Keith,

I'd like to add a little something here, if I may.
I am opted in at 50% in Opti-Build. I have 2 DD's on my team.
For those that are new, this means that 2 members of my team will split 50% of all of the new PSAs that I bring in. I will receive the remaining 50%. (You can learn how to qualify for Opti-Build HERE.)
However, it's been my experience, that if I set up a co-op, the co-op will always take precedence, and will be fulfilled before the rest are distributed through the Opti-Build program. (I cannot say that this is the norm. I can only attest to the fact that this is how it has worked for me.)

Is this the norm?
What's your experience?

Manuel,

You can most definitely use them in your co-op. Any PSA you recruit can be set up in a co-op.
Just make sure you use the proper Key Code.
I haven't used that particular feature yet, so I can't attest to 1104 being the correct Key Code. I thought I read somewhere that it was 1105 coming out of the Rewardical exchange. Best to do some research.
Just sayin'...

Sidebar for those that don't know:
There are those that may argue that the use of certain Key Codes is forbidden.
Based on this note, found on the Co-op page;
"NOTE: You can choose any number for your ad-based Key Codes, EXCEPT codes numbered 1100 through 1199, 1200, and 1300, which are reserved for SFI corporate use."
Don't let that sway you. All this means is that you cannot use them in your personal ads. But you CAN use them in the co-op if the PSAs come from SFI, Tripleclicks, or an ECA listed within Tripleclicks.

For those that are not certain how to set up a team co-op, simply click on Tools/Team Building/Co-op Manager/Start a new co-op. Enter the Key Code you wish to use. Enter a short description. (This is for your own reference.) Then designate either Shares or Signups. Then : Create New Co-op. (I use Signups, as this allows me to designate how many PSAs will go to each member within my co-op.)
On the next page you will be able to add each participant by affiliate ID#, as well as the number of signups you wish to designate to each one.

Achieving EA status on July 30th or August 1st? in Getting Started

Hi Fadel,

With the new comp plan in place, we all know that the only purpose of VP is to determine rank within the company. Therefore most will say that attaining your rank at the end of the month is the perfect scenario. After all, who needs all those extra VP anyway, right?
Many may not agree with this, and that's okay, but I've always felt it best to gain my rank around the 1st of every month.
Here's why;

1st, I've always been a firm believer that if we want an active, and successful team, we, as team leaders, must lead by example. What does it say to the rest of my team if I hold out til the last day, and something happens to prevent me from advancing to my previous rank?

2nd, I'm a Silver Team Leader. I need 4000 VP to retain my rank. Easy enough, as I have the means to do this on the 1st of the month with my auto-delivery, and my Rewardicals. By the end of each month, I usually accumulate another 1000 VP, or a little more. Right now, I have 5090 VP. (I think it's important to note that the requirement for GTL is 5000 VP.)
Fact is, I like to think ahead. And with good reason.
You see, my goal for this year is to reach GTL by the end of the year. The requirements include;
3 PSAs, 2 of which must be STL or above, as well as 5000 VP.
As you can see, I already have the VP covered. My incentive for this is the fact that I have 2 BTLs on my team. Both of which could become STL at any time.
Like I said, I like to think ahead.

Don't get me wrong, not everyone will have this same scenario. I'm merely using it as an example of why I think it's important to plan ahead every month.
As to your question, 1st or last of the month? I choose the 1st.

Mary, I'm with you on this one.
In my opinion, TE's are a great, idle time, advertising resource. Basically, you have to view many other websites, on a set timer (Time is set by the site. Could be anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds, or more, per view.), in order to earn credits for your ad views. It's free advertising, but it takes time. That's all I'm sayin'..
Keep in mind that all of them will offer a paid version as well. Simply pay for your credits, and let the site deliver the traffic.
I like using TE's any time I'm testing a new ad.
Here's why;
I have found that a lot of internet newcomers, at some point, will end up on many of these sites. Always searching for that next shiny object. Those that are serious will sign up to SFI, the Crown Jewel of shiny objects. Just sayin'....
Pro's; I get signups from them.
Con's; Surfing takes time.

For the best definition of a Traffic Exchange, I like what Wikipedia has to say here;

Hi Steve,

I'm going to get just a little off track here for a moment.
I've noticed that A2A has been under maintenance for quite some time now. A2A, as we all know gave us all a limited connection to a select few affiliates, not on our team.
Here's what I see:
SFI is growing at an alarming rate. Is it possible that A2A simply got overwhelmed with too many requests?
Or, and this is just speculation on my part, is it possible that A2A was beginning to open up too many pathways to cross solicitation between teams?
My guess would be the latter. Cross solicitation can be a huge detriment to a company like SFI as too many newcomers can easily be led astray by the "Next Shiny Object".

Just my opinion.

Hey y'all,
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day, or night. (Don't wanna leave anyone out.)

I sent the most amazing email, solo ad yesterday pertaining to NGRQ.
Many of you may not be aware that in our Marketing Aids, there is already a text ad that relates to this very subject. It is long enough to be used as an email and describes NGRQ perfectly.

This has already gained a lot of attention since I mailed it. And it was sent on a Free Ad site!!
Here's how:
Find a Free ad site by looking for Safelists, Text ad sites, or any site that will accept email ads.
Make sure you look for Promo Codes to use, you will receive more mailing credits that way, and you will be able send your email to more people.
If they offer you a free solo ad, use it, as these are more widely viewed by the members.
It's easy to do. Find the link that says Setup ads, or Send Email, and follow the steps provided.
Click send, and watch the results. And don't forget to use Key Codes in your gateway links. That way you can see your performance.

SFI's text ads are amazing, and can be used in a great many ways, but we'll dive into that another time.

You make a very compelling point Marilynn.
I actually did see many of the responses on this subject as I was doing the research for my post.
12 months ago, you posted this question: Downloadable banner images?

This was Gery's response, and I quote:

That of course would not be good for you or us and could even get SFI in hot water."

Every response I found pertained to "Downloaded Images". I can see the downside of using them, as per Gery's response, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
My post, however, has to do with using snippets of the HTML code provided for us. Using the URL for the image will allow for the image on the posted banner to change when it is updated, provided the URL does not change along with the image. Whereas a downloaded image will not.
I'll certainly welcome your help here. If you can find something pertaining to the use of snippets of code somewhere, please share.
Personally, I think it would be detrimental to the growth of the company if it were NOT allowed. How many thousands of affiliates would lose their business if creative use of code were not allowed in our advertising?

I truly appreciate your feedback, and the heads up.
However, I too have read the disclaimers, and warnings given to us with each banner.
In my opinion, they are there to let us know that using the HTML code ONLY, on your personal website or blog, is the best way to help keep them updated as they are updated by SFI in real time.

I have read the rules on every page I can find, and have found absolutely nothing that says we are forbidden to break these codes up for use on sites that do not accept HTML codes, and do not belong to us personally.
If I had, I would not have written this post.

Just a thought....
We have many new affiliates that join every single day, that have no website, or blog of their own, and have no clue how to begin to build them. Many have no funds.
Where will they turn to if the benefits of these Free ad sites, that do not allow HTML, cannot be utilized to their fullest potential?

If my interpretation of the rules is incorrect, I would expect the moderators, and/or corporate, to let me know fairly quickly.

Hey y'all,
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day, or evening, depending on where you are.

Ya know, quite often here at the Forum we see posts about the importance, and the massive benefits of using free advertising. All great posts, don't get me wrong, but none of them have gone into detail on how to place Free ads on a Free ad site. And I have not been able to find these details anywhere on the SFI site.
Just to be clear, the Free ad sites being referred to include, but are not limited to:
Traffic Exchanges, Banner Exchanges, Safelists, etc. (We will define these at another time.)

That being said, I think I can help.

The picture below shows one of SFI's many banners available to us in the Marketing aids section of SFI. It is also the most common size used on most Free ad sites, 468 X 60.


In the Marketing Aids section, along with the banner, you are given a long code to use. This is referred to as an HTML code. Many are quite lengthy, and will not be accepted by MOST Free ad sites. These codes are great for use on your own web/blog site, and on SOME ad sites. But, most Free ad sites use only a portion of this code. It saves space on their servers, and simplifies things a bit for those folks that are not given the full code for the banner to begin with.

The banner in the pic uses this code:

As you can see, it can be a little confusing, to say the least. Especially when most Free ad sites show you this:
(I had this as an image, but it was too large to upload.)

Set up a new campaign:
#1) Banner Name:
#2) Banner Url:
#3) Target Url:

The first box, Banner Name, is self explanatory. The banner in the pic is for Rewardicals, RWD, whatever name you want to give it.

The second box, Banner URL, is the link used by the website to locate the image that will be used in the banner ad. In this case it will use the pic in the example above. In this particular example, the link to the image in this banner, is the second highlighted section in the code above:

The third box, Target URL, is YOUR Gateway, YOUR sign-up page. This is where visitors are sent any time they click on your banner. The Gateway in this example is is shown in the first highlighted section of the code above:
https://www.sfi4.com/xxxxxxxx/reca

Just for fun, go to: My Account, Team Building, My Gateways. Look for the link above. I'm willing to bet you'll find a match. And don't forget, you can always insert key codes into these links. This is highly recommended. It's much easier to keep track of what is working, and what is not.
I use them all the time, and I can honestly say that it is worth the extra few seconds it takes.

A little challenge to everyone interested in using Free ads; join as many of these sites as you can. Look for promo codes. You will get many more ad spots that way.
Place as many ads as you are allowed. Most sites will allow you to place a variety of banners, text ads, website links, etc. Mix them up. Use a variety of them, test them, check your stats as often as you can. Keep the one's that are working, and replace the others until you find a good mix of working ads.

That's the basics on banners, which, by the way, make for some of the best advertising on the net, if used correctly.

You've hit the nail on the head with your post. In my opinion, if you don't get a little frustrated from time to time, you're not trying hard enough.
Frustration in this business comes from advertising that doesn't work.
It comes every time you lose an affiliate, whether they opt out, or simply disappear.
It comes when we fall short of our goals for the month.
You get my point.
Frustration comes when we believe we have failed. But if you ask me, I believe that each little failure, and frustration, brings us one step closer to success. After all, even the most successful were prone to failure along the way.

As for Ms. Glecy, I may have a little insider info. (She's my sponsor)
Turns out that she has been having a bit of a connection issue. None of her devices have been loading properly for just over a week now.
I'm sure we will see her back in full swing before too long.

Hi Mihai,

Sorry to hear about your team.
Try not to look back on it, but instead, look forward to building a bigger and better team.

One of the advantages I see in adding new co-sponsors to the team is that more people will be making money.
While it's true that we do not make money directly from anyone in our upline, including co-sponsors, they are there to help you succeed in your business, and can be considered a great source of new information and methods that some others may not have. I would encourage everyone to take advantage of these new resources.
And who knows, you may even make a new friend or 2 along the way.
In my opinion, this is a huge benefit for everyone.

Tommie,
Your question brings 2 things to mind.
Mass accumulation of Rewardicals could lead to profit if you were to use them to invest in either silver, or Bitcoin. Both of which have been stagnant of late.
On the other hand, since you are a huge advocate for free advertising, I'm going to guess that you earned the biggest portion of them for free, so why not use them to add more free affiliates to your team?
I tend to agree with Michael A. on this one. And I would encourage every new affiliate to consider this:
Earn as many Rewardicals as you can every month.
Use what you need to enhance your rank, if need be.
Use what you can to enhance your team.
Repeat, until this part of the process is no longer needed.
Then, save away.

Typically, once you have it set up, you should be able to find it on your "My Gateways" page at the bottom of the page.
As for how to use it, place that link on as many ad sites as you can, as often as you can. The rewards will greatly outweigh the time you spend on it.

Hi John,

Have you looked into some of the free link tracking sites?
Bit.ly is great for creating custom links, and their tracking system works very well. All of the info that you require will be given to you. You can even use it to create tags for each link, which are great on sites where hashtags may be used, such as Instagram, and Twitter.
Another one that I like to use that gives much more in depth info, is ClickMeter. ClickMeter allows you to create custom links, mask them if you'd like, and you can track not only the country, but it will also show you if it is a bot, spider, or a true human, and what internet provider they used. It gives the number of unique clicks, as well as the number of times the link is clicked by each individual. They even give you the IP address. It's easy to use as training materials are provided.

I use both of these, and have found them both to be very accurate, and useful.

A Lesson on Building a Dedicated Team in Team Building #Leadership #Sponsor #Team Building

This past weekend, as many of you know, was a Memorial Day Holiday for those of in the U.S.
For those that don't know, Memorial Day is a holiday set aside for us to commemorate, and honor, our fallen soldiers, and is always a 3 day weekend.
Many folks will take the time to go to the lake, spend time with friends and family, have a cookout, or travel to a memorial (cemetery) to reflect on a fallen family member.

That being said, I'd like to share with you my experiences over the weekend, what led up to it, and the end result.
I know what you must be thinking. “How can this possibly have anything to do with me, and building a dedicated team?”
You'll see.

It's no secret that I absolutely love the game of pool (billiards). It's been one of my greatest passions, and a goal of mine to be able to put a team together that is strong enough to handle the pressure of a national tournament. I've spent several years assembling a team that I thought could do just that, and this past weekend was the ultimate test for us.
I spent 3 days in a pool hall with 2 teams I have put together over the years, playing in one of the most grueling tournaments I have ever played in. A trip to Las Vegas to play in the national championships was on the line.
The 1st team is small, 4 players, and is considered to be some of the best of the mid-level players. My Masters team. Each player on this team knows each other very well, our strengths and weaknesses, and we all handled the pressure very well. (Unfortunately, we got knocked out in the semi-finals)

I spent many years putting the other team together. It consists of 8 players of all skill levels, 2 through 7, with 7 being the best. 4 of us have been together for over 4 years, and are dedicated to one goal, getting to the finals at the national level. 1 player was brought in a couple of years ago. She has bonded well, and is also dedicated to the team.
3 of them came on just recently, within the last 6 months, and have never had the chance to play a tournament like we played over the weekend. Of these 3, one is a higher skill level, one is mid-level (although he should be lower. He was raised up a level right before this match), and the third is a very low skill level, and has never won a match. (These last 2 are a married couple. That's important.)
I've had several months to evaluate these players before this weekends match.
The higher skill level player is very self centered, and feels that everything should be about him. Regardless of any strategy I have put together for us to win, he feels he should play every match. He always sits by himself, and the only interaction he has with team is when he impatiently asks to play.
Needless to say, he threw a temper tantrum during the course of our weekend, bringing the team spirit down. He lost the match I put him in, and stormed out, and did not return the 2nd day. Obviously, he is not dedicated to the success of the team, and as a result of his actions, has been released from the team.

My dedication to my team can never be disputed. I wanted to win it for the team. Being the captain, I alone bear the burden of deciding who should play, and who should not. Unfortunately, the married couple did not get to play because of MY lack of faith in them to get it done under this type of pressure. I honestly thought they were good with it when I asked them to sit back, and let the rest of us shoulder the burden, and the stress. I tried to let them know that they are an important part of the team, whether they play or not. I looked at it as a great learning experience for them. The rest of us treated them like family the entire weekend, but it was not enough.

To break it all down, we lost as a team in the semi-final round. Heartbreaking, to say the least.
The worst part of it all is that the married couple left without saying a word. They let the team know later that they no longer wanted to be a part of the team. They wouldn't say it, but I am certain that my decision to not play them, left them feeling isolated, and unimportant to the team. So they quit.

On one hand, I feel horrible about it because I know now that I should have found a way to use them, and make them feel useful. On the other hand, had they been dedicated to the team, they would have seen what the rest of us were trying to do for them, and they would have stayed.

Folks, there are 2 lessons here that I wish to convey to everyone.
#1) Don't ever leave anyone on your team sitting on the sidelines. Whether they are doing well or not, you need to find a way to help them understand just how important they are, not only to their business, but to the team as a whole. Sometimes, just being there for them is enough. Others may need to be given a small task to keep them interested. Whatever it takes, it's on us as team leaders to keep them motivated. If we do not, we will lose them.
#2) Always remember that, no matter how hard we try, some will never commit. They will never be happy until they find what's right for them, and they will leave.

My take on the matter is this: Build, rebuild, and rebuild some more, no matter how long it takes, until you find the right combination of players that are willing to commit to their success, and the success of the team.
Don't stress over those that leave. SWSWSW......Move on.

And above all, don't ever give up.

every new signup is automatically given a link to your welcome letter as soon as they sign up.
As an added bonus, SFI sends out multiple letters on your behalf encouraging all new signups to be active, as well as what their next steps should be.
