How do I convince someone to try SFI when they've had bad experiences previously with online businesses?

Speaking as someone who had bad experiences with other online "businesses," I would have to say that the two biggest factors to convince me was (1) the fact that you can sign up FREE and check everything out thoroughly, and (2) the fact that they've been around for a long time and earned a good reputation with the Better Business Bureau. Most of the "programs" and "opportunities" I've seen charge you money before you're through the door, and most of them don't hang around too awful long, either.
I also tell him or her the full truth: that I benefit significantly from his or her affiliate sign-up, much like they'll benefit from the people who they will eventually help find success with SFI. Everyone who signs up and stays active will eventually see the benefits as long as they learn from everything this company has to offer. There's not a heck of a lot of disclosure with the other systems.
If you prefer the funny way to explain things, take him or her out to SouthParkStudios.com on the web and watch the episode with the Underpants Gnomes. Most affiliate systems are a little like their plan:
1) Collect Underpants
2) ------------------
3) Profit!
Step two, nobody seems to know or understand. With SFI and TripleClicks, all the sources of income are clearly described. That's why you can be confident here as opposed to just about anywhere else.

How is building a second income with a company like SFI beneficial to me?

When I look at that question, the first thing I see within it is this:
"How is building a second income beneficial to me?"
If you are building a second income, the income will give you additional security and freedom to act. The other possibility I see is that you're really asking,
"Why choose SFI to build a second income rather than other companies?"
To this, I would ask, "What makes one opportunity more attractive to you than another?" I personally like some of the facts about SFI mentioned in the Launchpad Lessons, particularly their rating with the Better Business Bureau. I feel secure with SFI as a result. Of course, I actually enjoy many aspects of SFI, myself, from their points and ranking structures to the fact that I can sell my own products here. You know what will make the difference for you.

What are the personal characteristics and skills you need to become successful with SFI?

My answer to this one is somewhat "zen" in nature.
Q: What are the personal characteristics and skills you need to become successful with SFI?
A: Whichever ones you have.
What I mean by that is that we all bring our strengths and skills to SFI, and those are the ones that will make us winners. Some people are great teachers, and they're the ones that will write the instructional and motivational pieces that will build strong teams--you'll also likely be able to pick up their instructional materials in their ECA stores. Some people are naturals artists, and they're going to make the eye-catching ads and marketing materials that draw people in. Some people are businessmen, great at managing their wealth and time, and working well to a goal. Anybody can succeed here if they just play to their strengths. Sure, there are certain things that our uplines can teach us about what we *don't* know--that's how we grow as people and master what everyone talks about when they say the word "duplication." At the same time, respecting and honoring our own personal uniqueness will help us reach out to people who *like* that uniqueness, and who would have otherwise missed out on the fun here.
I hope that gives you a better perspective on how you will succeed here. I really look forward to see how you're going to join us all at the top.

What should you say to your PSAs when they say they are going to quit because they are putting out more than they are receiving?

Well, if a PSA says they're going to quit because they are putting out more than they are receiving, turn the question around: "Why are you putting out more than you are receiving?" Knowing that the first few months can result in quite a cost outlay, it's worth directing your PSAs to concentrate on selling items themselves in TripleClicks, and promoting themselves. The point of SFI is building your PSAs' success, first and foremost, and that means making sure they make money instead of spending money they can't afford.

What should I work on to build my SFI business when I can't access the SFI Affiliate Center?

At its most basic, your SFI business focuses on promoting both SFI's and TripleClicks' opportunities, so much of your work will relate to your ability to promote your gateway links on other sites, through other ad sites, through your own blog, through paper, offline-advertising, and more. As important to that is instruction for your affiliates, who, hopefully, you are able to contact directly through e-mail or Yahoo Messenger, or even Skype. There's little reason, even when the Affiliate Center is accessible, to spend more than two hours on the site, but there is plenty to do with your promotions and marketing to keep you busy all day.

I am not very good at talking to people. How can I talk to them about SFI or TripleClicks in a simple and easy way?

It depends on what you mean by "not very good at talking to people." If it's just about talking about SFI or TripleClicks, find something here that you enjoy--it's easy to talk about what's fun for you--and as your face lights up naturally, you will find that as you get excited, they get excited. From there, everything is easy. (For me, the fun part was seeing all the shops from all over the world--I love the variety and the tastes of all the different cultures!)
If it's more serious than that, where you would say that you have some real social anxiety, I would suggest finding the appropriate therapy for you, whether it's motivational or inspirational reading, seeing a therapist, or, what I used when I started working on *myself*, hypnosis. Once you find the right solution for you, you will find that people enjoy engaging with you, and that you enjoy engaging with them, and with every conversation, approaching and talking get easier and easier. If I can get over years' worth of social baggage, anybody can.

What are the best products for a 1500 VP Standing Order to maintain EA status that are also useful for your SFI business?

Probably the easiest "Go To" standing order would be 125 TCredits, but you can do well with a diverse collection of products, including the Gift Cards, S-Builder, PSAs To Go, and more. There are less expensive ways to go, certainly, but the question becomes this: Are you looking for the least way to get to 1500 VP worth of standing order, or are you looking for the best collection of products to build your business?
How do you handle prospects and affiliates who expect to get rich fast?

Now, most of the answers already submitted focus on setting the prospects/affiliates straight, about how getting anywhere here is going to take three to five years, in general, and they're completely right about that. However, there's one key factor they're missing:
There's FUN to be had.
Tell them the focus here isn't the money--that's a marathon, not a sprint--but rather on how every day, they encourage every single member here to play games, try their hands at auctions, and just generally have a good time, either on their own or socializing with others. That's one of the big things drawing me back; without the "fun factor" inherent in SFI and TripleClicks, they'd never have me coming back for more.

In my advertising campaigns, is it better to provide more or less information in my ads and why?

In this case, I have to ask what mode of advertising you are using. If you're using a press release to advertise the opening of your ECA Store or some activity somewhere within it, you definitely want to provide all pertinent information in order to really excite the reader. On the other hand, if you're using a simple text ad or a small graphical ad, you're very limited in terms of how much to tell a reader.
Essentially, your goal with an ad is to target a given reader's curiosity and then send them to a place (in this case, likely one of your gateway links) where they can receive more information in a form that will excite them into the action you desire, whether it's signing up as your PSA, buying one of the digital downloads you're selling, putting together an ECA store, or participating in a PriceBender Auction. As you target that reader, of course, you may know something additional about him or her--for example, if you're posting an ad on a shopping website, you might use a small ad that says "BETTER THAN AMAZON!" or the like (likely with cool, attractive graphics) that sends them right into your TripleClicks gateway.
As you might have gathered by now, most of this will depend on the goals and methods of your campaign, and as you practice setting up a specific type of campaign, the process will get easier and easier. It does, however, take practice... If you want help, consider asking your a2a friends, your sponsor and co-sponsor, or folks on the forums what they think of this idea or that. Most folks will give you a straight answer. I know I would.

What are the easiest ways to become an EA (Executive Affiliate) every month?

The easiest way to maintain EA every month is to set up a TripleClicks Standing Order worth 1500 Sales VersaPoints. Typically, this means a 125-pack of T-Credits, but there are many more ways to come up with that 1500VP Standing Order, depending on what you might want to buy.
Of course, there are more interesting ways to do it, and less expensive ones, but it's up to you. You said "easy."
