "sona". Now "sona", to us Punjabi folks is GOLD although it is also "handsome" mainly used to describe young boys and babies alike.
Girls / women - as Gliceria is - are addressed as "soni" i.e. beautiful.

To wind off, one thing has always bothered my conscience in moments of contemplation...
Is Argentinian CULTURE really as described by Diego Maradona in the aftermath of his World Cup "Hand of God" goal ?
Can any member from Argentina dig up "history" and clear up the cobwebs of a confused mind ?
PLEASE ?

I Love To Procrastinate, How About You??? in Team Building #Getting Started #Team Building

4 months ago

Dear Gliceria,

#1 Nice to see you again !

I too really wish I could change just THIS one habitof mine.

BUT then, i have been waiting since eternity for TOMORROW.

Every morning, i wake up with a "fresh NEW resolve" to finish all the
pending tasks; BUT THEN, when i look at the clock and the calendar,
i always find that it is a brand new "TODAY".
You guessed my response correctly, did you ?

As for running out of adjectives, let me try and help.
In India, the respected elders like Bruce is are addressed as BABA.
So, that's one...
And then, in the context of this forum AND this particular thread::
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
B Bruce is undeniably the MOST RESPECTED member of this forum
A All members of this forum, i presume, follow his posts as keenly as I do
B Blessed are we that get to partake of his wisdom through this forum
A Am certainly coming back to this forum for more of Bruce's wit...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BUT, that will, as always, be TOMORROW

Correct me if i am wrong...
