The SFI Forum is unique in online communities focused on marketing and business development.

I am not aware of a similar meeting place with such high quality of professional exchange of ideas, personal as well as professional interaction among business people who have the same interest and help one another with such degree of generosity. It is a learning circle, a mentoring avenue, and a stress mitigating place.

I have noticed, in many instances, that an affiliate posts at the Forum thinking that their issue is out of the ordinary. However, the input they get from other Forum members help them see it in a different light, and relieve them from the stress they seemed to have. They find out that either they are not seeing their problem with the correct understanding, or a relatively easy solution may be available.

In such interactions, a direct understanding from a common language can make a big positive difference. It takes out all possibilities of misunderstanding when working with translations or with a language we do not fully master.

The Country/Region Sub-Forums extend these benefits and positive impacts much further. In addition to greater understanding, professional and personal interactions, mentoring, and problem solving, the sub-forums create opportunities for both team building within SFI as well as sales and sponsoring outside of SFI.

For team leaders and affiliates who are more comfortable with other languages than English, the sub-forums offer an environment where they can discuss. in local terms, questions and issues they want to solve. A sponsor can help their PSA directly. A co-sponsor can understand the problem facing his/her CSA. They have no language barriers to overcome. They have a greater understanding of the solutions that are offered. This make the implementation of such solutions much easier.

Furthermore, they get input from other affiliates that speak the same language, are familiar with the specifics in their countries and regions, and the shortcuts available to ensure greater and faster success.

Such inputs will be very beneficial in their advertising, sales and sponsoring efforts. With greater ease, they will be able to adapt SFI strategies and tactics to local circumstances, in their countries and regions.

This is the spirit, goals and approach you can use the Country/Region Sub-Forums to build your team if English is not your primary language.

Further, SFI gives us the option to use other ways for reaching the same goal. However those alternative ways take much longer time.

EA status enlightens the Affiliate on the merits of good work ethics and the value of sponsoring to grown one's downline.

As an SFI Business owner, I see my EA status in light of the benefits it affords me. I do not see it as benefiting my sponsor per say, let alone at as greed motivation from his part. I am the one who benefits the most from my EA status.

It is my opinion that an affiliate should be grateful to their sponsor. After all he is the one who introduced them to this opportunity. I do not agree with the affiliate who complain that their sponsor is not devoting time to them, is not helping them, is not answering their questions. For me, most of the answers are already available. Working to find them helps us retain the answer and give us the ability to convey the same information to our own affiliates it they were to ask us similar questions.

Likewise, investing to gain and maintain EA status is to our own benefits more than to our sponsor. If my sponsor advises me to invest and work to maintain my EA status, I would see it as a favor from him, motivated by his interest to see me succeed; definitely not as greed from his part.

You, as a sponsor, you should focus on helping your affiliates see the benefits and the gains they will enjoy by reaching, and maintaining their EA status. This should be your focus. If you genuinely have your affiliates's best interests, your own gains will not come into the picture, to give them any thoughts about greed from your part.

EA status is only the beginning. Real success, sizable commissions and substantial residual income require the Affiliate to move forward, make greater progress, reach high ranks while developing their own team.

It is your role as a sponsor to show them the merits, help them visualize the benefits and the rewards of doing so.

Experience is the major factor in answering your question: Experience is dealing with prospects and overcoming their objections; experience in running a successful online marketing business ; and experience in combining two or more endeavors, be they businesses or hobbies.

But, first, it important that we approach this question with a different frame of mind.

I. Re-framing your Question

In your wording of this question, it may appear that your perception of an engagement with another business is an obstacle or at least, an objection or a challenge to convincing somebody to join SFI.
Put differently, you are saying that being involved with another online business may deter somebody join from joining SFI, or it may make it more difficult for us to convince them.
You may want to re-frame that perception.
In fact being involved with another network marketing opportunity is a major advantage.
Look at your goals in your profile or look at the a2a page and the research words for finding a existing a2a member.
You will notice how highly rated is an experience with another network marketing business.
Thus, to successfully approach such prospects, it is important to view their experience as a very positive one, build on it and help them see the true potential SFI is offering.

II. An Engagement with Another Network Marketing Business is not an Obstacle
First, many SFI affiliates have more than one business they run in addition to SFI.
That is my personal case and there are many more especially among the senior SFI Affiliates.
It is a policy statement that SFI allows us, the affiliates, to be involved with other businesses. Thus we have the experience of what it takes to run our SFI affiliates marketing programs simultaneously with other endeavors.
When we fill our SFI profile, that profile is rated higher if we already have a concomitant or previous involvement with online marketing.
That experience is critical in presenting SFI, overcoming objections and convincing prospects of the validity and potential SFI is offering

III. Being Successfully Engaged with Other Marketing Businesses is an Advantage with SFI
There is a minimum of knowledge required to successfully run an online business.
There also is a minimum of organizational skills to run two or more businesses similar to SFI.
Yes, there is a significant demand on our time to engage with SFI and be successful at it. The ability to run SFI is similar to the same set of skills for running other similar endeavors. It requires us to be able to focus on the actions that are most likely to yield the best results that will also produce the greatest impact.
A prospect that has such skills will not see his engagement with his current business as an obstacle or a hindrance to his involvement with SFI.
On the contrary, they will readily realize the benefits.

This is the key to attracting students to SFI

Thus, the answer to your question is highly country specific, because the circumstances of the above conditions are country specific.

It is true that this group of the population is an excellent target and a potential source of business leaders.

But, only those mature enough and open minded would consider taking this route this early in their lives. The ones who do will very likely succeed at higher levels.

Hence, to effectively attract students to SFI, you have to take into account what would motivate them to join, and be active. You do not want bring in somebody who has not interested in taking the business seriously.

A. In the USA, for instance, you will find students in all age groups.

(a) Adults are going back to school for various financial and personal reasons.
(b) High School graduates are eager to earn extra spending money.
(c) Graduate students would want to pay off their students debt.

You will be well advised to use these circumstances to attract them to SFI

B. In Europe, especially in countries like France, the situation is completely different. Higher education is not as expensive as in North America
Thus, you have to use the Entrepreneurship Spirit card. Those who have this spirit are your target population.

The situation is closely the same in Australia and New Zealand.

C. In the countries that sprung out of the break of the former Yugoslavia, you have to use the lack of strong employment opportunities. Any business requires investments. The level of resources and their efficient use determine the quality of outcome: the bottom line of our business results in our "Loss and Profits" statement. Time is the most valuable resource. It is not expandable. We all have the same amount. How we use our time efficiently in running our business is the major factor. Financial resources may be necessary at some point. But, from the moment we start, use of our time will be of essence. It is the most important investment.

Your question, actually point to the aspects of "How far can we go without making financial investments, or re-investing at least part of our earnings into SFI. My answer will be in the first two months.

However we should note that choosing to do so will be costly to a large extent. An affiliate who does not have a Standing Order (SO) in their first month, does not get the New Member Pack (NMP) will miss the Gold Fast Track and the Pin that is rewarded for it. They will also miss the 100 bonus action VersaPoints that come with the SO. Unless they finish all "Getting started" and "Intermediate Activity" as well as their Launchpad lessons, they will not do well in the E365 contest.

If they choose to go through all the activity in their first month, they will very likely struggle to maintain their rank in the second month.

It may be a costly decision for an affiliate to choose to start their SFI journey without investing financially, especially if they have the means to do so.

For an affiliate who does not have disposable financial resources to invest in SFI, or does not wish to do so with "out of pocket" expenditures, the first month is critical. This first month is both the learning period and the best opportunity to involve their "warm market" (family, friends, business relationships, and other acquaintances). It is very much conceivable that one can start building their SFI business in their first two months and earn commissions accordingly. The larger the team their build, the greater their potential for earning commissions and sales revenues.

Their sponsoring should focus both on bringing in Personally sponsored affiliates (PSA) and e-Commerce Affiliates (CSAs)

Their sales efforts should also involve Tripleclicks Direct products and ECA listings. They can also sell Pricebenders auction membership and earn hefty commissions.

If the affiliate is focused enough to successfully learn the inner workings of SFI, its rules of success, advertising, sponsoring, selling to their warm market and outside, they can compensate for the lack of financial investments. This will require from them a great deal of time, focus, determination and relentlessness.

From that early success, it is imperative to re-invest some of the earnings. It is self evident that a Standing order is critical.

One may look at your question at two different levels
At an individual level, one single person may not think they will make a worldwide impact.
Such an ambition may sound too unrealistic and doomed to failure.

At a team level, from two complementary perspectives of both each individual SFI Team and the whole SFI Affiliate network itself, then, your ambition may be realistic.

It is very much possible for the entire SFI Team to make it known worldwide, be successful and earn sizeable income each one of us individually.
We will discuss those two understandings and approaches.

I. At an Individual Level, our Impact will always be limited
Your first limitation is the language barrier. Yes, English is widely spoken, but if you want to effectively reach the Indian, Philippines and Pakistani markets (three of the four most active SFI countries), you may also need to use Hindu, Spanish and Tagalog or Urdu as well.
Your second limitation is related to the instruments and tools you are thinking of using.
To point to such limits, we only need to look at the challenges we are facing today to promote SFI and Tripleclicks in the major social websites such as Facebook and Pinterest.
Everybody has experienced is will likely experience the limitations, if not the impossibility, of posting direct SFI links on Facebook.
The same may go as far as Pinterest is concerned. I personally have experienced it.
What this tells us is: we have a sizable worldwide SFI team whose members are eager to use any available tool to promote their businesses. The sheer impact of those combined actions will overwhelm any social media website and push their management to find way to curtail such impact.
Hence one single SFI Affiliate cannot undertake a massive action that would yield the results you seem to target.
Instead of a single individual action, those results can be achieved with a series of multiple actions of all the SFI Team members, or at a lower level, by the actions of the team you build.

II. At a Team Level, the Impact of our Actions is Multiplied
You are building a team, which is part of the overall SFI Affiliate Network.
This is a perfect mirror to today’s social media.
We have worldwide reach social media websites such as Facebook, Pinterest, Tumblr, Reddit , Twitter, just to name a few, and others. Working with them may require us to use some innovative thinking and indirect marketing approaches
