"What is the biggest mistake to avoid when advertising?"

I just googled "advertising mistakes" and found this website: http://www.smalltownmarketing.com/top_ten_advertising_mistakes.html! I think it is a goldmine for any new affiliate to visit. And I had to admit I made and are still making these mistakes.

His number 1 mistake is "Not knowing if your advertising is working" and the answer is KEY CODES! As SFI offers key codes this is definitely one mistake we all can avoid.

His number 2 mistaking is not testing ads. This is one of my mistakes. Bottom line is to run one ad on one site for a week. If no signups or the key code value is zero, move on. This ad won't work. Try another ad for a week. If after a month and 4 or 5 ads with zero results, move on. This site is of no use. If there are some results, tweak the ad and try again. If more results, start advertise that ad elsewhere at several sites. Then after a week or a month, trim off those sites with meagre results. You have found what work for you. Now await the results.

His number 3 mistake is timing. Another of my ongoing mistakes. There are times to advertise and times to wait. If you can find the ideal time to advertise and it is an awkward time for you, scheduling your advertising with an app could be an answer. Invest in one might be a good idea as you can schedule ads every hour and then check the results and then reschedule for the best time slot.

His number 4 mistake is advertising in the wrong place. Would you advertise liquor to a teetotaler or a Muslim or (worse) a rehabilitated alcoholic? No! You won't. But that is a thing we all do. We advertise "Make money" to an audience that are not interested or think we can take them to the gold pot at the end of the rainbow!

And that is the tip of the iceberg...

Go and read that article! Download it and read it again. It opened my eyes. I am changing my advertising for better results today...

Good question as every person has to make up his/her own mind where he/she are heading. The best anyone can do in this regard is to spell out the benefits and then hope and pray it sink in and generate the right reaction.

There are no guarantees in life. The question you must ask you yourself is, "How much do I want to invest in my future?" And this is not just money. The most important investments are TIME and ATTENTION. Even if you invest zero of your own money, you can still reinvest whatever cents and incentives is given to you in commissions until it is big enough to start pay out.

The bottom line is that if you walk the walk, you WILL reap the rewards. It will just take time and patience.

"How can you get your spouse involved in your SFI business?"

Firstly, the SFI rule states that only ONE family member can be a member of SFI (but not necessarily TripleClicks). So, if he/she wants to sell their own stuff or play games or bid on auctions, let them become PRM or ECA at TripleClicks under you Use one of your Share&Win links would make you a Wave-Maker. This could further boost your SFI business if they buy anything at TripleClicks as you would earn the product's VersaPoints. Also, if they win any game, you would win 10% of whatever they won. To get people excited to sell products for you is not easy, but INTERESTS can be a starting point.

For example, say your wife like to make clothes. Why not sell her products as an ECA? Then print flyers with scan codes for her products and more items in the APPAREL department. Now she and the children can distribute these flyers at appropriate sites. The same apply to the interests of other people that you would like to get involved.

If you got a child or friend that are internet savvy, why not create a list of URLs sent thru a shortener like goo.gl for them to promote for you and then give them a cut from their sales?

These are just two of many ways to involve family and friends to help you with your business.

Attributes of a successful team member include the ability to work alone, to take advice and guidance and instructions, and to carry on when others would have given up long ago. They must obviously realize that money trees that grow overnight does not exist and that only in a dictionary does success comes before work.

These elements must therefore be included in all ad campaigns. This way you should be able to attract the right type of person.

Building a team takes time. And money if you want to move faster. Free ad sites always take time to produce results. To go faster you need to go to specialist sites and they are seldom free to use. Further possibilities to consider are PSA-to-go, S-Builder, and other sources from TripleClicks. The more you invest the quicker you can build your team.

So, here is my 2-pence thoughts and actions.

1. I have gone to the products index and got the link for each department.
2. I decided on 14 shop names and 14 departments or combo of departments to promote.
3. I created 14 business pages on Facebook and set them up for business.
4. I created 14 Blogger sales websites for these 14 pages and added them to my Blogger main business site.
5. I created another Blogger site as an SFI blog where I would post weekly updates about SFI.
6. I added these 14 Blogger sites, my SFI blog site and my main site to a rotator at a traffic exchange and allocated credits so it will rotate for me.
7. I advertise these 14 Blogger sites, my SFI blog site and my main site in safelists.


Now I wait and Google will crawl my sites automatically and index them and I can start getting SALES to grow my business exponentially...
