Which ones have you been using?

There basically two things you may want to do, just based on the information you are giving.

1. Fully evaluate your sponsoring, advertising and marketing strategy, plan and tactics

2. Call upon your upline for help and guidance.

A. A Full review of your Approach will be highly beneficial.
There may be many ideas that you have not implemented
There also may be ideas you tried to implemented but did not approach them the best way possible.
There may be idea you have not used at all.

However, it is not easy for anybody else to know what you have been doing and to give you specific actions to improve it.

1. The first test you may want to run is in relations with the sales, marketing, and sponsoring modules outlined by SFI

2. The second test is to seek help from your direct sponsor and co-sponsor. They have access to your VP Ledger and you can share with them the details of your sponsoring and business development efforts.

B. Reach out to your upline
In addition to your Sponsor and Co-sponsor, you have your upline up to those who were with SFI from the start.
Call upon them for inspiration and help.

If you do the above, good idea and actions may come out of your efforts to jump start your business.

This is actually the perfect age to join SFI.

All the objective, subjective and emotional circumstances are present to motivate somebody to join, work diligently and succeed.

At 50 and plus, one is knocking at the door of retirement. One is evaluating their financial circumstances. Worries about Financial security are pressing.

Statistics show that the majority of the world literate population at this age does not have financial stability and the years down the road look bleak. I am using the criterion of literate, because it is a condition to be successful here. One should even qualify it as computer literate of digital literacy: the ability to use internet tools efficiently. Not the very sophisticated ones, but at least the basics.

At this age, there is a pressing need to find additional ways to earn supplemental income.

Understandably, your question is implying that one may feel relatively old to embark on new business ventures. That perception is not fully accurate. On the contrary, with the advent of internet technology and tools, the pressure of starting an online business is much lighter than the obstacles of starting a brick and mortar business.

The second aspect of age is: longevity. Life expectancy has improved significantly. Today, a 50 years old can expect to live another 20 years or more of active life, if his/her life style is healthy enough.

In consideration of such life expectancy, the need of steady, strong residual income is self evident.

Your question is important as it relates to the effectiveness of our communications with our team members.

In view of such an objective: "providing the best support to help our affiliates be successful", the answer is not an "either...or".

Contacting a PSAS through the SFI mailer and/message center should not be exclusive from contacting them through their email. There is a reason we have both.

I have been a team leader from my first month with SFI. From start, I have used both effectively.

First, our Team mail is organized in ways that we have to contact our downline through the Genealogy mailer, at minimum, once a week, (i) to give them support, (ii) to organize contests, announce their results and give rewards, (iii) to make major team announcements and the like.

For such tasks, there is no other communication mechanism more efficient and more time saving than the Genealogy, PSAs, and CSAs mailers.

Second, when I want to give tips to a PSAs, or when one of my dowline win a prize, achieve a significant milestone, I want to congratulate them. I use the eCards. These eCards are excellent for contacting a PSA. The opportunities to do so are numerous. You only need to look at the variety and diversity of the eCards SFI has made available to us. They significantly improve our "One-to-One" communications with a PSA.

Now, when you send an eCard to a PSA and he replies to you from that message, the reply will go to your own email directly. That opens the second communication avenue. If you follow up with it, you will be using their own email to further the communication.

Using a personal email address may also have advantages in specific situations.

For instance, I have affiliates whose primary language is not English. Using an online translator to address them in their own language may be more efficient. Sending that translation from our own email address to theirs is easier, and time saving.

Similarly, when I am answering a PSA technical question or helping them with specific issues related to marketing, sales, or sponsoring, I have to do some preliminary research to ensure that I am providing my PSAs with accurate and up to date information.

Using personal email is also more efficient in such cases.

Finally, with the new "Group Mailing Policy", those among us who have large downlines will have to be inventive in reducing the size of their team mail.

They may want to consider using personal email as a supplement to Team mail.

To conclude, effective communication with our PSAs will require us to use both the SFI mailing system and personal emails. We should not look at these tools as exclusive to one another. On the contrary, they complement each other.

One year with SFI is relatively short. SFI has a nearly 16 years of continued success.

One year with SFI is also relatively long. Gery told us a while ago that SFI as a business was profitable within its first year of incorporation.

There are many affiliates who have reached Platinum team leader (PTL) within a year and are earning sizable commissions.

I, personally, will have 8 (eight) months with SFI on August 10th.
I have a clear vision of what I need and will be doing to reach and maintain Platinum Team Leader (PTL) before my first anniversary date.

What should you and can you do.

1. Get the conviction that success is yours for the taking, if you are willing to work for it.

2. Set a clear strategy, a sound plan and daily actions that match both the plan and the strategy

3. Invest in your SFI business development plan both in time and financial resources

4. Target as many SFI income streams as you want to handle: the more the better

5. Reach out to your sponsor, your co-sponsor and your upline, especially those senior affiliates who have been with SFI from the beginning.

Know that they value the fact that you are seeking help from them. Your success is their success as well.

2. Helping my Team Grow their Business
I know that to reach my goal, building my team is essential.
Hence, I focus on my active PSAs and CSAs to help them build their own teams

3. Seeing the results of my efforts through my badges and my monthly income
SFI gives us a measure of our daily success in many different ways:

(a) The score of our VP ledger, our badges, winning the Daily Grand, all these are as a result of our daily actions
Your affiliates needs to understand that what they do on a daily basis is rewarded the same way: on a daily basis

On the one hand, there is no age requirement for Entrepreneur spirit.
On the other, not everybody is an entrepreneur.
Similarly, not everybody who joins SFI will be successful. There are challenges and constraints facing any home based business entrepreneur especially the young people who want to launch themselves in this field. School and entrepreneurship may pose of time conflict.

Most will be successful, if they work hard and keep steadfast at it. This is the summary of the answer to your question. These three aspects of success and lack of thereof are discussed below.

A. SFI is a Business Training Ground for Student Young Entrepreneurs
For those who want to learn entrepreneurship, SFI is a great opportunity for the young.
Many successful business people started very early, some of them in their teens
1. Before the age of the personal computers, young people started by delivering newspapers, young girls put up lemonade stands at street corners, girl scouts sold cookies, door-to-door.
Studies done in the field of business leadership show clear evidence of the dynamism of entrepreneurs, as young as 14 or 16, and the success they achieved. Some are millionaire before they reach the age of majority, or soon after.
Today, many High School students have developed and releasing Smart Phone Apps.
Among the Forbes’ list of billionaires are some started while in college. They were just little older than 18. The most preeminent are college drop out.
Microsoft, Dell and Facebook are cases in point.
These companies are among the initiators of (i) the high tech revolution that made the business world today, (ii) the widespread of information technology as a business tool, (ii) le development of social media as a sales and marketing instruments.
2. Young Student Entrepreneurs are well positioned today
SFI as a training ground on business management, can be compared to a technical community college where young adults learn practical skills in management,.
a. Leadership skills:
This is the most critical skill skills in business. Very few opportunities offer the potential for developing leadership skills as does SFI
b. Time Management:
At the age of 18, unless they drop out, young people are attending school, some finishing high school, some already in college. They are faced with great time pressure, dealing with many demands. This is the age where leaning to use time efficiently is of fundamental importance. SFI will help them learn that.
c. Technical Business Management Skills:
Advertising, sales, sponsoring, marketing, webpages, blogging, using social media effectively and responsibly are all necessary skills for success with SFI. When young people learn it early, they are well positioned to reach great achievements in their lives.
Here also, besides the highly expensive business schools and their admission criteria, very few opportunities offer young people this ability.

3. Challenges and Constraints Facing Young Entrepreneurs.
The most critical challenge is lack of maturity and ability to focus on goals. There are many distractions and obstacles to success: lack of focus is one of them that may distract young people.
Secondly, as mentioned above are issues of time management and competing demands from school work, social life and entrepreneur requirements. These constraints may lead young entrepreneurs to drop out of school as mentioned above.
Thirdly, the lack of sense of urgency: many young people have the tendency to think they have all the time they need, and nothing is really urgent, beside instant gratification in social life and the opposite sex.
If young people overcome these challenges, constraints and obstacles, they will do very well with SFI.
