How do I go about finding ECAs in my own city?

You may not find them in your city if it's a small place. But you will be able to find them in your region most of the time. You may have to set it at 100 miles or more in order to find anyone close depending on where you live. I live in Kansas but wasn't able to find anyone in my town because it's small. So that means I have this whole territory to myself and can go to the chamber of commerce and find businesses to contact.
How much should an SFI affiliate spend on advertising each month?

First you need to set up a budget. What can you afford to spend? "If it's to be it's up to me." is good advice. It doesn't have to be expensive. If you can afford $30 a month it's a good start and you can invest in Sbuilder and get a free PSA every week or so for that amount. But it's up to you to train them well once you receive them. They may have been under an affiliate who never contributed to their welfare, so you have to reassure them that you're there for them every step of the way and eventually they will be asking questions and you'll be giving them the support they deserve. So in answer to your question, it's whatever you can afford to spend each and every month and set up Sbuilder as a standing order and you'll never have to worry about your business.

That would be one way, and it would definitely help you start getting the downline you need, but I would also recommend trying some other products as well. There are so many truely delightful products that I've used and just switching to your own store and buying things you need from yourself is a great way of eliminating those bills, using less gas, and not to mention postage stamps. You might also want to try some of the offline business builders like the business cards, ecards, and flyers you can use to find new members and triple clicks sales.

That depends on whether you're doing it online or offline.
If online, I recommend that you first set up an eyecatching lead capture page with a good autoresponder service.
You should be able to locate them for free or with a
thirty day trial by searching out the key words.
This way people can opt in to receive your information
and will have to give you their name and email or other info to get it.
Next, you could also offer them a free report or a good
eBook.
Next, set up the conference room with whichever gateway you wish to promote and send out invitations

Do a search for used products for free or low cost and buy as many as you can, or just one that sells well. It can be an anything, just use your imagination. If you would buy it, someone else will too. Then list it on Triple Clicks using the same picture and description. Go to https://www.tripleclicks.com/myaccount/itemLister.php to list your products using only 1 tcredit. Don't have any tcredits? Join Wave 3 for only $1.95 one time to get 5 free a month plus a bunch of other neat business building products.

How does sponsoring many affiliates help me?

When affiliates sign up under you and buy something, you will earn a commission. This is how multilevel marketing works. As they begin to earn a commission, so do you. So it's always best to begin teaching them how to duplicate your efforts by sending them an e-mail at least every three days or so and showing them how to do what you're doing. Then unless they remove themselves from your downline, they will continue to receive your lessons and before you know it, you'll be receiving commissions on their efforts.

What is your experience or your opinion about running contests (and providing prizes) to motivate your PSAs?

Contests are a good incentive to reach higher, but remember when you run a contest that you should keep it reasonable and don't give away more than you can afford to. Also, be aware that there are some who won't move no matter what you do. They're tire kickers and there are always going to be these types no matter what business you're in. Work with the workers and don't let the ones who won't work worry you. They either get it, or they don't. It's that simple.
What is the best way to inspire a sense of TEAM participation?

First, you need to be a team player yourself. Ask questions of your own team leaders and let them know how you're doing. Then seek out those who are working hard and give them some encouragement. Offer your assistance to anyone who seems to be having a rough time understanding things. Be a mentor, a sponsor, a team builder, and that means building them up by encouraging them and giving them good incentives. Have contests, make it fun and enjoy yourself and you'll see your team members doing more.

How do I present the SFI/TC opportunity to a prospect without "overselling" it and turning them off?

Ask them questions. "He who asks the question holds the power."
The answers to the questions gives you the way to present the opportunity without overselling.
Ask the following questions.
Do you have a website?
Most people will be more than happy to give you their web address.
Have you ever considered working from home?
This is a simple yes or no answer and if they say yes, ask if they've ever tried and if they say no, you can ask the following...
Are you making enough from your current job to be financially independant?
Again, yes or no. If no, ask,
Can I show you a way to get past the learning curve and start making money right away?
And give them your card from wave3 and ask them for an email address and phone number so you can follow up.
If yes, thank them and tell them to have a nice day.

Like everyone else is telling you, sometimes there's nothing you can do. People are skeptical and sometimes they will sign up with a bogus e-mail to try and kick the tires before they decide, and those people just can't be reached.
The good news is that they'll be reminded by one of our ads and be back some day. So we need to concentrate on the ones who are working hard and give them something to hold onto. Just be an awesome sponsor and keep your sites on the people you know who would benefit the most from their own business.
The rest will take care of themselves.
