I'll keep my answer simple. Allow as much time as it takes.

In my experience... whenever someone puts a timeline on success, it usually results in a deadline for failure. I've tested this in the past, if they say they'll try it for a year... they're gone in 6 months.

If they say 6 months, they're gone in 3. If they say 1 month, in 2 weeks they are inactive.

Time won't produce income... Effort WILL!

It's never too much if you are providing them with useful information that will help THEM. It's always too much if you are just sending them stuff to help YOURSELF.

There is no perfect answer to this question, because everyone is different. Some people can't get enough communication and others will get upset with just one email.

If you are unsure, you can't go wrong by asking them. Find out from them what type of information they would like to receive and how often. Some people prefer several short topic specific emails while others prefer broader less frequent multi-topic newsletter type emails.

It still comes back to your motive for sending it... If it's for THEM, send it. If it's solely for selfish reasons like getting a couple VP, don't.

I think ANYONE who isn't an SFI affiliate is a great candidate. TripleClicks has something to offer to everyone, so I wouldn't rule out anyone.

Auctions, games, music and products from over 110 countries... with more being introduced all the time. Who wouldn't benefit from a TripleClick's Gift Card?

Someone who enjoys auctions will be able to try out PriceBenders with their TCredits.

Stop by local garage sales and ask if they ever considered taking their sales online and give them a gift card to get started. Maybe, give them some gift cards to pass out to their customers too.

I just give them the MAP. It's the same plan I followed over the years to move myself up SFI's Power Rankings.
I still refer to it today when I get off course. The MAP will lead you back no matter what stage you are at.

Minimum Action Plan (MAP)

1. Become and remain an Executive Affiliate.
2. Find 5 to join you.
3. Teach them the same.

This is the foundation of every successful SFI business, if you are not having the success you desire look at the MAP. Identify and work on the area
where you are lacking (You can always do more, but never do less.). We become overwhelmed when we try to take in too much or do too much, we get caught up
in the details and lose focus on the basics. Use the MAP to filter out the noise.

SFI isn't "rocket science" it's "1st grade science".

Here's an excerpt from an article I wrote in 2005 that relates to being overwhelmed.

The green thumb approach is what I refer to as the MAP today.

It reminds me of when I was in 1st grade. We were each given a styrofoam cup, a handful of dirt, a bean seed and some water. With no knowledge of photosynthesis, the reproductive properties of the bean, soil to seed ratio or any of the details why... 30 six-year olds managed to GROW a bean!

SFI isn't much different... you have all the tools, just put it together and LET IT HAPPEN!

What would the the results have been if my 1st grade class were given too many choices. Would a flower pot be better than a styrofoam cup? Plastic or clay?
Green, white or red? What kind of soil? Sand, silt, clay or loam? Hybrid seed or heirloom? Green bean, wax bean, pinto bean or maybe a lima bean? Rain water... tap water... Evian?

Imagine how quickly they would have lost interest, if they were bombarded with all these decisions. The FUN would quickly have faded. How many would have remained focused? How many would have just grown bored, distracted or simply quit?

Whether you are 6 years old trying to grow a bean or 60 years old trying to grow your business, if you bog yourself down with the details... you will lose focus on the basics.

Why is creating duplication in your SFI business important?

Leverage...

Duplication turns small numbers into BIG numbers rather quickly.

Sponsor just 5 and teach them to do what you are doing. Even if you just purchase or sell a single TCredit and your 5 duplicate this simple step, your business will be in profit.

If your 5 duplicate you by finding 5 of their own, and they also duplicate... you will soon have a team of over 15,000.

Of coarse you don't want to settle for a tiny profit each month, so you will want to become an EA and as your affiliates continue to duplicate you will find yourself advancing to team leader.

Once you advance to team leader, all the good habits you've been teaching your team to duplicate will start paying off big-time.

Simple things like teaching your team to do their daily actions. In the beginning as an EA those 13 cents you earn through the Executive Pool for your dailies doesn't seem like much, but once you reach team leader and start earning matching VP on 15,000... that 13 cents turns into $1,950.00.

Duplication = Leverage

Leverage your time as well as your income.

The one sentence I would use is:

"I'm an independent sales representative for the greatest marketing group in the world, Strong Future International."

Then, depending on the context of the situation I would hand them an SFI x-card or a TripleClicks gift card. This will give them the option of finding out more, if they want to... no pressure.

2. Find 5 to join you
3. Teach them the same

This should be your primary focus until you have this in place. After your foundation is in place, it's your business and your choice what areas to promote.

Don't get me wrong though, you can be successful in other areas, but it's usually short lived without a solid foundation. Also, having your foundation in place will magnify your success in the other areas you choose to focus.

PSAs should ONLY be purchased to complement your own advertising NEVER to replace it.

You will always do better with your own advertising... the ads you use will attract like minded people. With your own advertising... you choose who you want to advertise to, where you want to advertise, how you want to advertise. In other words, you are in control. You can make changes and adjustments at anytime to improve your results.

With purchased PSAs, what you get is what you get. You have no ability to improve your results. This is what you agree to when you purchase them.

I just want to add one more thing...

Too many people get mad at, blame and complain about the sellers... why not work with the sellers to improve the quality of their sign-ups. A reputable seller should welcome your feedback and continually work on improving their results.

Just jump in! Not only is this the best way, in my opinion it's the only way.

You can read all the books, study all the courses and visit all the websites... but if you don't get out there and do it, you will get nowhere.

Your learning will be ongoing. Every site you advertise on or method you use will carry it's own set of rules. They will be constantly changing and evolving. What works great today may be obsolete tomorrow.

One very simple way to get started is with SFI e-cards. Another simple but often overlooked method is an e-mail signature ad. (You're email provider should be able to provide you with instructions on how to set this up.)

A forum signature is another simple way to get started as you learn. (Always follow the forum rules.)

Blog comments are another way to get your feet wet as you learn.

Don't be surprised that in 3 to 5 years some of these ads you are learning with today will still be yielding results.

First we need to dispel the misconception that a standing order is only good if you set it up for 1500 vp to maintain your status. ALL standing orders are beneficial regardless of their vp value.

We have to work with what we have, if you can only afford a standing order for 1 TCredit... DO IT! You will be amazed at how much this will strengthen SFI and increase the Executive pool.

Instead of all the effort spent trying to pull pennies OUT of the executive pool we should be working on putting pennies INTO the executive pool preparing for the time when we will be benefiting the most.

EVERY SFI affiliate should have a standing order if they are able.

So set one up yourself... One of the things I emphasize on my leadership page is:
