To me the answer is very simple - I will only promote products I will buy myself and that I believe in.

Example - I have never and will never use diet pills of any sort. They might work for some but to me the answer is healthy eating - not pills. Do you think I would be able to convince anybody that they should try it? The answer is a simple NO.

Look at what's available. Promote what you believe in and you will do a great job.

Apart from those tips I would suggest the following - you have enough time - read your questions carefully and understand what they are asking - do they ask for the MOST popular of LEAST popular answers?

Try to use logic to answer the questions - remember the questions are based on the answers of the majority in the Survey response questions - if you know that your way of thinking is usually in line with most other people's way of thinking it is easy - but if you know that you are usually the unique thinker in a group you might have to choose the opposite of what you would usually answer.

With all the tips and things you can try - I think it is still a shot in the dark game and you might or might not guess what the majority of people are thinking.

Have fun with the game and don't try too hard - it might just be the best tip I can give you - if you have fun you do not overthink everything and then you have a good chance to guess the correct answer.

When you say your communication skills are not good - do you mean speaking to people or do you mean any and all forms of communication? If it is speaking to people it is not such a big issue - you will be communicating mostly in writing.

In my opinion a very important skill you need to be a good supporting sponsor is great "listening" skills - "listen" to your affiliates, "listen" to what they need. They may not be asking their questions from you - but keep your eyes open - they often ask questions at the Forum.

If you see a lot of the same question at ASK SC or The Forum - answer that question in your weekly newsletter. Chances are very good if others are battling with it your affiliates are also battling with it.

One advantage of communicating via the written word is that you can choose your words very carefully, make sure you do not suck nonsense out of your thumb. You can make sure of your facts, refer them to links, write and re-write your letters. TIP - keep a copy of every letter you write so you can use it again later on - as you get new affiliates you have to guide them from the beginning again so you can use the appropriate letters to send to them to train them. Before you re-send them you can edit them if need be.

On a personal level - do you know why I rate my sponsor and co-sponsor as awesome? Because they got to know me on a more personal level through e-mails, when I wanted to quit they encouraged me telling me to hang in there and just do my best. When I asked questions they answered them in their own words and gave me a link where I could get more information. They set an example for me - I looked at their badges and worked to get my own badges.

Just be sincere with a genuine desire to help your affiliates and you will be fine and do you know what is going to happen? The more confidence you gain in your knowledge of SFI, TripleClicks and Marketing, the easier it will become to speak to people face to face and tell them about your business. It is funny - no matter how shy you are, when you know what you are talking about and when you are passionate about something you can not stop talking about it.

Best way - become a student. Read, read and read as much as possible.

Ask questions - here, at the Forum and your up-line.

Do not be afraid - you have nothing to fear. Try new things, if they work it is great - if they do not work - learn a lesson from it.

Make a decision to succeed and go for it - with all the ups and downs.

You only fail when you give up.

If you have enough affiliates in close vicinity of you, you are in a very good position to arrange training sessions, seminars, workshops, recruitment drives and social gatherings.

A training session would be a good pace to start with your current team.

Before you structure your session you can ask your affiliates to tell you what they would like to hear or learn in a training session. If you get a lot of requests rather split it up in more than one session.
Why do I say you ask your affiliates? They are in it already - if you tell them things they know already they won't get value from it but if you explain things they are battling with they are going to sit up and pay attention and get value out of your session. Give them value and they will come again.

Once you know what you will be covering you can send out invitations with a properly structured agenda. Ask them to RSVP by a specific date so you have enough time to prepare. Draw up a checklist of everything you need to do and organise and make sure you are well prepared.

Once your team is trained you can all work together to do recruitment drives, workshops - whatever you need to build your team and your business. If you work together you can all have success.

Webinars can be a great tool or a huge disaster. I am not negative but I think you need to look at the possibilities of what can go wrong so that you can have a solution available.
I work for an International company and our HQ is in Portugal. I've been involved in a few webinars over the last 5 years - both training and joined projects. I considered one training session a success - the rest did not teach me a thing. I worked on one project that was implemented without problems, the rest .... well lets just say it caused more problems than solutions.

Why did everything not go well?

1. Time differences (Portugal, UK, Canada, USA, France and South Africa)
2. Bad connections - one moment we are all online the next one or more country is
disconnected and we have to stop to get them back.
3. Hosts or presenters / trainers that was not well prepared and bored the living day
lights out of everybody.
4. Language - everything is done in English but sometimes the accent is so bad that it
sounds like a different language.
5. Too much information - it makes your head spin after a while and it either takes
too long or it is rushed and does not have real impact.

Find ways around these problems and you will have great success.

A very good alternative you can consider is a video blog. The advantages of this:

1. You get to fix any slip ups before you post it - so you can make sure it is
perfect and professional.
2. You can ask family or friends to watch it before posting - if they are bored your
audience will probably be bored to and if they like it - so will your audience.
3. You can do a series of blogs - each on it's own topic - short and interesting.
4. Your down line can send in questions before you do your blog and you can be
specific - that way you give them the information they need and not a mountain of
information they know already.
5. They can watch and learn at their own time and pace.
6. You build up a library of valuable tools you can use again and again.

All of this is for training. For marketing and workshops I think it will work better if you concentrate on smaller groups in the same time zone - easier to find a time everybody can attend. (you might have to schedule a few in other parts of the world that will have you doing it in the middle of the night but daytime for your audience)

For marketing it is a good idea to get a group together in one room - like students at a college or university - for example students studying marketing - if you impress their lecturers they might include SFI business as part of their course.

I will tell you what I did to make it clear what you should not do.

I discovered SFI and after my initial scepticism I got caught up and jumped in head first boots and all I was as green as you could be with no marketing experience - come to think of it, I don't think I even realised that marketing was what I was suppose to do. I was all over the place the first 2 months and I was happy with myself (qualifying as EA with no problem at all) Then in month 3 I realised I am missing something. I was forced to slow down and start asking questions, following my sponsors instructions and definitely go back and start all over.

When you are finished doing that you move to the black bar and start reading there.

When you go to the Marketing tab SFI gives you the tools to use and they tell you how to use them.

Fact is - once you start learning and using what is available to you, you learn as you go.
Just have a look - you will find tutorials, articles, videos, all kinds of tools - everything you need to learn and to build your business is right here - just use it.

Once you know how to use everything you can start adding your own little gems and get creative. Also keep in mind - the internet is constantly evolving, new sites, new technology, new trends - so I don't think you would ever be able to say I know it all.

My final word of advice - Please don't rush in head over heels like I did - first get to know what it is about and use what SFI provides.

Let them use the SFI tools available to work out their own business plan as well as calculating their potential income. You can share your own income history with them.

People need to see figures of the possibilities before the penny will drop.
Testimonials of other affiliates will also go a long way to understand.

They might not see it as serious immediately - but keep going, they will eventually understand it. We all understand in different ways and at our own pace - allow them to do that.

I would say warm recruitment on a one on one basis will be the best way. SFI offers senior citizens an opportunity to earn extra for their retirement. You also have to make sure you give them the guidance they need.

Having said that - Something to keep in mind is that today's senior citizens are not like the "old" people we were used to growing up. They are a lot more "hip" and "happening". They are more with it. They are on Facebook, they surf the net just like the rest of the world and they are not just interested in disease and medicine to make them feel better. I suggest you place adverts in the normal places with the focus of your adverts the extra income retirees can earn.

Before you jump in and start recruiting senior citizens - I think you want to target them because you feel they will be more committed than younger people - but do not limit yourself to one group - that would be short changing yourself.

When I first started to look for ways to make money online I started looking for jobs like that. (filling in forms, typing letters for lawyers, courts etc)

I thought if I use my strengths I will make a lot of money. Although English is not my 1st language I can express myself well enough and I can spell. I can also type fast and accurately - whether I understand the language or not.

Logic told me that all I have to do is apply myself and I will earn good and honest money and my customers would get good quality work they don't mind paying for.

Boy oh boy! I was so wrong. I went from one promising site to the next. Every time my hope would flare up - only to be smashed again. They all ask you for money in some way (starter kits, training material, admin, English proficiency exam and so the list goes on - and NO guarantee that you will make money)

With my experience I would tell that affiliate about my search and how I experienced it. I would tell them how I did not trust SFI either at 1st and that I've been here for more than a year and the only "catch" so far is - if you do not have money to invest you have to invest more time and learn to think more "out of the box" and that it will take a little longer for the results to show. I'll challenge them to find those jobs and once they found it to let me know about it too.

Those affiliates only just started looking for opportunities and they will probably not believe you - so let them find out for themselves and once they realize how bad it is out there, and once they burned their fingers with get rich quick promises, they will be back and they will be your best workers.

Most important - be honest at all times. They have to know:

1. You CAN invest money and some time and make it a little easier on yourself.
2. If you can not invest money you need to invest more time and effort.
3. You have to be patient and persistent.
4. You have to soak up knowledge like a sponge and keep on using what SFI offers you.

Apart from giving them the facts there is not much else you can do - they have to believe in SFI before they will get serious about it.
