What qualities does one need to have or to develop to be successful with SFI?

Only one Quality. BE TEACHABLE! Why? Because SFI offers all the Training you require through Launch Pad, all the Resources you require to Market the Products and all the support you may need through your Team Leaders, A2A, and SFI company plus everyone in our SFI community are always willing to contribute to your success!

How do I get my downline to focus on duplication? How do I explain the importance of duplication to them?

A picture is worth a thousand words and Keep It Simple Stupid (the KISS principle)

Well instead of a picture we will use a calculator, the Earnings Calculator! Go to the Income Tab of your Home Page then click on "Earnings Calculator"

From there simply show your potential Affiliate what happens to their earnings when he is sponsors 1 EA and the EA sponsors no-one then the Earnings Calculator gives the following result:
$27.30 per month after 6 months ($327.60/yr)
$54.30

What kinds of contests do your affiliates seem to respond best to?

Appreciate your answers all but arent we missing the point? Not everyone likes contests! The real question is about motivation. Every management book I have read talks about recognition and title rather than money as a motivating factor and if you want to build a successful team it is not the gifts, tc credits or even reassignment in their early stages with SFI but the recognition and positive feedback you give them and that they respond to.

If sales isn't your strong suit, what should you focus on to create a full time income in SFI?

Don't think in termes of sales! Think trust and relationship buiding! People buy from you if they trust you and feel that you believe in the products you are offering. The most important part of the sales process is building rapport firstly. If they relate to you then you OFFER them the opportunity to benefit from the product (SFI TRIPLECLICKS) because as a FRIEND you want them to benefit and not miss out on the opportunity you are offering, NOT selling!
