It is important to set goals to achieve success in SFI or pretty much anything..Let's discuss this with a simple example...

Short term goal:
If we run a 100 metre race, we wont run only 50 metre but we run and finish that 100m at any task... So if the goals are set,we dont stop halfway and we reach our target...
Since the target is only 100m ,we dont run more than that..Likewise when you reach your goal,you won't move forward unless you set another goal...
Moreover,in 100m race we run as fast as we can, because its a short distance race... This is the short time goal and anyone can reach it if they are fast....


Long term goal:
If the race is a marathon then the distance is huge..Here speed won't matter only the perseverance and consistency will help in winning..This is compared to achieving the long term goal..If a person speeds up and wastes all energy at the beginning itself,they lose at the end..So, to achieve long term success in SFI, one needs to be consistent and wait till they learn everything about it and then they can pick up their pace and win at te end..

First of all a splash page is nothing but a page that is seen by the users before they actually see the main content of the website..Usually splash page is used to instruct the user what kind of flash player or browser they need , to read the rest of the content of the website...That is its like a door to your website...It is also used to encourage the users and create an urge to see the rest of the content of the website..In short, the splash page makes the first impression of your website.. "First impression is the best impression", we all know that.. So the better the splash page ,the better the traffic to your website...

Also i would like to warn you that splash pages can be annoying, and often not needed. Think about why you want it. Is it because everyone else's site has one, and you think it looks cool? If so then don't get one. Is it because you need to give visitors important information? Then it is best for you to add it. Remember, splash pages slows down the user, and it can create a negative effect to have one when it's not needed.

Now i would like to explain, how to design the splash page effectively..

1. If you do not want to spend money for creating a good splash page, then keep it real simple with some attractive photos(relevant to the content) and the links to see the rest of the content of your website..When the users click the links they can explore your website.. Or else you can directly take the users into the content through the splash page by setting up a timer( the timer must be large enough for the users to see it and placed at center of the page)..So the users will be watching the timer and do not care about the rest of the splash page design..

2.If you want to create a good,attractive splash page,the following answer if for you..
Creating an effective splash page needs knowledge of HTML,CSS(cascading style sheet)and some basic Java Script..I am not going to go deep on how to create a splash page because the question is how to effectively design(decorate, though it also means create) it and moreover the creation involves so many html and java codes which are difficult to type here and it will also bore you(big time)...

Splash Designs:
1. First of all give a good header(title) to the page that is relevant to the content..
2. All the details in the page must be relevant to the content and must create an urge to see the rest of the content..
3. Use attractive colors(pleasant colors) and not many dark colors which will irritate the eyes(and eventually your customer)..
4. Use videos(short and relevant because it may waste the user's time) and pleasant music or sounds so as to glue the users to your site..
5. Attractive , good photos have to be included..
6. Links to your other websites can be added which are relevant to the content displayed in the splash page..
7. Gateways can be added for join your team(like in SFI or TC)..
8. Your ECA can be advertised ..

Similarly you can add all the details you want .. But keep it short and simple because the users click the link to your splash page to see the content of that website and not your ad campaign..So the loading time to display your website content must be kept very short otherwise they will move away..

If i had to start over with SFI, having the knowledge and tools i have now that i didn't have before, then the logical answer is i would do all the activities differently..

The only reason a person quits is because he/she doesn't understand SFI clearly..SFI provides all the knowledge and tools needed..If we feel like something is missing we can always contact the support or google the details..If a person quits , then it means that he didnot have proper guidance to help him get all the tools..

So,back to the question.. when i decide to start over,i will

1.join under a great helpful sponsor..
2.Be on fast track and EA soon..
3.Duplicate myself by posting ads and joining more co-ops
4.Start an ECA and make a bundle by selling products..
5.List items as tc member and earn VP for selling..
6.Help all my PSAs,CSAs and a2a friends..
7.Participate more in PTP contest and auction..

In short i would do everything differently..

Too much of anything is good for nothing is the proverb...Always remember that..Weekly once team mail is enough and that's why SFI gives 30VP for once a week team mail..But as there is a lot to learn at the beginning, we can send many team mails which must be short and crispy and this will encourage our team..But once they are stabilized in SFI,there is not much to teach them..So when we keep on sending the messages it will be boring them because there is not much to send them after they are stabilized..

How would you like if you constantly get the same messages like "work hard.. advertise.. sponsor.. duplicate..have an SO ..etc" ...You can re-inforce your point in a different style in your subsequent mails..Its better to mix entertainment with advise to make it enthusiastic to read your mail..

I used to add funny and catchy phrases in my mails to prevent my downline from getting bored..Also i tell my people stories which carry my ideas to them and they get the ideas and also they have fun..So even though i send the same mails they don't think its too much because it will be funny and interesting to read...

First, you must put yourselves in the shoes of your listeners.. If someone comes to explain you about SFI, TripleClicks, Pricebenders, or the ECA program what would you expect from them.. This will give you the answer..

The best pitch to use would be gentle,kind and polite..You won't join them if they were not polite or kind with explaining all your doubts right ?? So you must be polite,kind,gentle,patient and most important is to tolerate their doubts..They will be asking many silly doubts which may irritate you..But you have to do everything to get them in your team..

You must explain the achievements you made here with proof..The pitch of your voice while explaining about your success must be confident and proud so that it must make them think that if they work hard,they too can achieve your status..

If you are confident,bold,polite,kind,patient,tolerant in your pitch , then without a doubt the people will become your downline..All the best..

Its a great tool.. But be sure that your messages reach the target persons.. Sometimes there may be some technical issues or they maybe offline and the messages maynot be delivered.. So always check that..If your messages are delivered ,then its a great communication tool..

The best tip would be to keep the message short and simple..There is a saying "Keep It Simple Sponsor" which is the KISS method..

Communicate with one at a time to avoid sending cross messages..

No cross-solicitation is permitted..

Its best to send important messages via team-mail than at SFIM as we can't be sure if it reaches them..

Offer them help like gift certificates and t-credits ..

You can take a screen shot of all the conversations and can use it for future reference or to encourage other dormant affiliates..

The only logical and possible way is to keep sending them mails because we really can't do anything else.. We can only feed them, its upto them to swallow the food and we can't make them do it...

But what we can do is urge them to be active .. This can be done by the content of the mail you send them.. It should be much enthusiastic and must kindle a fire in them to work..

You can send them your achievements in the past months, link of latest pricebender winners and some inspiring quotes and most importantly, how much you earned.. Its the money that makes almost all people to work..When show them how taste the food is,you don't need to feed them anymore and they will automatically keep swallowing...

This is the best way to encourage the affiliates.I hope this answer helps...
