Never turn anyone away who comes to you and asks for help. When you give without expectations, you're always rewarded. This is called the law of reciprocity and it's just as valid a law as the law of gravity! Network marketing is a helping business, and some of the most successful companies in the world are based on mentoring others. So any time a fellow man (or woman) comes to you asking for help, you must always do whatever you can to help. And if you don't know the answer, just send them a link where they can find the help they need.

Selling products is one of the best/fastest ways to earn money with SFI. What is the most effective way to generate product sales?

Imho, (in my humble opinion) The most effective way to make sales is through consistence. If you consistently use the tools offered to you and blog, share, and use social networks like Facebook and twitter, you will find that people will follow you and see that you're serious about your business and soon will follow suit. Also utilize all the banners, text ads, and other marketing tools in traffic exchanges, ad sites and safelists, which you will easily find by entering the words in various search engines. All these tools working together will bring you sales.
Remember this. Like attracts like. Work consistently, doing all you can to make sales, and sales will come to you consistently. Give and you will be given.
Also make sure you're staying in touch with your affiliates, and even if you don't have any yet, prepare as if you have by posting encouraging words in the stream.
The key is to believe as if you already have it. So go out and start believing and doing what you need to do in order to recieve the things you want. Make it a habit and it becomes easier. Do these things on a daily basis and you will have no choice BUT to be successful!

I want to start doing Pay-Per-Click advertising. What do I need to know before I get started?

My advice is to not start this if you have limited funds and don't understand how it works very well. This is very much a for profit business for the owners of the search engines and as such they will have a lot of ways to trip you up if you're not savvy to the way it works. So make sure you know what you're doing before you get started. I tried it once when I was a newbie and ended up owing a lot of money I couldn't afford to invest and lost my virtual shirt in the deal.
One of the best ways to get your advertising out is to blog and write articles, or use other people's articles with their permission, which can be very easily obtained by asking. Most people are very flattered if you want to use their articles as long as you give credit where it's due. You can link their keywords to articles you find online and have a lot of rich backlinks. This is way better in my book than Pay Per Click.
You might also consider Pay Per Click email marketing, safelist marketing, and traffic exchange or ad exchange marketing which can also be very low cost and often free.
If you still wish to use pay per click sites like Google Adsense, make sure you have a big enough budget to pay for the highest cost keywords, because there is a very stiff competition for these words and there are some big companies that are able to pay in the thousands for the best ones so you may not be in their league. Most often the little people like us have very little chance of stepping into this form or marketing unless we have a unique set of words that aren't being used much. But like I mentioned earlier, you can always Google the words pay per click and shop around and find sites that maybe don't charge as much if anything. So just try the waters and see how it goes.

When should we give up on CSAs who don't respond to our messages or do anything?

Never give up on anyone! It may just take some time fo r them to get it, or they may have just gotten sidetracked temporarily by all the hype from the get rich quick schemes, but if you are patient and persistent they will eventually open their eyes and it will click in the heads. They will in and start to be active then. Don't try to force feed them. SFI's system will send them messages also, so until they actually come and delete their account, they are still getting messages from their upline members and you.
Just keep it going, send them a nice reminder or encouraging thought every few days and let them decide on their own. It took me over ten years to make up my mind that SFI was what I wanted. Normally it doesn't take that long. I had to sign back up, because I was a member before Gery took over. This is a whole new system and it works to help people and doesn't try to force anyone to pay for anything. That being said, some people just sign up thinking they'll be paid for doing nothing because so many other programs try to promise that. Once they learn the truth they'll be back and you'll know it because they will thank you for hanging in there and being patient enough to let them be themselves and not being a bully trying to make them pay.

How do you decide which SFI banner is the best and most suitable for your website?

First of all, what type of website is it? If it's a business website, then you may want to use one that goes with what you're selling, so you'll want to use the SFI and TripleClicks. If it's more of a family or personal website you might want to target families, and advertise cleaning products, or health and wellness, pet products, etc...
You also want to take into consideration where you're placing the banner. If it's a small sidebar you might want to use a small 125 x 125 button or a vertical banner. If it's a bigger page and you have plenty of space, you'll probably want to use a 468 x 60 or bigger banner.

If they are asking questions, you're doing great. This means that they trust you enough to allow you to help them. So tell them to do the SFI Basics and just do four easy steps. Also the red tabs will guide them to do everything they need to, and it's very important to read all the e-mails from you and from corporate. They need to absorb as much information as possible. Tell them to do each day what they can, but not to get discouraged if others pass them by. Their education is the most important thing right now. Training, then work, not money - comes first.
Also remind them that there is a support forum and customer support they can go to if they get stuck and can't wait for you or their co sponsor to help them.
If they can afford to set up a standing order, that's good too, but if not there's no big hurry. We all learn at different paces. If they're truly desperate to make money fast, then the best thing to do is sign up for triple clicks and start finding ECA's who have products and services that they can sell, using the links for SFI affiliates.
Last but not least, remind them that Rome wasn't built in one day and neither is a business, and even though it's on the internet, it's still works with the same rules of any business you start yourself. There's going to be some expense, and it's going to either be money or time. The more money you invest, the less time it will take, and visa versa.

How do I encourage my affiliates to set up a Standing Order?

The best way to encourage them to set up a standing order is to do it yourself. They're more likely to do something if they see that you're doing it. Let them know what kind of results you've been getting and suggest a standing order that works the best for you. Tell them that having an SO will allow them to move through the ranks unimpeded and will help them save time as well as making life easier for them. No more need to set up reminders or having to requalify over and over again.

I only recently started making full use of this tool. I'm using it to target my team members through all the different filters that tell me whether they're working hard and getting their VP, or not, PLUS they give me all the tools I need to check out whether they've been in SFI for a while or if they're newbies.
First I use the filter with a lesser than value (<) for less than 100 VP and send to those affiliates that have maybe gotten stuck or haven't logged in or done anything much after signing up. I may even bribe them a little to get them to log back in and do their todo list, or get their attention with a really good subject line and maybe offer them something simple like an ebook that might help them in some way.
Then I use the greater than value, or (>) to find those who have more than 100 VP to offer rewards and incentives. Most people love recognition. So I try to always recognize a job well done.
These filters can make a real difference in how we find those affiliates who may have gotten stalled or sidetracked. And when a sponsor is persistent and keeps on working on someone when no once else does, it makes a big impression.

I am not Internet savvy and have no clue about setting up a Website. Should I get a VeryVIP Hosting package or what other options are good?

This is one option and like the others I recommend that you keep an open mind and are willing to do the training first, then think about making money. A hosting account is a great way to get started, but make sure you have a good support system and can follow a few simple steps to get going. It's not as difficult as it may seem.
I learned the hard way. I just signed up for hosting and start pushing buttons and learned basically through and error. Sometimes this is good, but for me I lacked a
lot of knowledge and had to teach myself and be taught by others. I learned how to
run a safelist first, then a traffic exchange, and then began hosting other people's
sites. My hosting re-seller business was the best thing I ever did and I will be doing
it again as soon as I can afford it.
You have to do what's right for YOU. All we can do is make suggestions.
