What sort of a person are you? in Getting Started #Getting Started #Leadership #Team Building

12 days ago

Hi Antony,

When I was a teenager, I used to love visiting with my elderly neighbor. We would sit and play cribbage for hours, sipping on his wife's homemade lemonade, all the while talking about everything, and nothing.

One day, as we were playing, this very question came up. He pointed to my glass of lemonade, and asked what I thought. Is it half full, or half empty?

I was always taught to be an optimist, therefore I pointed out that the glass was half full. His response took me by complete surprise.

He said, and I quote;
"What if I told you that both answers are wrong, and I can prove it?"
I was a very curious teenager. I always loved learning new things. And I had a feeling that what he was about to tell me would stick with me the rest of my life. I was not disappointed. His words were truly profound, and his concept has been one that I have lived by all my life.

This is what I learned;
Take any container you like. Fill it to any point with whatever material you want. Step back and take a look at it, then tell me what you see.
In your case, it's gold coins filled with delicious chocolate. In my case it was lemonade.
What you see is what you get, right? Eh......not so much. At least not in this case.
You see folks, it took 15 minutes of rigorous debate with my old friend before he convinced me that it is what you DON'T see in the container that makes all the difference. It is what you DON'T see, that keeps the container forever full.

Think about that a moment.
I believe that the container is always full, and I can prove it, if you'll answer one question for me.
"What's the one element on this earth that fills every single minute void around us?"

Hint;
It fills our lives as it fills the container.
Take a minute to breathe.

P.S.
I love that you brought up this subject. Below is one of my favorite memes. I've used the context of it in conversations with friends. It generates a lot of questions.

How to find the previous prices won in the Astro Auctions? in Astro Auctions #PSA

26 days ago

Hi Biljana,

If you open the "Flight Log" you will see all of the past auctions, and the winning bids.
You can scroll through multiple pages. This makes it a lot easier to determine your own bid.

Just a note;
If you bid enough, you will become VIP, and the info is provided to you automatically.

Hope that helps,
Good Luck

Question in Getting Started #Team Building

about 1 month ago

Hello Munkaila,

As with any business, there are never any guarantees of success, unless you, yourself, create them.
At SFI, or even any brick and mortar business, yes, it is wise to invest a bit of cash, but I believe that it is equally important to invest a bit of yourself in your business as well.
What I mean by that is this; It takes time, dedication, sometimes a little sweat, and working capital, to make a business grow.
Anyone at SFI that is willing to put in the time, and dedicate themselves to learning the business, and making use of the many tools that are given to us, can make a great living, and become successful, without ever spending a dime of your own money.
If you click on the "Training Tab" above, you'll find that the 2 most important proponents for success at SFI, are grouped together under one link at the very top of the page;
Generating Sales & Signing Up Members

If you go through some of the training, and keep visiting the Forum, you should be able to rise fairly quickly.

Hope that helps a bit.

Winning price of AA is more than MSPs! in Astro Auctions #Astro Auctions #Rewardical #TCredits

about 1 month ago

Hello sir,

Here's how I see it;

If you buy a 300 pack of T-Credits, as an affiliate, from Tripleclicks, WITHOUT auto-delivery, the cost is $96. Your cost, when you break it down, is $0.32 USD per T-Credit. (You'll see the relevance of this in a moment. Stick with me here.)

Let's go to an Astro-Auction, shall we?
We're going to bid on that 300 T-Credit pack, and our bid is 340 T-Credits. (One of your numbers.)
340 T-Credits, at a cost of $0.32 each (as noted above) = $108.80. A difference of $12.80 more than the original cost of $96.

Let's go back to the first part for a moment, because this is important.
If you go to the TC store and buy a 300 T-Credit pack for $96, but you had that extra $12.80 set aside for a few extra T-Credits, you could buy 6 singles, at a cost of $11.94. (6 x $1.99)
What I'm saying is, if you go to TC with $108.80, with the sole purpose of buying T-Credits, you will have 306 T-Credits at the end of your transaction. And you can forget that $0.32 per credit that I mentioned earlier. Your cost is now $0.355 per T-Credit.

Well, we're about to launch, so let's get back to our auction, shall we?
As luck would have it, our bid is a winner!!!! You just won 300 T-Credits at a discount price of 340 T-Credits.
Wait, what?

Let me start by saying that, as I went through the rules, I saw nothing there that said that the winner is exempt from receiving Constellation Prizes. (Please correct me if I'm wrong.)

That being said, if your winning bid is 340 TC, and you earmarked 340 TC for Constellation Prizes, not only will you receive the 300 pack, but you will also gain no less than 3400 Rewardical Tokens.
3400 RT is exchangeable for an additional 44 T-Credits. (Use the handy slide tool on the Rewardical site, under the “Redeem Rewardicals” tab, to confirm this.)
So now, your winning bid of 340 TC, has gained you 344 TC in return. Your cost is now $0.316 per T-Credit.

Oh, did I mention the many additional Constellation prizes that can be won?
Still think you're losing money?
You decide.

Banner ads in Marketing #Marketing #Team Building

about 1 month ago

Hi Milena,

I think I can help you clear this up a little.
Check out this post I did a couple of months ago. It goes into detail on how to post banners on this type of site.
www.sfimg.com/forum/thread?post_id=1457050#post-1457050

With text ads, you just need to be creative. Take short snippets of the wording available in the Marketing Aids. Then add your link.

I hope this helps a bit.

Hi Laura,

Is it possible that you may have used one of the PPA links in these particular ad campaigns?
The link would look like this:

As opposed to this:

Can I use RT Reedemed PSA in Team Coop in Team Building #Leadership #Sponsor #Team Building

2 months ago

Keith,

I'd like to add a little something here, if I may.
I am opted in at 50% in Opti-Build. I have 2 DD's on my team.
For those that are new, this means that 2 members of my team will split 50% of all of the new PSAs that I bring in. I will receive the remaining 50%. (You can learn how to qualify for Opti-Build HERE.)
However, it's been my experience, that if I set up a co-op, the co-op will always take precedence, and will be fulfilled before the rest are distributed through the Opti-Build program. (I cannot say that this is the norm. I can only attest to the fact that this is how it has worked for me.)

Is this the norm?
What's your experience?

Can I use RT Reedemed PSA in Team Coop in Team Building #Leadership #Sponsor #Team Building

2 months ago

Manuel,

You can most definitely use them in your co-op. Any PSA you recruit can be set up in a co-op.
Just make sure you use the proper Key Code.
I haven't used that particular feature yet, so I can't attest to 1104 being the correct Key Code. I thought I read somewhere that it was 1105 coming out of the Rewardical exchange. Best to do some research.
Just sayin'...

Sidebar for those that don't know:
There are those that may argue that the use of certain Key Codes is forbidden.
Based on this note, found on the Co-op page;
"NOTE: You can choose any number for your ad-based Key Codes, EXCEPT codes numbered 1100 through 1199, 1200, and 1300, which are reserved for SFI corporate use."
Don't let that sway you. All this means is that you cannot use them in your personal ads. But you CAN use them in the co-op if the PSAs come from SFI, Tripleclicks, or an ECA listed within Tripleclicks.

For those that are not certain how to set up a team co-op, simply click on Tools/Team Building/Co-op Manager/Start a new co-op. Enter the Key Code you wish to use. Enter a short description. (This is for your own reference.) Then designate either Shares or Signups. Then : Create New Co-op. (I use Signups, as this allows me to designate how many PSAs will go to each member within my co-op.)
On the next page you will be able to add each participant by affiliate ID#, as well as the number of signups you wish to designate to each one.

I hope this helps a bit.

Achieving EA status on July 30th or August 1st? in Getting Started

3 months ago

Hi Fadel,

With the new comp plan in place, we all know that the only purpose of VP is to determine rank within the company. Therefore most will say that attaining your rank at the end of the month is the perfect scenario. After all, who needs all those extra VP anyway, right?
Many may not agree with this, and that's okay, but I've always felt it best to gain my rank around the 1st of every month.
Here's why;

1st, I've always been a firm believer that if we want an active, and successful team, we, as team leaders, must lead by example. What does it say to the rest of my team if I hold out til the last day, and something happens to prevent me from advancing to my previous rank?

2nd, I'm a Silver Team Leader. I need 4000 VP to retain my rank. Easy enough, as I have the means to do this on the 1st of the month with my auto-delivery, and my Rewardicals. By the end of each month, I usually accumulate another 1000 VP, or a little more. Right now, I have 5090 VP. (I think it's important to note that the requirement for GTL is 5000 VP.)
Fact is, I like to think ahead. And with good reason.
You see, my goal for this year is to reach GTL by the end of the year. The requirements include;
3 PSAs, 2 of which must be STL or above, as well as 5000 VP.
As you can see, I already have the VP covered. My incentive for this is the fact that I have 2 BTLs on my team. Both of which could become STL at any time.
Like I said, I like to think ahead.

Don't get me wrong, not everyone will have this same scenario. I'm merely using it as an example of why I think it's important to plan ahead every month.
As to your question, 1st or last of the month? I choose the 1st.
In response to this, and I quote;
"Note: He might not be an EA again the next month!"
End quote.
There are multiple ways to go EA, as listed here;
www.sfimg.com/EA
I'm willing to bet a dollar that HE will retain his EA status for many months to come.

Traffic Exchanges in Getting Started #Getting Started #Marketing #Sales

3 months ago

Mary, I'm with you on this one.
In my opinion, TE's are a great, idle time, advertising resource. Basically, you have to view many other websites, on a set timer (Time is set by the site. Could be anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds, or more, per view.), in order to earn credits for your ad views. It's free advertising, but it takes time. That's all I'm sayin'..
Keep in mind that all of them will offer a paid version as well. Simply pay for your credits, and let the site deliver the traffic.
I like using TE's any time I'm testing a new ad.
Here's why;
I have found that a lot of internet newcomers, at some point, will end up on many of these sites. Always searching for that next shiny object. Those that are serious will sign up to SFI, the Crown Jewel of shiny objects. Just sayin'....
Pro's; I get signups from them.
Con's; Surfing takes time.

For the best definition of a Traffic Exchange, I like what Wikipedia has to say here;

I Think The Ability To Talk To Other... in Suggestion Box #Leadership #Marketing #Team Building

3 months ago

Hi Steve,

I'm going to get just a little off track here for a moment.
I've noticed that A2A has been under maintenance for quite some time now. A2A, as we all know gave us all a limited connection to a select few affiliates, not on our team.
Here's what I see:
SFI is growing at an alarming rate. Is it possible that A2A simply got overwhelmed with too many requests?
Or, and this is just speculation on my part, is it possible that A2A was beginning to open up too many pathways to cross solicitation between teams?
My guess would be the latter. Cross solicitation can be a huge detriment to a company like SFI as too many newcomers can easily be led astray by the "Next Shiny Object".

Just my opinion.

Solo (Email) Ads

Hey y'all,
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day, or night. (Don't wanna leave anyone out.)

I sent the most amazing email, solo ad yesterday pertaining to NGRQ.
Many of you may not be aware that in our Marketing Aids, there is already a text ad that relates to this very subject. It is long enough to be used as an email and describes NGRQ perfectly.
Check this out:
I used this headline:
Don't Fall for Get Rich Quick Schemes
“Dear Potential Business Owner:

If you are like me, you've searched the Internet over and wasted lots of time and money with "get rich quick" businesses that turned out to be schemes. I've always wanted to start my own business that was LEGITIMATE and HONEST (and not a "pie in the sky" fairy tale). Well, I did it! I've officially started my own home business as an affiliate with SFI (Strong Future International). Here are some of the reasons why I decided to go with SFI:

* Their parent company has been around since 1985.
* It's free to get started.
* They're in over 200 countries worldwide.
* You can do everything from home on your computer.
* 24-hour support.
* Free training and free Website.
* They're growing rapidly and there's lots of money to be made.

There's nothing to lose and everything to gain here, including more time with your family and more money in your wallet. It's well worth looking at SFI and investing in your future with us. For more information, see [your gateway here]”

This has already gained a lot of attention since I mailed it. And it was sent on a Free Ad site!!
Here's how:
Find a Free ad site by looking for Safelists, Text ad sites, or any site that will accept email ads.
Make sure you look for Promo Codes to use, you will receive more mailing credits that way, and you will be able send your email to more people.
If they offer you a free solo ad, use it, as these are more widely viewed by the members.
It's easy to do. Find the link that says Setup ads, or Send Email, and follow the steps provided.
Click send, and watch the results. And don't forget to use Key Codes in your gateway links. That way you can see your performance.

SFI's text ads are amazing, and can be used in a great many ways, but we'll dive into that another time.

4 months ago

You make a very compelling point Marilynn.
I actually did see many of the responses on this subject as I was doing the research for my post.
12 months ago, you posted this question: Downloadable banner images?
www.sfimg.com/forum/thread?id=94360&pg=1

This was Gery's response, and I quote:
"HI Marilynn,

Yes, you would be violating policy. We want you to use the HTML code so that when we update an image, headline, text, etc. that it will automatically be updated on your end. If you and others download the actual image, we'll end up with thousands of obsolete and inaccurate ads across the Web. That of course would not be good for you or us and could even get SFI in hot water."
End quote.

Every response I found pertained to "Downloaded Images". I can see the downside of using them, as per Gery's response, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
My post, however, has to do with using snippets of the HTML code provided for us. Using the URL for the image will allow for the image on the posted banner to change when it is updated, provided the URL does not change along with the image. Whereas a downloaded image will not.
I'll certainly welcome your help here. If you can find something pertaining to the use of snippets of code somewhere, please share.
Personally, I think it would be detrimental to the growth of the company if it were NOT allowed. How many thousands of affiliates would lose their business if creative use of code were not allowed in our advertising?
Just sayin'...

Marilynn,

I truly appreciate your feedback, and the heads up.
However, I too have read the disclaimers, and warnings given to us with each banner.
In my opinion, they are there to let us know that using the HTML code ONLY, on your personal website or blog, is the best way to help keep them updated as they are updated by SFI in real time.

I have read the rules on every page I can find, and have found absolutely nothing that says we are forbidden to break these codes up for use on sites that do not accept HTML codes, and do not belong to us personally.
If I had, I would not have written this post.

Just a thought....
We have many new affiliates that join every single day, that have no website, or blog of their own, and have no clue how to begin to build them. Many have no funds.
Where will they turn to if the benefits of these Free ad sites, that do not allow HTML, cannot be utilized to their fullest potential?

If my interpretation of the rules is incorrect, I would expect the moderators, and/or corporate, to let me know fairly quickly.
Thank you again for your feedback.

Banners

Hey y'all,
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day, or evening, depending on where you are.

Ya know, quite often here at the Forum we see posts about the importance, and the massive benefits of using free advertising. All great posts, don't get me wrong, but none of them have gone into detail on how to place Free ads on a Free ad site. And I have not been able to find these details anywhere on the SFI site.
Just to be clear, the Free ad sites being referred to include, but are not limited to:
Traffic Exchanges, Banner Exchanges, Safelists, etc. (We will define these at another time.)

That being said, I think I can help.

The picture below shows one of SFI's many banners available to us in the Marketing aids section of SFI. It is also the most common size used on most Free ad sites, 468 X 60.

In the Marketing Aids section, along with the banner, you are given a long code to use. This is referred to as an HTML code. Many are quite lengthy, and will not be accepted by MOST Free ad sites. These codes are great for use on your own web/blog site, and on SOME ad sites. But, most Free ad sites use only a portion of this code. It saves space on their servers, and simplifies things a bit for those folks that are not given the full code for the banner to begin with.

The banner in the pic uses this code:
<a href='https://www.sfi4.com/xxxxxxxx/reca'><img src='http://sfibanners.csidn.com/banner574.jpg' border='0'></a>
As you can see, it can be a little confusing, to say the least. Especially when most Free ad sites show you this:
(I had this as an image, but it was too large to upload.)

Set up a new campaign:
#1) Banner Name:
#2) Banner Url:
#3) Target Url:

The first box, Banner Name, is self explanatory. The banner in the pic is for Rewardicals, RWD, whatever name you want to give it.

The second box, Banner URL, is the link used by the website to locate the image that will be used in the banner ad. In this case it will use the pic in the example above. In this particular example, the link to the image in this banner, is the second highlighted section in the code above:
http://sfibanners.csidn.com/banner574.jpg

The third box, Target URL, is YOUR Gateway, YOUR sign-up page. This is where visitors are sent any time they click on your banner. The Gateway in this example is is shown in the first highlighted section of the code above:
https://www.sfi4.com/xxxxxxxx/reca

Just for fun, go to: My Account, Team Building, My Gateways. Look for the link above. I'm willing to bet you'll find a match. And don't forget, you can always insert key codes into these links. This is highly recommended. It's much easier to keep track of what is working, and what is not.
I use them all the time, and I can honestly say that it is worth the extra few seconds it takes.

A little challenge to everyone interested in using Free ads; join as many of these sites as you can. Look for promo codes. You will get many more ad spots that way.
Place as many ads as you are allowed. Most sites will allow you to place a variety of banners, text ads, website links, etc. Mix them up. Use a variety of them, test them, check your stats as often as you can. Keep the one's that are working, and replace the others until you find a good mix of working ads.

That's the basics on banners, which, by the way, make for some of the best advertising on the net, if used correctly.
I hope everyone got a little something out of it.
Let me know in the comments if you'd like to see more like this.

Team-Leaders-You Unconsciously Said Yes To Frustration!!! in Marketing #Marketing

4 months ago

Hi Bruce,

You've hit the nail on the head with your post. In my opinion, if you don't get a little frustrated from time to time, you're not trying hard enough.
Frustration in this business comes from advertising that doesn't work.
It comes every time you lose an affiliate, whether they opt out, or simply disappear.
It comes when we fall short of our goals for the month.
You get my point.
Frustration comes when we believe we have failed. But if you ask me, I believe that each little failure, and frustration, brings us one step closer to success. After all, even the most successful were prone to failure along the way.

As for Ms. Glecy, I may have a little insider info. (She's my sponsor)
Turns out that she has been having a bit of a connection issue. None of her devices have been loading properly for just over a week now.
I'm sure we will see her back in full swing before too long.

About the 4 CSAs. in Compensation

4 months ago

Hi Mihai,

Sorry to hear about your team.
Try not to look back on it, but instead, look forward to building a bigger and better team.

One of the advantages I see in adding new co-sponsors to the team is that more people will be making money.
While it's true that we do not make money directly from anyone in our upline, including co-sponsors, they are there to help you succeed in your business, and can be considered a great source of new information and methods that some others may not have. I would encourage everyone to take advantage of these new resources.
And who knows, you may even make a new friend or 2 along the way.
In my opinion, this is a huge benefit for everyone.

I have 24,775 Rewardicals Tokens... How would you use them? in Miscellaneous #Rewardical #Sales #VersaPoints

4 months ago

Oh my gosh!!
Now THAT'S thinking outside the box.
Somebody bring me a calculator.
How many Rewardicals did you say that was?

Tommie,
Your question brings 2 things to mind.
Mass accumulation of Rewardicals could lead to profit if you were to use them to invest in either silver, or Bitcoin. Both of which have been stagnant of late.
On the other hand, since you are a huge advocate for free advertising, I'm going to guess that you earned the biggest portion of them for free, so why not use them to add more free affiliates to your team?
I tend to agree with Michael A. on this one. And I would encourage every new affiliate to consider this:
Earn as many Rewardicals as you can every month.
Use what you need to enhance your rank, if need be.
Use what you can to enhance your team.
Repeat, until this part of the process is no longer needed.
Then, save away.

Just my opinion.
