How do you explain to potential ECA prospects what the E-Commerce Associate program is all about?

I tell them that the ECA program is for those who have new or used products for sale, and that they have the potential of over a million affiliates working to help them boost their bottom line.
I also tell them they can also sell other people's products and that every product on TripleClicks carries a link they can use. All they have to do is login and open the product page and click on SFI affiliates to get their unique link.
I encourage them to use the ECA program for any type of product or service they can sell offline, especially the ones that didn't sell under "normal" circumstances and that they can buy wholesale products online and sell them retail, which is always a plus.
Last but not least, I tell them that they never pay a fee until after the sale is made, so they won't be wasting money on products that don't sell.
So no matter what methods they use for selling their products it's a win win situation for everyone.

How can we get across to our affiliates that investing minor (at least) amounts of money into SFI is smart?

I tell my team mates that this is their business. And most businesses require either a lot of work, or a a lot of money. But with SFI's business model you can stay free and work hard or invest and work smart. And it doesn't have to be a lot of money. Most startups cost you thousands, like a McDonald's franchise for instance. But with SFI you can start earning very quickly for free in your first month, then it gets a little harder your second, and you'll need to either refer a lot of people or invest a little bit of money.
Even just starting out with Wave 3 will help. And that's only free and you just pay $1.95 for shipping! Then you can take some of the tcredits you get and list products you have for sale and make a small fortune! That's how I started out and I entered an aucion with my five free tcredits and won a 300 pack of tcredits! So you really can start making money right away with a little hard work and a little investment. The sky ...I started to say the sky is the limit, but there really is NO LIMIT.

How can I get my affiliates active with TripleClicks?

Good question.
Tell them that TripleClicks is their store. Every link to products, whether ECA products or SFI products, is embedded with their link as long as they're logged in. Show them how to find this out. All they have to do is login then go to any product or service and right click the link and copy. If they open up notepad they'll be able to paste it in and see their id number in the link.
Also when they buy from their own store, they earn a commission and that doesn't happen anywhere else but TripleClicks. You don't get paid for buying from yourself on Amazon or Ebay, or Walmart.com do you?
We have a wonderful chance to do much more here than with any other affiliate program. And the Pricebender's auctions are another awesome part of this great company. For every auction bid you receive not only Versa Points, but you get MRP too. And these really add up if you're a heavy bidder. I just bought a brand new smart phone with mine.
So add up all these benefits and even if it seems you're not making a lot of money, the value of all these things is amazing!

Recruiting PSAs or ECAs--which will generate the quickest income?
, Aff ()

First of all, I don't care too much for the word "recruiting". And neither one is going to give you quick income. If you sponsor people, whether an ECA or PSA, and teach them to duplicate your efforts, you will grow an income over the long haul that will make your future better than today. But let's drop this notion of quick, fast, or instant money.
SFI is all about longevity, and earning income through leverage. Leverage means that you will be helping others to grow their income, which in turn will help you to grow yours.
Just recruiting people isn't going to do a lot for you. But sponsoring, and being there for the people you invite to join, will help you over the long term. People who are looking to make a lot of money in a short amount of time are probably going to be dissappointed, because they expect instant gratification. These are the same people who go around looking for get rich schemes and wind up losing their shirts when these programs run into problems.
Before you start a job, you need training. And you have to show up every day. And I don't know of any job where you get paid before you work, do you? The only place I know of where earning comes before work is the dictionary.
But once you get some training under your belt and learn what SFI is all about, you'll be more able to teach others and that's what will earn the income for you. A little at first, then if you persistently and patiently work while helping those you sponsor to do the same, your income will grow. It will be a gradual process, but you must look to the future, the long haul. Think of where you want to be in five or ten years. Give yourself time, and do your diligence.
Don't be in too big of a hurry.

For me it was when I finally decided to start setting up a 1500 VP standing order at the beginning of every month. Once I did that I was able to focus on sponsoring new affiliates and less on frantically trying to earn VP.
My second month after setting up my 1500 VP SO, I became a Bronze Team Leader and have been one ever since. And now I get a $10 bonus every month on top of all the other Team Leader benefits.
So I would tell anyone who is skeptical about setting up a Standing Order to just do it. It's worth every penny.

How do you get your affiliates engaged and conversing regularly with you?

Affiliate since: 12/31/1969, Power Rank: 99999999
The golden rule applies here as it does in most things.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
If you want people to engage and converse with you, then do it with them first.
Ask them how they're doing and if they need help. They may try to go it alone for a while, thinking that they don't need any help, or maybe they just don't want to bother
you, but if you keep sending them messages and reminding them that helping them helps you too, they may begin to send you e-mails. When they do, answer as soon as you possibly can and give them the help they need or direct them to the pages they're looking for.
Sometimes they don't know what to do or may not even know how to copy and paste. Don't assume that they know what to do once they get to these pages. So send them where they can get the most viable information on the topics they need help with. If there's a forum post, send them the link. If there's something in Ask Gery, send them there. And if you know how to do something and can show them how to do it, then send them the instructions.
Two of my affiliates were just going on facebook and just pasting the links. They didn't know how to advertise. I simply sent them some instructions with a link on where to find the text ads and how to find safelists and traffic exchanges to use them with.
You may wish to go to your geneology manager and filter the people who have less than 1500 VP for the month and send them an e-mail linking to the forum post on how to make EA. Offer your help first and you'll be surprised how many will come to you, even when they're not in your downline, A2A members as well, it shouldn't matter. The more you help, the more the universe helps you.

What are some methods to attract ECAs in areas where many do not yet trust online businesses?

You will find people that don't trust online business no matter where you live.
If you get wave 3, you'll have several offline marketing methods that work to attract these types of people. Just hand them a business card. Or pass out flyers or put the bumper sticker on your car. There are so many ways that you can use the business tools that SFI already has in place. The telephone works as well. And there are even some phone scripts you can use.
The best thing I've found is just to go to a small mom and pop thrift store and ask the manager if they have a website. If the answer is no, ask if they would like one where they control what gets sold where they can sell off some of the items that aren't selling in the shop. Most will jump at the chance to do this, especially if you tell them that they only pay a small fee AFTER the sale.
Make sure you give them an ECA flyer or a link to your ECA gateway.
Call them up about a week later and see if they've had a chance to visit. Let them know you didn't forget about them and you're truly interested in helping them succeed.
If possible visit them again and bring a printout of an ECA page you like so they can see the site.
This should get them excited enough to sign up.

What type of news should ECAs post on their ECA TConnect Page? And who gets to see the news posted?
, Aff ()

Affiliate since: 12/31/1969, Power Rank: 99999999
As an ECA, you should post when someone adds you as a contact and welcome them to your store, also when you add a new product or service. If someone makes a purchase you should also post a public thank you.
If you post your news in the stream, you can set it where your A2A friends as well as those in your downline will see it. If you post it on your store page, anyone can see it. So the best bet for you is to promote your page heavily.
How do you explain to prospects what SFI is about in a simple way?

I tell them SFI is a community of like-minded people who
help each other, even if they're not in our downlines.
Also that it's been online since the internet's early days
and has continuously gotten better.
I also stress to them that SFI is not a get rich scheme, but
it gives you hundreds of ways to earn from home and can really
turn your life around for the better if you apply yourself and
do the daily tasks that are laid out for you.
It's also good to tell them that they can work at their own pace
and either do the fast track or the basic training, and either one
will put them on the true path to wealth as long as they follow the
rules to success. If they still want to know more after this, I tell
them they will need to sign up and take a tour and if they still have
questions, I will support them all the way, whether or not they decide
to stay with the program.
