Your question is about duplication: gaining experience in building a team and a business, and effectively sharing that experience with your PSAs and CAs, so that they can do the same, and continue the process with their own team members.

In other words, to successfully teach your team members how to build their downline, you need to build your own, first. When you build your team, you will have the right answers. You will be ready to provide support and guidance.

You can also, as a beginner, start building your team and associate your downline to your efforts. There are several proven ways to do this, with potentially good results.

1. Set-up an S-Builder Co-op and invite your eligible downline to join. Follow the S-Builder Co-op set-up rules to maximize the benefits of this team building tool.

2. Pool your and your downline resources together to buy PSAs to go and bid on PSA auctions. Use the new re-assignment tools to share these new sign-ups with the team members who participated in this effort.

3. Set-up an advertisement co-op and share the advertising costs with your downline that is willing to participate. The fruits of these advertising efforts should also be shared in proportion to every participant's contributions.

I show appreciation to all my team members. I appreciate them as people who joined SFI seeking to better their situation, taking action to change their conditions, working to make things better for themselves and their families. The welcome letter is the first tool and it is meant to be sent to all new sign-ups to make them feel welcome and appreciated

The most active affiliates will likely emerge as part of our "Movers". We can display that list every day up to 50 affiliates, both PSAs and CSAs alike.If we follow the SFI guidelines and take action, at every opportunity, to recognize the work our movers are doing, we will fulfill the need of showing appreciations to our most active affiliates, without being overbearing or patronizing.

For those among us who have large teams, and whose most active affiliates may be more than the 50 displayed in the "Movers" tab, the genealogy filters offer excellent tools to identify them, and show appreciation for their work and results on a regular basis.

Every milestone an affiliate reaches is an opportunity for the sponsor and the co-sponsor to show appreciation. We have a variety of E-Cards that fit most situations. We should send them our congratulations, when an affiliate wins a prize, especially the Daily Grand, when they qualify as Executive Affiliate, and the various Team Leader ranks.

Going thoroughly through the daily "To-Do-List is for me critical. Beside collecting the Action Verspoints (AVP) and helping me build my VP streak, it sets the launch for more far reaching tasks towards achieving my goals as an SFI affiliate and Team leader.

The "to-do-list" another important advantage: it is a tool that helps us keep ourselves abreast of what is going on with SFI: the news alerts, tips on how to grow our business, new products added to TripleClicks, the featured ECA of the day, how SFI is growing, etc. We can take this information and use it as the basis of our plan for the day (what deals we want to take advantage of, how and where we want to advertise, how to incorporate the tips we learned into our strategies).

Thus, I use the daily To do list as a tool to review what is new within SFI and Tripleclicks and reflects on my findings to so what I could ad to the activities I have planned for the day to grow my SFI.

There are numerous forms of both mental and physical disabilities. There are also various degrees of disabilities as to how serious they are. It is neither important nor necessary to discuss them here, in details. What is more relevant is whether the disability is of such extent that it debilitates the person to the level that he/she will not be able to perform the tasks required to run an online business such as SFI. If the disability is not of that nature, then it is not a hindrance.

There are many SFI affiliates who are disabled and they have been forthcoming about their disabilities here, in both the Forum and in the answers to your question. For instance, some have bipolar disorders. Some are deaf. Other are wheelchair bound, etc. But they are successful SFI business owners. Hence, it clear that this is not an obstacle to running an online business.

As for lack of marketing skills, nobody is born with them. Yes, SFI does require knowledge, skills, leadership and determination, all of which can be acquired.

The Knowledge base SFI has freely made available is comprehensive and extensive to cover all what is needed to execute that tasks that will help an affiliate achieve their goals. It is up to the affiliate to draw from it.

The marketing skills, methods and tools are part of that SFI knowledge base. Some of the most important training modules focus on giving us the opportunity to acquire what we need for advertising, marketing, sales and sponsoring.

Our sponsors, co-sponsors, and other members of our upline are here to help us develop our leadership skills and guide us to focus on the tasks we need to carry out to be successful.

In other words, whether we are disabled or not, when we start, we are all at the same level. All of us, when we join SFI, are lacking some knowledge and some skills to various degrees. This is the reason we have a full month to go through the training and for knowledge, leadership and skills development while being rewarded for it with easy acquisition of the points we need to start on success ladder.

In addition, SFI offers a vast array of support (the Forum, Ask SC, a2a, and technical support) that is akin to helping somebody overcome their lack of marketing skills in a relatively short time.

In summary, a disabled person with lack of marketing skills is not that much different from any other opportunity seeker that joins SFI. As long as they are willing to learn, take time to know how SFI works, seek coaching from their sponsor and co-sponsor, as well as other members of their upline, they have equal opportunities to be successful with SFI.

Like everybody else, the disabled person has to devote both time of resources to their business. If they do so diligently, they will be successful.

An e-Commerce Affiliate (ECA) is basically an entrepreneur who list their business with SFI/Tripleclicks, taking advantage of the wast network of affiliates in the 203 countries where we are represented.

I. What should he do in his first month?
Everything that helps him make sales fast

1. He should first comply with all the SFI requirements for being accepted as an ECA in good standing and excellent rating.
2. He should list as many products and/or services as possible to gain exposure with SFI affiliates as well as outside of SFI
3. He should conduct market research to identify a pricing strategy that will allow him to set profit margins that make his online store profitable, without pricing himself out of the market by being too expensive
4. He should connect with as many affiliates as possible. Such connections will give him exposure within SFI. These affiliates will have a vested interest in promoting his business within and outside
5. He should advertise and market his store with focus on the market niches he has identified to attract the right kind of customers both in terms of tastes and purchasing power.
6. He should have excellent customer service capable of fulfilling the orders he receives, addressing customer inquiries, complaints, returns and refunds.

These are the basic most urgent tasks that will increase his success potential.

II. What should he not do in his first month?
Everything that would make him lose the opportunity of a sale

a. He should avoid anything that is contrary to the six major tasks identified in the first section of does above.

Your question is timely as it gives us a wake up call and helps us realize the impact of words used to attract to SFI prospects and potential affiliates.

There are two ways to answer your question.

(a) give you a list of keywords to avoid. But such a list will never be exhaustive, as there may be others words that may have the same negative effects. Further that list would be too long to be meaningful;

(b)it may be much more effective to identify the major issues that are related to keywords of negative impact. This way, you could avoid any words or expressions that could lead to those issues or associated to them.

There are five major problems to keep in mind:

1. Scams
The internet is replete with all kinds of scams. People are very weary about this. The words you should avoid those that may lead somebody that this is a scams.

2. Unrealistic Promises
There are dreamers out there who think that online business are easy to run and do not require much works. There are no many offers that make unrealistic promises. You do not want to be among those.

Thus, you should avoid any wording that may have connotations to the effect of the two above problems that are plaguing the Home Business online market.

3. Easy Work
You want to attract sign-ups that are motivated and will take this business seriously. Hence you should avoid any expressions that may mislead people to think that they will work on few hours a week.

4. Make Thousands a Month
We cannot make income promises. The size of the commissions we make here will fluctuate from one affiliate to the other, depending on their work ethics, their effectiveness as sponsors, team leaders and the way they operate their Tripleclicks stores.

5. Autopilot.
There already an Ask SC question formulated about putting SFI on autopilot. This requires advanced programming and is also fraught with potentials risks of inefficiencies and security breaches. More importantly, new comers should not be made believe that they can put their SFI Business on autopilot

We all have inactive affiliates. This is an objective observation. It is a reality and part of building an SFI business and an SFI Team. The question has been addressed in many ways in the training, in the Forum and here at Ask SC.

Qualifying affiliates as 'lazy" and "unmotivated" is subjective. It is rather a personal perception if not a mere assumption. It conveys a negative judgment. I would personally dissociate myself from such qualification. I do not see any solid grounds to make such a statement.

Every one of us faces different personal circumstances that affect our activity and our results. We read here and in the forum many stories of affiliates who were not very active when they joined SFI. It took them a while to get involved. But, they have gone to be highly successful. Would have it been right to qualify them as "lazy" and "unmotivated" when they were not active?

Hence, it is much more constructive and positive to address your inquiry as how to deal with inactive affiliates. As mentioned above, we have abundant material, tips and strategies that pertain to this question. They can be summarized in two sentences:

1. Work with the workers

2. Keep the communication lines open to every affiliate even those who are inactive.

If you follow these guidelines, you will use your time wisely, while maintaining some form of a communication with those affiliates you are qualifying as "lazy" and "unmotivated".
