Which is most effective for advertising SFI...a regular hosted website or a blog about SFI?

Questions like these tend to be too broad because there's so much that depends on the quality level of a hosted website or blog. In order for advertising to be effective, it requires a certain level of responsiveness and engagement from the audience, and that relates not only to your advertising, not only the website's/blog's design, not only the *content* on the site, but also to the source of that traffic. If you've got millions of people coming to either, and it's all coming from people paid to click ads on websites where they can't read the language, you have nothing of value.
Now imagine a website that directly engages the readers and gets response--it doesn't matter if it's a blog or a business, and visitors are in the habit of responding, are in the habit of being curious, and you have a great place to advertise. Finding that effectiveness can be hard to gauge, but there are plenty of analytical tools out there, from Google's own tools to Alexa's reverse searches to asking friends to look. Sadly, there's no simple binary choice here. It merely requires you to do the work.

What are the best ways to use the MY MOVERS tab to maximize your SFI business?

I find that the "My Movers" tab is of value from an informational standpoint, although if you see one that is approaching the threshold of a goal (like approaching the 1500VP necessary to become an Executive Associate), you can send an immediate e-mail to that affiliate with encouragement and even incentives. Similarly, you can ask a "Mover" with an excessively low VP count (I do see the occasional PSA or CSA with less than 10 VP) about his or her experiences and help them move further toward their goals. It's excellent for that sort of fast feedback to individuals.

Is it wise to 'bribe' your downline with Gift Certificates, TCredits or other incentives? Or does this practice come back and bite you?

Well, there's a big difference between a "bribe" and an "incentive." A "bribe" would be asking them to do things they don't want to do for whatever reason, while an "incentive" rewards them for actions they might have taken anyway. As a sponsor, if I've got a big downline, in between talking with those that are already making the effort, giving everyone a chance to feel like their efforts are paying off only makes some sense. On the other hand, if you're giving away 10 TCredits a day to each and every affiliate that logs in and clears his or her tabs, that's a bad practice!
On the other hand, you can do plenty that allows affiliates know you care, both by talking to them and by pointing them to useful tools. This costs you nothing and can result in successful affiliates, which make you a successful sponsor. These are still "incentives," and they're definitely worth giving.

What do you do on a daily basis to promote your SFI business?

On a typical day, I frequently find myself concentrating more on showing people stuff they'll like on TripleClicks, since that provides quick commission and immediate reward. Besides, it's not *every* day that I find someone with the right mindset and drive to do well with SFI itself. That's not to say that I *don't* recruit, mind you, but this tends to be more of a weekly activity for me than a daily one.
Much of what I do, I do on social sites, pointing out places I like to shop or products I like to use. I also do this in person at local events and so forth, whenever something pertinent comes up. For example, when I talk about my diet, it's hard NOT to mention the Supreme Whey Protein I get as part of my Standing Order because it's been such a positive boon to achieving my weight goals. It's amazing how much you can find on TripleClicks that you naturally want to share with people, which makes the process very easy.

How can I convince new affiliates of the importance of logging in at the Affiliate Center every day?

The benefits of daily logging are fairly straightforward:
1) Daily logging by itself (not including weekly actions or other regular actions) can earn up to eleven points a day, adding up to 330 FREE points in your average month, leaving only 1170 to reach Executive Assistant.
2) New news on the Alerts page can point to new opportunities.
3) Daily work on the "To Do List" will also get you in the Daily Grand drawing, as well. Admittedly, most of the prizes are miniscule, but even they add up.
Keep in mind that convincing them requires you to get their attentions and make them listen. This can be the hardest factor of all. If you can, get them into some sort of instant messenger or onto a webcam, so you can convince them more directly. How you manage this is up to your connections with your affiliates.

How many affiliates do I need to sponsor each month to build a successful business?

How do you define "a successful business?" The answer to that question will determine how many active affiliates you need to sponsor every month in order to build a successful business.
Let's suppose your answer to that question is, "My business is successful when there at least as much money coming in as is going out." Let's further assume, for the sake of calculation, that you spend $50 a month building your team and maintaining your ranking as an SFI Executive Affiliate. You would need to earn $50 in commissions and executive bonuses from your affiliates' and referred TripleClicks members to be a success. Based on what I'm seeing so far, your average *active* PSA will earn you roughly $5 a month in terms of commissions and bonus pool. That would mean that ten PSAs would earn you enough income to maintain your processes in SFI to the point where you're "successful" by that simple standard.
Keep in mind, this calculation relies entirely on PSAs, with no contributions from active CSAs or other customers. It also relies on *activity*--a PSA who does nothing generates no income for you.

How do you convince someone that they can earn a substantial income with SFI?

There are only two real ways to convince someone that they can earn a substantial income with SFI:
1) Show them the numbers--show them how selling at TripleClicks works, show them how supporting friends' stores earns you commissions, show them how the bonus pool works, and then talk with them about exponential earnings that come with the development of an active affiliate network. The math is easy to follow.
or
2) Show them your success numbers. Those are completely indisputable. I can't show much myself, yet, these being my first months, but I can still show the two dollars or so at a time that I make myself, as well as the sales and commissions from Tripleclicks, but that, too, is beyond dispute.
After that, it's all up to them if they have the willpower to make it all happen.

Why should I remain focused on my SFI business when there are other companies offering me allegedly similar opportunities?

Honestly, the reason to focus on SFI as a business is its staying power. How many of the other opportunities are, for example, registered with the Better Business Bureau? How many of them have been around as long, have as many stable product lines, or as many other options to succeed?
Certainly, anything is worth investigating (as long as you can investigate it for FREE, as you can do with SFI and TripleClicks), but as far as I have found so far, there are so many layers of opportunity here for both me and those friends who show interest, I'm going to be staying. I hope you do, too.

What long-term goal(s) should an affiliate be setting for themselves?

First of all, are you talking about "Goals" as in the "Goals" tab? If so, consider what type of person you are. Do you get motivated by hard-to-achieve goals, or do those stress you out and make them unachievable? Personally, I set mine rather low because I'm prepared for "the marathon" of months and years to build my network, and that lets me work stress-free. I'm sure there are folks out there who think that's crazy.
Outside of the tab we visit every day, goals are very subjective. I find my goals driven toward those aspects of my life that I find enjoyable--like writing. That's why I love writing new "Ask SC" answers when they pop up. I love improving my skills, whether it's through the Internet Income lessons or networking with a2a friends or testing out what I've learned when I visit art galleries or other places I can socially network. What drives you? That will make your goals more fulfilling when you achieve them.

What is SFI's most important tool to use for building a successful business?

The most important tool to use for building a successful SFI business is the gateway link because it provides us with an easy URL with which to sign up a new affiliate or to shop on TripleClicks. Believe it or not, there are some affiliate processes out there that other companies have, where a user might have to deliberately put in your name as a referral in order for you to get credit--sometimes that spot on the form is even *optional*, which means that someone who find their way to signing up or buying might not even result in credit for you. Because this is your primary mode for earning, this has got to be your most important tool.
