To promote my SFI business, how do I get listed on Google, Bing, and other popular search engines?

I appreciate this question as every affiliate can benefit from all the answers that this receives.
Hopefully the following provides you some assistance to promoting your SFI business:
Search engines send out crawlers to index your site's contents. Crawlers follow the links found on your site and enter your site into their search database based on text they find on your pages. This text is either found on your public pages, or the text keywords found in behind-the-scenes tags. The amount of your keywords found on your page, the more weight it has with the search engines and the higher your ranking. But in case you think you can load your page with keywords in order to fool the search engine, think again. Search engines are smart and you can be penalized for keyword stuffing on your website.
Search engines use several techniques to determine which category your site belongs in and which keywords people will use to find your site when using the search engine.
Once your site is ready for the search engines, then you have to submit it to them. For Google, you can submit it here:
http://www.google.com/submityourcontent/#
For Bing, you can submit it here: https://ssl.bing.com/webmaster/legacy/submitsitepage.aspx
Yahoo uses Bing's search engine, so you don't need to submit it separately to Yahoo.
You may find it helpful to use Google's Webmaster Tools and Bing's Webmaster Tools to assist with tracking et al.
In short, the preparing of a web-site for submission to search engines can feel like a daunting task. So consider the tips above; you'll save yourself a lot of time and frustration when it comes time to submitting your site and rank higher in search results.

What is the most effective strategy for reassigning people in your downline?

It seems that re-assignment is a great way to grow the strength of fellow affiliates who are all ready part of your down line.
It benefits not only you but those who are showing consistent efforts with their SFI work. Reassignment has some rules that need to be followed in order to use this strategy.
Review your down line member's goals and see how their leadership-mentor skills are progressing and developing. Mentoring is the important factor to consider when reassignment is being done. Down line members need to have a mentor as you have a mentor as we are all part of a down line structure.
Building teams is important so do not forget to utilize this strategy of reassignment to those who are great leaders in your team. Team Building at it's BEST.

As a business owner - the more legit you can show-case your store on-line the better off you are.
People will be hesitant to purchase items until they are shown that your sales are high quality products with high quality customer service.
Purchase a license to have more added security for your customers. Customers who purchase with confidence will become repeat customers and will also advertise for you through their positive experience and will highlight the lisences that you currently have to promote "feeling safe" with your ECA store.

Here are a few tips to consider for setting up SEO on your website to promote SFI and TripleClicks:
1. Create a site map that makes it easier to navigate through your website. The fewer clicks needed to get around on your site better. "Less is More".
2. Make your URLs more search-engine-friendly by naming them with clear keywords.
3. Image descriptions are helpful - make the words associated with your images as descriptive as possible. This is so as the SEO's web crawlers read text not pictures.
4.Content needs to be fresh -- updating regularly and often is crucial for increasing traffic.
5. An easy way to direct more traffic to your site is by developing relationships with other sites.
As you can see the ones I suggest are only a few out of so many things but I believe these to be the top 5 things you need to consider when working on SEO needs for your website.

A simple way to explain to prospects about what SFI is about is for you to share what SFI means to you. It is that simple.
Some words that may be used to describe SFI and what it means to you can be but not limited to the following words/phrases:
On-line business - I own my own business online that sell items for personal use and business use, (new prospects can do the same;
SFI is a great opportunity to earn an income - primary or secondary;
SFI is an opportunity to help prepare for retirement years;
SFI is a community of entrepreneurs helping each other to have successful online businesses and this opportunity is available for free to anyone else that is interested, would you like for me to show you;
SFI is an international company that has openings all the time and it is free to join;
SFI has an on-line store, would you like for me to show you....then can show how to become an affiliate or even a regular customer to purchase items through the store;
SFI enables me to give back to my local community through e-commerce and it is easy for anyone else to do the same.
Take the time to consider what SFI means to you and what it does for you and then consider what SFI has done for other affiliates. Once you have an answer to what it means to you and to other affiliates, simply share these comments to prospects and see what their response will be.

What's the difference between being an SFI affiliate and having a traditional business, and which is better?

Owning a traditional business compared to being an SFI affiliate really has no 'better than the other' comparison.
Simply owning a business is an exciting endeavour for anyone and yet it is up to the individual to review what he/she is capable of doing and then finding which model of business is a better fit.
Owning a business can be compared to "owning a coat"...there are so many different designs, sizes and uses that at times the person wanting the coat needs to consider which is the best "fit" by reviewing personal need for the coat such as function and purpose for buying the coat. Owning a business is similar.
Best fit is truly determined by individual preferences based on current circumstances and needs. SFI is a fantastic way to own a business and as affiliates are aware of, SFI provides all the tools that are needed to be successful.

How does one support all your downline affiliates if you have barely enough to support your own self?

Support all your down-line members by devoting time each day to them. Time is valuable and when you share yourself through e-mails and Team Mail you are supportive to all.
Support does not have to be based on financial means but can be through your use of time, use of open communication, and use of knowledge that you have about what has been working to grow your SFI business in your local community.

This is a great question and all I can say there is "not only one road to get you there"...below I will share one of the many ways that can be used to lead people to TripleClicks and even have them join to become an affiliate.
I have found the use of conversation the best way to lead people to TripleClicks (which generates sales and earn commissions).
The power of a conversation simply will have you listen to what people are wanting or searching for such as healthy food choices, e-books/materials on how to run a business on line, reduced costs on technologies such as Ipad's et al. People will express what they have interest in when you have a conversation with them...simply ask questions about who they are, what they do in their spare, time and what they do professionally. TripleClicks has so many items to offer, you will surely find a way to match an item or two from TripleClicks to their need.
The power of conversations will have you listen to what people are saying and then you can make meaningful connections to their need through possible matching items to that need.
Remember a conversation is when two or more people get together to share ideas and brain storm solutions to problems. So use conversation and not lecture to share what you have found, TripleClicks, to solve your problems.

When starting out in SFI, is it better to invest in advertising or in an EA-qualifying purchase?

Both are great investments but if you have to choose between 1 or the other as a starting point...
Purchase your EA qualifying purchase. An EA status does receive long term benefits such as T-credits, Banner/s for your profile, Second Home CSA's.
Once you or an affiliate is able to do so- invest in advertisements so as to sustain your EA status through various streams of income that is offered through SFI.
SFI is an accumulation of decisions that you make. Both ideas are important so which one to choose as first step in developing your business needs to fit with your long term goal.
I suggest first invest in your own credibility - EA status, so then you may grow your team as a mentor.

Is it wise to offer non-SFI related incentives to my CSAs and PSAs? For example, create a standing order and get a free DVD?

Incentive programs are only as effective as the item that is being offered to motivate engagement.
I personally have offered items to downline members in form of an incentive to encourage ownership of SFI and to motivate fellow affiliates to be active. I have offered both SFI related and non-SFI related and did not receive the outcome that I was anticipating.
I have learned that incentive programs need to be value added so consider doing a quick survey or questionnaire with downline members on how you can assist them - after you can then consider what incentive will add value such as a business magazine subscription, movie DVD or any other item.
It never hurts to give something a try as what may not have worked for me may work for you as we are different people.
Give it a try and I would most certainly appreciate a follow-up to let me know it worked or even did not work. It can always be tweaked and improved upon to make it work!
Incentive plans are in many companies, even in SFI. Don't knock it until you try it.
