Skills can be learned--indeed, SFI has great Internet Income lessons that will help anyone build a successful business here. There's very little that actually needs to be done here--if you can use a keyboard and mouse, you can do everything you need to do to build a downline. If you can share a link, you can make sales (and thus commissions).

Well, the absolute best way to get VersaPoints is through the "Leadership and Support" actions listed on your "To-Do List" because those can add up so very quickly, but it does require you to have an active downline, which, depending on where you currently are in your development with SFI, can be difficult. Promoting TripleClicks and bringing new ECAs on board also nets you big points and will also bring your commissions as they start to sell their products, so that's also good.

Now, if you're early on in your experience with SFI, I would suggest trying out the TripleClicks Gift Cards because they may result in your first customers, and they're also worth a total of 400 VP between purchase and distribution--they also put you into drawings for additional VP and additional gift cards.

Beyond that, continue with your daily, weekly, and monthly actions; those are free points and easy to get. "Free" is a pretty good price, in my book!

If one of your affiliates is advancing faster than you, it is entirely possible that he or she merely has a larger network to draw on or has enough resources to build one quickly. You may still know something that can help him or her build strategy... and perhaps you can learn from that person and what he or she is doing. It's definitely worth keeping in contact with affiliates like these because they will be a source for your own success. This is especially true if you are maintaining Team Leader status because you need your affiliates to rate you well.

I don't know *how* common a mistake it is, but there is a temptation to throw money at every possible opportunity to get Sales VP (through standing orders and such) and Action VP (by spending TCredits on every game, auction, or listing), whether or not the household budget will allow. Now, don't get me wrong: there are some logical options where spending money makes sense, from a standing order on TCredits (particularly during months where you're vacationing and can't do as much with Action VP) to judicious use of TCredits to get in on Pricebender auctions during low peak usage times.

A person who spends more money than he or she has will ultimately not be able to sustain his or her efforts, and discouragement quickly follows. A good, solid budget can work wonders; I definitely suggest saving a part of that budget to check out other SFI members' stores and experimenting with new SFI products. A new discovery can really help with a network.

Probably one of the most effective ways to spend money here is listing products of one's own. Twenty-nine cents on a TCredit to sell off merchandise pays *you*. Doubly so if you referred the buyer. The best way to use your money is to make it earn you money, and this is one of the best ways to do so here.

Recruiting new affiliates via social media poses certain challenges in that, for the most part, you're generally targetting friends and relatives during leisure time. Your better options are to search interest groups, talk about what you're doing, and getting people interested. From there, the rest is going to depend on particular sites; most have ways to search on "likes," interests, and various other related information.

From there, you're going to elicit members' values: what they want, what they like, and what they're willing to do to get either of the first two. Some won't be ready to be affiliates. Focus on those who are. Make it clear that SFI takes months, if not years, to produce sustainable success, but once you have that success, you retain it month after month. A lot of people come in here thinking that by the end of the first month, think they're headed directly toward a Six Figure Income, and that's unreasonable. Paint realistic goals, and those that do sign up will be much more likely to stick it out.

At its basic level, WAVE3 is a branding exercise for TripleClicks, which means that it can promotes the website, and with the type of rewards it offers, its primary benefits are those that reward those who already shop there. That, in turn, means that the best people to recruit for WAVE3 are going to be TripleClicks customers--people who already buy from you or your ECA store. When you sell an item, include an X-Card in with the purchase. If they're delighted with their experience, your customers will be more likely to want a TripleClicks decal on their cars than someone who is a total stranger.

If you have five people so clearly succeeding on THE PLAN that you can be assured that they'll be Platinum Team Leaders, congratulations! That one aspect of your training is done. However, life continues to throw "curve balls," and so yes, there is a benefit in bringing in more affiliates, and not only bringing in affiliates, but also promoting TripleClicks itself.

After all, THE PLAN really only governs the creation of your sales and promotion network, and if your network is only really focused on recruiting and creating standing orders for their 1500VP bonus, that neglects all the great ECA Stores who need your help in building their businesses.

Second, THE PLAN, each person recruiting 5 PSAs and duplicating their skills is unsustainable. Consider that assuming you reach PTL and earn matching VP 12 level deep--assume you've duplicated *perfectly* with THE PLAN and so have each of your downline:

However, the important thing is this: If you concentrate on going *wider*--that is, concentrating on promoting the ECAs instead of just living off your PSAs' commissions and VP--you bring in more shoppers without having to worry about the problems of geometric progression. You also avoid attrition caused by day-to-day lives of your PSAs taking them away and forcing them to be inactive. Most importantly, effective promotion of TripleClicks and its ECAs brings you DIRECT COMMISSIONS with every sale and every customer who shops here regularly.

Sure, definitely recruit as many PSAs as you can, but encourage them to promote the ECA stores on TripleClicks as much as anything else--that's what's going to build a sustainable living in the end.

I don't think it's as cut-and-dried as that. I have some friends who are too averse to this type of opportunity--affiliate marketing is just not for them--and I could talk to them for weeks at a time until the point where they refuse to talk to me! Some of them, however, find this an interesting side-opportunity. The same is true among strangers.

Really, there is a trade-off here, and you have to decide what feels right when you think about it: With friends, you know more about their interests and motivations, and so you can target your approach to them, one at a time, but there's also some risk that a friend will be put off by being "sold to." With strangers, there's much less fear of rejection, but there's also more work to be done in getting someone interested. I find myself more comfortable in working with strangers, but I also know that some of my friends will be more receptive. You really have to consider what feels right to you.

You benefit from the efforts of your PSAs in the following ways:

1) You collect commissions based on the purchases of your own PSAs (45% of the CV of any item purchased).
2) If you're a Team Leader, you also get matching VersaPoints, which increase your share of the Executive Pool, which is, effectively, also some more money--with these you benefit from six to up to twelve levels deep of PSAs!
3) Supporting active PSAs also nets you some points, too, which also boost your VP totals, which can also improve your share of the Executive Pool.
4) If your PSAs are willing to support your TripleClicks store, they can help you sell your products, too, so you can make money that way, as well.
5) Also, more on the cost-sharing side than on income, they can help fund an advertising co-op with you, which can benefit all of you when it comes to finding more PSAs.

Of course, it's only when they're active that you really benefit, so that's your real goal.
