The best answers for ASK SC questions provide new information or NEW INSIGHT to succeeding with SFI. Naturally, following the guidelines listed below, making sure everything has proper spelling and grammar, and following composition rules are all very important, but it's even more important to make sure you COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY.
Effective communication provides information or ideas in a way that attracts a reader to learn more, and every statement follows into the next. To help that, transitional phrases can help connect your thoughts and ideas from one sentence to the next, and because you are, ideally, teaching fellow affiliates, getting ideas across to them is key. Because you're teaching people, you're answering your questions helpfully, so that when they see, "Was this answer helpful to you?" they will VOTE YES.

How much time a day, approximately, do I need to invest in SFI to build a profitable business?

At an absolute minimum, it takes me roughly two hours each day to take care of my To-Do list and basic promotion. However, if I *only* spent that minimum each day, I'd take much, much longer to see success than if I spent eight hours each day, because the more productive time you put into any business in a day, the faster you can build your business overall. Think of it like a bricklayer creating a wall. He or she can place one brick a day, lay bricks for four hours a day, or work a sixteen hour workday. Regardless of how much he or she does, that wall will eventually get built, but it's pretty clear that the guy who works the sixteen hour day is going to get done first.
My "typical SFI day" consists of a couple of hours after rollover to do my "To Do" list, play the Time Machine game, and then check what's going on with the places I'm using to advertise. I then go to sleep because it's far too early in the morning, and when I wake up, I do my share of social networking, distributing fliers, and so on. What--and how much--I do on a given day will depend on how many other urgent tasks need to get done, but generally, I'm doing it while going about my daily business anyway, so it barely feels like work. It's up to you to find your own rhythm.

How do you install an SFI or TripleClicks banner on your blog?

This is going to vary a little, depending on what sort of blog system you're using or the hosting you have, but regardless of how you do it, it's the same basic idea: You host a graphic (or point to where it's hosted), and you attach it to a link.
* In the case of the Marketing Tools banners that SFI hosts for you, they will supply you the images and links--you can even copy it directly into the HTML within your blog. For example, this is the Card King banner (your affiliate number replaces the "xxxxxxxx"):
<a href='http://www.tripleclicks.com/xxxxxxxx/games/CardKing.php'><img src='http://static.sfimg.com/SFIBanners/banner461.png' border='0'></a>
The "img src" information holds the image location itself, and the "href" information points to your gateway link for Card King.
* Most blogs also have a "media center" for hosting your graphics or video more directly, and it's also possible to save banner graphics that way. When you make your blog post, you then just select your graphic, add it to your post, and then link to the gateway of your choice.
* In less-structured blog software, you may have to host the graphic more directly, saving it into your hosting account. Say you're working off "bootmookus.com" (I checked--they don't exist), and you've got a personally-made and approved SFI banner you call "bannner1.jpg". You'd upload it to your hosting account, and it would work much like the gateway banner above:
<a href='http://www.tripleclicks.com/xxxxxxxx/whatever-the-gateway-is'><img src='http://bootmookus.com/banner1.jpg' border='0'></a>
I could go into more detail on specific cases, but that could take all day! Have fun!

How can you determine what TripleClicks product(s) a person might be interested in?

If you're going to sell to an audience, whether it's a close friend or by placing an ad on a website, the key to making a sale is to know that audience. For example, if I have friends who enjoy cooking, or if I'm advertising with someone who has a cooking blog, I might direct those people to one of the people selling food or drink, promote products like PURJAVA to them, and so on. Target interests you know these people have, and you will succeed.
How do you identify in your affiliates the skills that could help them become stars in SFI?

There are two main ways to identify skills that your affiliate has:
1) Read your affiliate's profile. It will contain information of what he or she currently knows about network and affiliate marketing.
2) Talk or write to your affiliate. Not only does this help you learn more about his or her other knowledges, abilities, talents, and skills, but it also builds the bonds you will need in order to train him or her.
It's really that simple.
I've been in SFI for one year now with no success. What should I do now?

I looked at your TripleClicks store, and you're stocked--good going there--many affiliates forget to do this and thus miss out on potential income. However, having a store is not enough; much like SFI itself, your store needs to be promoted and get enough traffic to bring customers in. Are you advertising your store? Are you contacting your TConnect connections? What are you doing to bring in active affiliates? I don't know what you've been doing for the last year, so I'm sort of limited in what I can provide for advice.
Given that, I can only suggest that you change the methods you use to build your affiliate network and your customer base. If you've got a failing sponsor, talk with your sponsor's upline for advice. If all those people aren't talking, talk to your a2a friends. Most of us have *something* to offer, and I know I'd be happy to do what I can to help. First, though, I need to know the whole story.

Which marketing methods should we be recommending to our new PSAs?
, Aff ()

Affiliate since: 12/31/1969, Power Rank: 99999999
I'm going to give you the "stupid answer" first, just to get it out of the way, and because there's some inherent truth in it that's actually worth expounding upon (please keep reading, even if there is an impulse to be 'fed up' by its glibness):
You should be recommending the successful marketing methods to your new PSAs.
Now, I mean that in two ways: First, from the standpoint of duplication, you need to teach them everything you know so that they can succeed as you do. That means you need to teach them the very same marketing methods you use and, most importantly, show them how to use them as effectively as you do. Second, consider how you got the very PSAs you're teaching. If you just bought them or attracted them with ads, you're going to have to get to know them well enough to know what they are like, and what will make them successful. On the other hand, if you've *recruited* them, you'll have a much better idea of the people you're teaching, and you might suggest techniques that might not even be successful for you, but that call directly to their strengths.
Now, if, on the other hand, you're really asking, "Which marketing methods should I use?" then I'm sure your sponsor and co-sponsor can make suggestions. In fact, according to the way duplication is supposed to work, they should have plenty to teach you... or they're not "awesome sponsors."

How do I get new, anxious-to-earn-NOW affiliates to understand that it takes time to develop a successful business?

If you have new and eager affiliates who are impatient to learn break all the major tasks down into all their component parts; if you can get them all to put out fliers, join Wave3, have them distribute all the necessary X-Cards and Gift Cards, set up all their advertising on-line, blog to attract more affiliates, and so on. Have them each buy a few thousand PSAs To Go. Of course, I'm being a little bit facetious about this, but it is possible to build a great deal quickly. Push them to read all the internet income lessons, learn everything they can about traffic, conversions, and so forth. Have them set up their TripleClicks stores. If they're successful, fantastic. If not, tell them they need to analyze what they're doing and fix it. Of course, I'm being a little facetious here, but the point is simple: they have to learn to pace themselves.
If I had an affiliate like that, and I lived near him or her, we'd go fishing so that the affiliate would learn that you can have the bait in the water for a long time before anyone may take it, and that patience is the watchword of the day... and of SFI. Over the internet, it can be much tougher.

Which is better and why...to contact my PSAs through SFI (e.g. PSA Mailer) or directly via their email address?

I tend to use a combination of both methods--direct e-mail and PSA Mailer (or, more often, the Genealogy tool)--depending on what my goals are. If I'm looking to broadcast a message to everyone under me simultaneously, like announcing a contest or an incentive, that will go out via the PSA mailer (or Genealogy tool) because I want them knowing that I'm contacting everyone at the same time. Direct content via e-mail is all about more personalized communication, and when I reach out that way, it's for a more tailored, individual reason, like when someone needs direct guidance.

What are some good incentive offers for prospects to encourage people to join my SFI team?
, Aff ()

To answer your question, I would have to know how you're attracting your prospects, and what your prospects' needs are. I've designed business cards and ads for affiliates, and that was fairly effective; affiliates I can meet in the Real World, I can buy dinner and discuss strategy; a few have enjoyed some additional "life-coaching" sessions that I do. I tend to engage in my team's overall success, not focusing merely on SFI but on their general success and happiness. When people realize that you're willing to go to lengths for them, it frequently results in them going to lengths for you.
What do you have that you can offer, and how can you make your prospects happy?
