You very likely ARE an awesome sponsor to those who blocked your emails. All they did was block your emails, right? They didn't opt out.

You were already a good sponsor to them, initially equipping them with what they needed to know to start making the best of their SFI business. Busy people don't have the time to read what they already know - to read what they already learned from you.

If they haven't actually opted out, you could even be pleased that they blocked your emails. They're carrying on, on their own. You did a good job to teach them how.

If you feel it's urgent that they know something new, do a stream post.

If you can see in their VP Ledgers that they are NOT active, perhaps they plan to be in the future, and until such time that they do become active, they may not want emails reminding them that they're trying to get there. Reading those emails will slow them up from doing whatever else it is they need to get done before they can give their full attention to SFI, like they may want to.

Don't worry about them. They know what they want, even if it isn't (yet) the same thing you want.

Ask questions in your emails. If you get no response, try a few more times, but don't send email after email trying to get those affiliates to be active. Once or twice a week is fine, maybe three times a week. If you were sending emails to me more than that, all the time, and I either didn't yet have the time to fully commit to SFI or I was doing quite okay on my own, I'd probably block your emails too.

Part of being an awesome sponsor could very well include learning to know when to give your affiliates a little space to breathe.

You just keep swimming - I mean bidding - you just keep bidding, until nobody else bids after you.

Why did I use the word "swimming" near the start of the previous sentence instead of the word "bidding"?

Have you seen the animated movie Finding Nemo? An overprotective daddy fish named Marlin goes on a quest to find his abducted son Nemo. Another fish accompanies him - Dory. Dory is a delightful scatter-brain, but makes perfect sense with her chant of "Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming."

Believe that if you just "keep swimming" you will win. If you don't give up, you will find your Nemo.

That all said, however, you don't want to be sidetracked into mini-adventures that distract you from the prize. Swim through open and clear water rather, than through a smack of jellyfish. Look for the clues rather, like Marlin and Dory did on their way to finding Nemo, and make use of those clues to ultimately find what you want. What do you want? You don't want the item that is up for auction to cost less than what you spend to win it.

Simply watch a Micro auction or two, perhaps even three or more, for a while.

Open up the bid logs on several Micro auctions. Watch and take notes. Who usually wins? Somebody who started bidding early, or somebody who started bidding late?

Look at the history of the price of winning bids for that item - an easy way to do this is to visit the Pick the Price game page.

Decide on how many TCredits you want to use. Understand that the Micro auctions are for small amounts of TCredits, PSAs or CSAs. Work out the value of the item compared to the cost of your TCredits you plan to use for bidding. You may of course have earned or won your TCredits so they may have not cost you much or even anything at all.

Then start swimming - er, bidding. And after you start? Find Nemo - just keep swimming.

I feel that one of the most important things about advertising offline - in newspapers or elsewhere - is that the contact details for finding out more or for signing up need to be as simple as possible.

People cannot just click something offline.

For contact details in offline advertising you could provide one or more of the following:

- Your Phone Number
When somebody calls you or sends you a text message, ask for their email address. Get that link that they can click off to them in an email as soon as possible. Consider providing some extra information in the email at the same time.

- Your Email Address
When somebody emails you, get a link and further info off to them as soon as possible.

- Your Website Address
With offline advertising it is very important that this website address be as easy as possible to remember. The easy-to-remember website address should either re-direct to one of your SFI gateways, or should go to your site that is filled with content about SFI and where you have links and banners displayed

Also keep your ad quite short. Intrigue people. Make them want to find out more.

You know how when you're all tucked up in bed, and just about to fall asleep, and then you suddenly remember something you meant to have done, or that you'd like to add to your "to do" list?

Whether that "to do" list is mental or physical, and whether or not you get out from under the covers to go write something down or to go do the thing you meant to do, is not the point.

The point is you remembered just at the moment you were going to fall asleep - because you were relaxed. If just the thought of sleeping refreshed your brain, imagine what actual sleep does.

Get re-energized with SFI for the new year by taking a step back from it for a bit.

Keep a notebook and pen handy if you must, but try to mostly relax.

Do just your Daily Actions at SFI if you must, but try to mostly relax.

Consider not logging in at all at SFI for a few days, and mostly just relax. If you are worried about your VP Streak you can always set your VP Streak Vacation Mode to "on" (click your "My Account" tab and scroll down a bit). This will remove one day of your VP streak each day that you leave the VP Streak Vacation Mode on, but at least you don't break a possibly long streak you've been growing.

And during these times of mostly relaxing, clarity will come to you - just like when you're about to fall asleep and you suddenly remember something - clarity about what to do with your SFI business in the new year.

I've had a few SFI sign-ups from my own website since I joined SFI nearly two months ago.

Below I describe:

A) Why I think I'm getting SFI sign-ups from my website, and B) What I think I should do to increase the amount of SFI sign-ups from my website

A) Why I think I'm getting SFI sign-ups from my website

a) My website is already a little over two years old; it's already aged a bit, has been indexed on Google and on other search engines for a while already, and its traffic - from many different countries - has already grown to a little over 200 unique visitors a day - make sure your website is getting a decent amount of traffic before becoming concerned about how many SFI sign-ups you can get from it - little traffic to your site will result in few SFI sign-ups.

b) I use WordPress as my Content Management System - a popular and powerful CMS, and that seems naturally search engine friendly.

c) While I do write about just about anything on my site, most of my topics are about ways to make money from home, ways to make money online, free ways to earn extra income, self-employment ideas, small business ideas, etc.

d) I make sure each of my blog posts are at least 300 words long, and I use a WordPress SEO plugin to help me with the SEO of each new blog post I write and add to my site.

e) I have SFI ad banners "above the fold" - the banners are easily visible by anybody visiting my site, whether they read the content of my blog posts or not.

B) What I think I should do to increase the amount of SFI sign-ups from my website

a) Increase traffic to my site - this can be done in several different ways, the easiest of which I personally find is to simply write and add more blog posts on a regular basis.

b) Write more posts on work from home ideas etc, so that the traffic this sort of topic brings is more likely to click an ad banner advertising the SFI opportunity.

c) Write more posts about being an affiliate or about selling online (to attract potential SFI affiliates and potential TripleClicks ECAs).

d) Write more posts about SFI - step by step guides, for example - tell people once they've signed up to come back to the blog post and simply follow the steps.

e) Pay greater attention to SEO.

f) Use more calls to action or stronger calls to action - "Don't delay!", "Click now!", "Get started now!", "Get your ticket to a better life, free!"

Summary:
- Increase traffic
- Improve SEO
- Provide easily visible SFI links or banners
- Write on topics that target people who are likely to be interested in SFI
- Increase or improve calls to action
- Provide SFI guidelines or step by step procedures to follow

Try thinking about what it is you'd like to see the affiliates in your own team do. What is it that your affiliates would do to make you sit up and take notice, and that would make you happy to support and reward them?

What is it that you look for when you study the VP Ledger of each of your affiliates?

Then be sure to do those same things to make your own sponsor and upline happy.

It is likely that your affiliates doing some or preferably all of the following things would make you happy:

your affiliates:

- complete all of their getting started actions quite quickly
- do all their LaunchPad lessons - but not just in two or three days
- log in at SFI every day
- do their daily and weekly tasks
- ask you to please give them the link to information they're struggling to find on their own
- ask questions in the forum
- give correct advice in the forum
- score a decent amount of sales VersaPoints
- play Eager Zebra games regularly
- get a decent amount of PSAs on their own
- achieve EA2 rank or higher in their second month
- maintain or improve upon their EA2 or higher rank in their third month
- carry out your instructions or follow the advice you give

Affiliates who do these things make their sponsor happy. Do for your sponsor and upline what you'd like your own affiliates to do for you.

Residual income frees up time - and how precious time is!

It often takes a lot of time and work to get to the point where one can generate a decent residual income, but that reward is so great that everyone should consider the time and work that they have to put in, as really important.

Work That Can Be Done That Will Help Free Up Time Later

Learn SEO. Spend time creating a website or blog that has good on-page SEO. Write and add many unique (appearing nowhere else online) Search Engine Optimized pages of content to the website, on topics related to being an affiliate, working from home, making money online, and extra income opportunities. The site is now set up to receive traffic from natural search results. That's traffic you no longer have to work at to get, other than perhaps writing and adding a new page of Search Engine friendly content once every two weeks or so, to help keep the site "fresh." Place SFI ad banners on every page of the site. The sign-ups that your site generates can be reassigned to the movers in your team.

-- Set-and-Forget Offline Advertising
Get your own unique domain. Choose an as-short-as-possible domain name that you can find still available to register, and get it. Redirect the domain to one of your SFI gateways. Use that domain name on an SFI magnetic car sign. You could also purchase (or win) an SFI Prestige Custom Domain, and put its URL on the magnetic car sign. The sign-ups that the sign on your car generates can be reassigned to the movers in your team.

-- Teach your affiliates to do the same, and explain to them that they should teach their own affiliates to do the same, and that when they do, that they need to explain to their affiliates that they too need to teach their own affiliates to do the same.

I see that you're not asking for a list of places where you can advertise SFI. You're simply asking where to start looking for these places, or how to find out about these places.

The best way to find places to advertise SFI is to see or know where other SFI affiliates are advertising.

If you don't see this on your own (mentioned in information pages on SFI, in the forum, or in Ask SC, or physically see the ads elsewhere online or offline) then the next best thing is to ASK other SFI affiliates or your sponsor or other upline team members:

"Where do YOU advertise SFI?"
"How well is it working for you advertising at those places?"
"Which of those places are working best for you when it comes to advertising SFI?"

Simply finding out about where other SFI affiliates advertise can save you a lot of time.

To me engaging people means more that just attracting their attention; to me it means a two-way communication is taking place, or that a response of some kind has been made by the people you are addressing.

To engage one's team through Stream messages, do more than just make a statement.

Ask questions.

Ask your team to do something (something that they need to report back to you on, or something that you can go check has been done).

Be sure to respond as soon as possible to any answers you receive, or to any actions that have been taken by your team members. This shows that you are interested in your team members, and if your responses are in the comments area of your Stream post, this also shows others that you are interested in your team members - encouraging many more engagements - and progress.

My eldest son is in his last year of high school. Next week is the high school's prize giving evening, and my son will be receiving at least 4 academic trophies in addition to an assortment of certificates of achievement.

These particular academic trophies that my son will be receiving cannot be received by any pupils in the school unless those pupils are in their last year of school.

My son would not be receiving these trophies had he not worked hard at school every year for 12 years. He has had so much determination to do well every year, and has put in so much hard work, every year for 12 years, but it was impossible for him to receive these academic trophies until now.

It is 100% possible that your affiliate or any affiliate will not get as much out of SFI as they put into it - now - but should they keep working hard, the rewards will eventually come.
