I believe you prepare your affiliates for the second month from day one in SFI by doing the following:

1. Get to understand each affiliate personally through the various channels that we have. By doing so, you will be able to "classify" each affiliate by their capability, commitment, exposure to the internet, marketing background, potential financial expinditure for the business, enthusiasm etc. You can have as many groupings as you find fit according to your criteria in this "research".I know this sounds like insurmountable work, but honestly, this is one the better ways to do it. what it means is to try and have a rapport with your affiliates right from the onset.

2. Based on your groupings in (1) above, you will see that some affiliates need not rush to be EAs, rather what they need is ample time to gradually work their way up. These are affiliates whose knowhow of the internet is minimal, they cannot manipulate their way on websites, or affiliates who are financially challenged and are not able to have Standing Orders to augment their Versapoints for continued EA status.

So all it means is we have to give the correct advice to the different affiliates based on the best understanding we have of them and of SFI. As (Co)Sponsors, it is important to treat each affiliate as an individual, with specific needs as they venture into the businees. i trully think there is no a single one way of preparing all affiliates for their second month in SFI.

One of the better ways to guide the affiliates is to advise them to stick to the basics and that they do not wonder all over the show, otherwise they get themselves confused unnecessarily.

Therfore, introduce each affiliate to various aspects of the business in a tailor made way, to suit their rate of grasping the basics and based on their questions as well.

Dear Morena,
1. I think first and foremost you have to brace yourself with positive attributes such as POSITIVE ATTITUDE, DISCIPLINE, PERSEVERANCE & MANY MORE. You need these throughtout as you do your SFI Business. You also need to be PASSIONATE about SFI, hence general knowledge of the ins & outs of SFI is necessary, otherwise you get frustrated and demotivated.

2. You will need to do an analysis of the preceding month, to check on your successess & failures and also find out WHAT REALLY HAPPENED, for you to end up with the results you had, whether positive or negative. Reinforce the positives and find ways to overcome the negatives.

3. Set yourself SMART goals, not only what the GOALS TAB offfers, but go beyond that and say what you want to acieve for the month.

4. Having set your SMART goals, then make sure you have the self discipline from day one of the month to follow through with the relevant ACTION PLANS that you would have laid down for yourself.

5. In summary do everything that you should do for your business, from day one of the month, according to a laid down plan. Dont lose Focus, press on to achieve your set target

Dear Randy,
I trully believe that getting a TCurrency License ideally helps to increase sales. You would have introduced another line of product which potentially should sale. However there are other factors that you need to consider.

1. TCurrency from your LPay Merchant are purchased by SFI Affiliates & PRMs in your Country. Therefore other available payment options to SFI are in direct competition with you.

2. The number of SFI AFFILIATES &PRMs in your country who have access to your ECA, physically or online counts a lot. The more they are & the more they know about your LPay Merchant?ECA the better for you.

3. The general public's access to banks and to various bank cards & how easy it is to transact with these cards will determine/influence the demand for TCurrency by SFI AFFILIATES in your country.

4. The laws in your country surrounding FOREIGN EXCHANGE & "externalization" of funds will also come into play. These might work for or against you.

Therfore, what you might need to do to capitalise on the LPAY MERCHANT line is as follows;
1. Get to know the SFI Affiliates in your country through the Country Leaderboard for example.

2. Befriend as many as you wish, through a2a and introduce your ECA to them.

3. Use all the possible means that you can, that will catch the local SFI AFFILIATES & PRMs, to advertise your ECA. You know your country's networking better than anyone else, so go for it.

4. Where possible/feasible, have meetings with other AFFILIATES to forward the SFI AGENDA for everyone and in turn introduce yourself & your ECA.

5. Maybe you need to understand the dynamics surrounding banking, Bank cards, FOREX & transactions first even before going the LPAY MERCHANT route.

I think letting the potential recruits know the following might help you;

1. In SFI everyone should be prepared to INVEST, mostly TIME & to a lesser extend money, but they have to know that money is not exclusive.

2. They should be AVID READERS and be ready to LEARN something new everyday. SFI provides a manual on how you can navigate in the business. So you have to be a learner.

3. Everyone in SFI should also train to be a GOOD TEACHER. You will go nowhere without a team. To build a team one should be able to impart SFI knowledge to their downline & DUPLICATE.

4. Generally one also needs to be PATIENT, PERSISTENT, COMMITTED and alot more to see their SFI bring fruit.

5. SFI Affiliates need to be CREATIVE. Yes we have lots of tools within SFI, but sometimes we have to come up with something different to suite particular targetted potential affiliates.

6.SELF MOTIVATION & DISCIPLINE is also necessary. Remember you have no boss to answer to. Every Affiliate is their own boss. Therefore, one should be able to drive themselves to do the work.

I am sure when you tell every potential affiliate this, you will see the "SERIOUS ONES" coming on board and sticking around.

SFI is good for students (18 or older).
In most countries the age of 18yrs is considered adult. Therefore legally this group of individuals can operate their own business without having to seek parents' or guardians' consent.

This age group of people tends to work online a lot because of social networking and they enjoy it and have fun. Being students also, they have research to be done on the internet as well.

Therefore, SFI being an online business, with recruiting that can be done online, marketing and sales done online, I strongly believe this will be just the ideal business for students.They can relatively easily find their way on the net.

Students generally dont have much money to spend, and this kind of business which you join for free, with all the training materials for free is just the right one for students.

Even if they cannot make big money initially, but the studying years are also good to have a formative base for this business. Everyone needs to make an income and the 18 yr olds understand that as well, student or not.

I personnaly have used some of the following and have found them to be helpful;
1. Always makesure you have understood the question that has been asked. Only then are you going to respond correctly.
2. Answer the right question. I sometimes have seen very good aswers to one question posted under a diifferent question. this is an automatic disqualification, hence wasted effort.

3. It is also very critical to answer questions as soon as you see them ie as early as you possibly can. This gives your answer longer viewership by the audience and may just get more votes before even other better answers are flighted.

4.Knowledge is power.Answer those questions which you trully believe you have the answers to. If the answers are not readily in your mind, then do research. The best anwsers usually come because you read the materials that SFI offers us, understood & have applied them.
5. Whenever you can, write what you have practically done yourself. You find that the answers will be very original & in some instances unique. In as much as we are all trained through the SFI program, there are other techniques we have learnt outside SFI, but have applied them and they have worked for us. Because of this we are more passionate about what we have applied and succeeded. It is much easier to share personal experiences.
6. Where possible, have your answers short and precise. Just write to the point, without too much phylosophy, poetry or composition to it.
7. As we are encouraged by SFI, proper layout and presentation of your answer is always helpful to the reader. Most of the times numbering your points may be of an advantage.

8. Lastly I would say whatever you write down should be helpful to the questioneer, other readers and even yourself.

SFI business is structured in such a way that you need to train yourself on the ins and outs of this online business. You also are given various tools to equip you as much as possible to be able to maximise on commissions.

I am sure there are challenges you have faced or you think someone in Africa might face. I fully appreciate where you are coming from. What is critical for this business though first and foremost is to have access to the internet and a fair knowledge to navigate your way on the net, set websites/blogs...

What you should understand is that this is an online business, as a result you are interacting with the global village online. This has little to do with where you are interfacing from. One day you might relocate to the USA or Asia and you still continue with your business, carrying the same SFIID and the rest of it.

I appreciate that when it comes to having local ECAs, PSAs and doing online business with the local communities, yes you have challenges. In most African countries, being online is for a selected percentage of the population, it is so "foreign" should I say, for lack of a better word. But also remember in other worlds, people are so wary of online businesses because of the level they have gone to and all the scam schemes. Either way you face challenges.

You equally might have challenges with forex laws, depending on country and you find it difficult to make payments. Again SFI is coming up with different payment methods to make this business a easier for the diverse affiliates.

Yes the playing field might seem not level for all affiliates, you might feel you are more challenged by being in Africa, but I truly believe that it is not level for everyone anywhere in the world.

The information SFI has got and the rules for the business are the same for all affiliates. It is how you learn and apply them that determines how far you will go. Tenacity, Patience, Commitment, Diligence and SMART approaches as well as a Positive Attitude will see you make it through whether you are in Africa, America, Australia, Asia or Europe.

First and foremost I believe success is relative. Therefore a lot depends on what you are aiming for and/or at. Success has got many definitions as well, but all summarily meaning that you basically have to achieve preset goals.

To be able to measure your success, you should by all means have SMART- Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic & Timebound goals. You will have the bigger picture/ overall goal why you joined SFI. You also will also have Longterm & Short term goals within the BIG PICTURE Goal. The short term goals might be as short as daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly etc.

Besides the goals themselves, you need to have action plans, that is what are you going to do or what do you have to do inorder to achieve the different preset goals. When you look at it, in SFI we are in to boost our income, generate some money. I am sure you have also set your expected earnings at specific times by a given time post joining SFI. You also have set when you expect(ed) to be BTL, STL, GTL & PTL.

To be able to reach the set goals you go through a journey by doing all or most of what SFI recommends. These actions involve the following;

1.Reading your Launchpad
2. Learning all you can under Training
3. Applying the gained knowledge from the various lessons, using POWER TOOLS etc
4. Advertising your GATEWAYS
5. Sponsoring PSAs
6. Recruiting PRMs
7. Enrolling/Registering ECAs & many more other actions.

In other words- SUCCESS IS THE GRADUAL PROGRESSION TOWARDS PRESET GOALS & how much you have progressed in this journey tells you how SUCCESSFUL you are.

I believe everything else that you have used and always use to convince other people to join SFI should actually be applicable irrespective of a person's age. having said that I think the following might just be more convincing for the over 50s;
1. When people are over 50yrs and are employed, they are gradually approaching retirement age. therefore, by joining a reliable online business like SFI, they will not be reduntant per se when they leave employment.

2. Give them confirmed statics of the meagre retirement packages that people are getting, on average. This will make them revisit their scenario and surely if it is not rosey, they will be convinced to join. No one would want to struggle financially in their golden years of life.

3. With age, most people tend to be afflicted by several medical conditions that need doctors' attention. Chances are medical insurance might not adequately cover the medical bills, hence the need to have extra income from a business such as SFI.

4. Besides the health reasons, one would also just want to live comfortably and be finacially stable and enjoy holidays etc in their old age. Why not supplement or even cover such expenses with income from SFI.

5. Depending on background, some people of that age might be "internet illiterate" and therefore would shy away from such a business. It is critical to explain how SFI has a copehensive training programme and also how one will have mentors to help.
