Collaboration!
Share efforts with others. Create a close intimate team of 3 (including yourself) to start the business explosion.
Down line growth does not require you to invest any funding but does require that you put the time info planning who, where, and how you will recruit not only PSA's, CSA's but also ECA members. All who join your team will then be part of the process to collaborate efforts to create a strong business to earn you and them unlimited income through SFI.
SFI was not meant to be done alone or in silence but to be done together and to be shared with others.
Create a plan that has you spending your time networking with others to promote the benefits of SFI - the unlimited outcome that can be achieved through SFI. The ECA program as an example is an excellent way for local businesses that you often use to share their products with others through the TripleClicks store. The sales that the ECA makes becomes commission that you earn and because of being an affiliate you too can help to promote/market his or her product too.

Is it possible to be successful in SFI even when your PSAs and CSAs do not work or have stopped working?

Absolutely!
SFI compensates those who are hard workers. You will see the benefits of working with SFI as it provides various ways to draw an income through the internet.
SFI is not solely based on having PSA's and CSA's but it also is a success due to the creation of the TripleClicks store which has many products that you may help to distribute. SFI offers each affiliate to use the ECA program - which benefits affiliates such as yourself to earn an income through sales of their products. Price benders and the WAVE# program are excellent ways to have other streams of income.
As you can see, from what I have listed as well as the other programs that SFI offers which I did not list, there is no limitation to what you and SFI can do together.
SFI has given all of us various ways to become successful.

How do I identify amongst all my downline members which ones could be superstars in SFI?

The best approach is to let your downline members show you - demonstrate their "superstar" skills.
It would not be easy for a team leader to make a decision as to whether or not an affiliate is exceptional. All affiliates move their business at a pace that is comfortable to him or her, so as a Team Leader, encourage them to go beyond what he or she typically will do in a given month and see where their growth is.
For some affiliates their preference is to build downline size before the income. Others may wish to promote sales of products or even recruit ECA members.
Check in with members to see what their goal is and see if there is any movement on achievement. A non-superstar can be one described as having no growth and no plan - this is simply an affiliate who perceives that no work is required inorder to generate an income...sadly this is not the way but many try to follow this path.
Let your Stars shine on their own and then you will most certainly know who your leading affiliates are. Superstars are every where!

What are the best ways to stay in contact with PSAs and CSAs and how often is best?

Team mail, and SFI SMS are great ways to stay connectecd with all of your downline members.
Personally I send out a Team Newsletter once per week and then through out each week I connect personally with members of my down-line to get to know them better as well as answer questions they may have while they are learning about SFI and growing their own business.
Communication is important for any team. To be able to connect with fellow team members is key so you may need to solicit feed-back from your team members as to which approach they prefer: video conference as a group meeting, video conference as 1 - 1 by using Skype or Ovoo or any other free on-line service you know of, telephone conversation, SFI Team Mailer, regular e-mail, or SFI SMS or even regular mail to send a friendly card to keep team members motivated.
I have found that everyone is different as to how to best communicate with them so ask them. They will be able to describe what is best for them.

Do I need to have a website or my own blog to be successful with SFI?

Success is how you define it. So the ownership of a blog and/or website may get you there.
I wish to emphasize that a website and blog are tools. As with any tool, you need to consider what you are comfortable with to manage in a timely fashion.
SFI can be complimentary to other on-line tools but in my opinion are not needed. The other tools that may be used are truly based on what you want and what you can achieve.
SFI offers each member a Team Leadership Page (Blog) and other on-line tools to help promte your business.
I want to state the following - do not presume that using other tools will guarantee success...drive your business with what ever tool you need to design a successful business.
You will know the answer to this based on your own skills and understanding of either tool. If you want, you can use both; no limits to what you can do to achieve success.

How important is it to have a good sponsor and co-sponsor?

To simply answer the above question - it is very important to have a good sponsor and co-sponsor.
The role of each is simply mentoring others to be personally achieving the dreams that are hoped for when one becomes an affiliate with SFI.
A good sponsor and co-sponsor are part of your up-line to model effective strategies, to share experiences of both success and the falling down and getting up moments.
The SFI organization is built on collaboration and the first line for this essential ingredient to SFI success are good sponsors and co-sponsors.
If no one was good at it we would not be here today with SFI if we did not have exposure to good sponsors and co-sponsors.

What is your advice to those who want to pursue this business but have limited time to invest into it?

Participating in SFI is not based on how many minutes, hours, days or years you are involved.
Success with SFI is putting forth what you or others can by considering what is meaningful. Meaningfulness simply is your way to consider what is needed to be done in the moment and prioritize your actions to follow through on to keep your SFI business growing.
Time is valuable - absolutely true!
Any minute spent on SFI is a minute more spent on self - the best investment known to any entrepreneur.
Everyone has the same number of minutes and hours in a day so what makes each of us different is how we use our units of time. If the units of time available for the SFI business is limited - that is perfectly fine as every minute counts...
If you and fellow affiliates in your down-line - let say all together there are 35 people (including you) and each only spends 5 minutes a day on SFI related tasks that means 35 x 5 minutes = 175 minutes in one day for the whole team - almost 3 hrs! So imagine when you have 100 team members working side by side or even 1600...it is endless.
The power of team work is what makes SFI work! Everyone is able to leverage on each other's time spent on SFI...PRICELESS!

What are you doing to help your PSAs become Team Leaders?

Transparency in my business practice is how I help my down-line PSA's to promote themselves to Team Leader status.
I have found that transparency in my business habits - expressing what I have found helpful, not helpful, hardship, and success strategies, has helped not only my PSA's to strive to be their best but also helps to develop Trust Dividends in our working relationship in SFI.
I also believe that everyone is a Leader in SFI - no matter status achieved so I have open dialogue with all down line members about products, services and at times conversations which applaud their efforts.
I recognize that everyone has a role in SFI and so I choose to respect the diversity that I have the privilege to work with and express gratitude for the diverse skill sets that are pooled together through the affiliate membership of SFI.
I also attempt to use the tools that are available through SFI to motivate PSA's such as setting up a Co-op Manager, sending out weekly Team Mail messages, direct contact with Team Mailer or e-cards, Forum post/s sharing, & Stream posts to share thoughts of encouragement, links to other resources, and strategies.
Transparency promotes open communication and open mindedness on my part so that I am always present to be focused on what each PSA may require. Being present and focused means I take time on a regular basis to review PSA's goals and read their posts as well so that I learn more about them which then makes me a better support for his or her needs in her business.

My advertising is not providing satisfactory results. What should I do?

I think it is great that you are able to identify that your advertising is not providing satisfactory results - this shows that you are keeping track of your efforts.
In response to your question, I suggest that the next step is to consider the following:
Each advertising/marketing campaign has a target audience fit - in other words each campaign will be suited to a group of people.
The other part of the concern is to define what you mean by "satisfactory results". Does this mean the number of people who view your on-line materials or the number of conversions that you have from viewing to actually signing up to join SFI.
It seems to me that the results you are looking for may need clarity so that you're working toward a specific result which is then easy to measure for effectiveness or not effective.
You're on the right track about monitoring the results of your advertising efforts as it is important to keep your efforts current by tweaking every so often so the advertising approaches do not become stale.
You also may want to review other advertising strategies from fellow SFI affiliates - A2A friends, up-line or even down-line members to see what is being used in their efforts that may be duplicated or modified to become part of your advertising program.
Results are simply a measure of out-come so be sure you review not only the number of "hits" you get but review the target audience you wish to get attention from and purpose for the advertising campaign. All of these together will impact what your results will be.

What is the best way to begin a new month in SFI and achieve success?

For every new month, I take a day to review what business habits worked last month and write them down. I also take a few minutes to consider what business habits did not work during the previous months and write them down.
I then proceed to focus on the successful strateiges to duplicate my postive effforts from the previous month in the current business month.
The sooner I start this review (first day of the month preferrably) the sooner you begin to create a routine of stratigies that are helping your SFI business to grow from one month to the next.
Keeping both lists of what worked and did not work helps you to stay focused on the good things and learn what can be improved upon to make it work better the next time.
The ealier you begin the sooner you will acheive your desired goal for the month.
