There are 3 steps to accomplish this.


Step 1: Challenge Them - Make sure they know about the leadership challenge, and know your personal goals for the challenge and invite them to do better than you do. People have a competitive nature and knowing your rival makes it personal. They need to see the clear goals and know that others are working to get to the finish line before them.

Step2: Support Them - Start a special advertising co-op that all who commit to taking the challenge get 1 share of. Known that you will be advertising to help them reach the goal will inspire team work and cause a ripple effect as they in turn mirror what you have done with their own referrals.

Step 3: Reward Them - For each level they reach in the challenge give them another share in the advertising co-op so they get even more help gaining the referrals needed to reach the next level. If they reach the ultimate goal reward them with a gift certificate, or t-credits, and 2 entries to start on the next quarterly challenge.

If they are referring EA2 you are making a minimum 1500VP each per month, BTL 3000VP each per month and so forth. You will also see your rank improve and with that the level of your downline could reach 12 levels deep as the challenge activities push you to becoming a Platinum or Diamond Team Leader. Sharing in the wealth will help you stay in that position and help your team do even better in their recruiting long term.

The Leadership challenge has been launched to encourage all affiliates to participate in developing a robust, active group of PSAs. This is an excellent method to increase awareness of the potential of duplication in team building.

In order to get more of your team participating in SFI’s quarterly Leadership Challenge, do the following steps:

1 Win a quarterly contest yourself first.If you haven't, educate yourself by questioning those who have won the contest. How did they do it? What can you use for yourself and your downline from how they did it? Explain the benefits of winning that go beyond what SFI provides. For instance show them in concrete terms what an active PSA can bring to their table.Write in specifics, not in general. If you participate in a successful activity. Write your group about it, and teach them how to duplicate your success.

2.Are you modeling and teaching them how to progress in SFI? Study to find out how you can improve the TEACHING in your weekly letters. Every letter you send should focus on attracting PSA's and not on how to get VP's or TCredits. These are rewards and not actions that are beneficial to getting more and active PSA's. We all have to attract a large number of PSA's to get active affiliates. You need to fill in the gaps of what they don't know. Teach them how and show them where they can advertise. Show them the value of an active PSA and help them to come up to this standard. So often as sponsors, we use praise and platitudes to just keep them as a mediocre PSA, instead of working to educate ourselves how to TEACH them to actively recruit active PSA's.

3.Check their ledger and see if they are more interested in getting VP than in recruiting affiliates. Do you see them sending out regular emails? Do they take advantage of everything on the daily TODO list and make their stream messages count for something, even if they suspect no one reads it. Are they getting passion from you, or mediocrity? Passion is a BIG motivator. If you are not passionate, nothing will work for you. If your are struggling, get your favorite self help book out and read it, or read something new, but work on your passion for what you are teaching.

4. Notice that I used the word teaching a lot. Teaching goes beyond motivating an individual. It is giving them the tools to be motivated.

5. Use incentives - not to get VP's or Tcredits. Actually ignore these so that they dwindle in importance. Be sure that they do keep EA going. What you notice becomes more important. You want them to concentrate on getting PSA's. Send some type of incentive for every PSA they get, no matter how they got it. That includes PSA earned in auctions or won or whatever. What you are doing is increasing the importance of gaining PSA's. If you have the means send them Tcredits or a $2.00 gift certificate. If not, send an Ecard congratulating them on the PSA. List what that PSA can do for them if they are teaching the PSA as you have trained them to do.

6. Building a team means that you are willing to do the hard stuff too. How you do it is very, very important. If they aren't up to snuff, leave your badgering, bullying nature and words out. Use words of encouragement and again reiterate your teachings and their benefits from being an actively recruiting affiliate.

7. Always notice and encourage anything they do that is productive and if something they are doing is counter productive, ignore it and give them the right way to proceed in your writings. Or talk in general terms about how some people do so and so and demonstrate what happens when they do it this way. Try not to confront your affiliates, go around them and teach.

I just wish that I was as successful as I wanted to be in doing these things. I know what to do, and so often I don't do it as well as I should. In order to be really successful at anything, you have to give it 110 percent.

Does this mean time and money? No, it means passionately do your work within the parameters of time and money that you have. Take a few moments and meditate to clear your mind before you start to write or interact with an affiliate, so you are fully committed and passionate at that moment. State clearly what they can do to follow your lead and be passionate enough to follow what you tell them to do.

Understand what is Leadership Challenge.
The Leadership Challenge is a quarterly contest for all SFI affiliates interested in developing a strong, active group of personally sponsored affiliates working on both sponsoring and duplication platforms which generate income through EA2s. Leadership Challenge is divided into 5 levels with different requirement at each level . The winning affiliate is awarded with different prices.

Criteria to participate.
At Level 1 develop just 4 new EA2s to win 100 tcredits and a wrist band.
At Level 2,, develop 6 new EAs to win SFI wrist, 200 tcredits, a tote bag, a handy slip pocket and two pen holder.
Level 3, develop 3 team leaders to win 300 tcredits and a few other prizes.
Level 4, develop 6 new Team Leaders with 400 tcredits and other prizes
Level 5 develop 8 team leaders and other prizes.

Who should participate.
Participants must have a minimum 1500 VP Standing Order processed during the last month of the contest, provide a valid and complete current physical mailing address
Open to all current SFI affiliates with one contest entry per affiliate.

Having known the qualifications to participate, I will invite my team members who have 4 EA2s to participate in 1st Level.

Explain the benefits and getting new EA2s. These EA2s will form the production line to generate sales and matching vps.. Should an EA cannot make it to EA2, the sponsors should help by giving tcredts to participate in the contest. And also to ensure that EA2 will maintain his/her rank.

I will intensify my advertising platform to recruit more PSAs and in the 3rd month will be EA2
Continue to send out group mails to set their targets for EA2 within the 3 months while the contest is on. Organize contest to attract lukewarm and inactive affiliates to start working in SFI andbecome EA/EA2.

To be effective, you need to be a winner yourself.
You can't tell your team to go for what you yourself have not achieved.
When i saw that my sponsor had won 2 of the contest, it gingered me to win mine. When i won last summer, my sponsor won Level 5 and won again the winter. When i saw the benefits of the level 5, i wanted it and that was to build new Team Levels. I began to think of raising some and am already working towards it.
2. Tell them the requirements and benefits of the contest.
Like i said, your winning even one will give it a spice because you've enjoyed the benefits. This has been my primary stimulator for my team to participate in the Leadership contest.
3. I show them how to begin and how to win, telling them the various levels that there are and the benefits for each. I tell them to try to raise 4 EAs in their team for 3 months and they'l win the Level 1 and i tell them of the SFI flashlight, keyholder plus 100Tcredit that they'l win and what they could do with the Tcredit plus the Ultimate duel of the leadership drawing which is the SFI inscripted Apple ipad.
My response has been great.

Getting more of my team participating in SFI's quarterly Leadership Challenge is a big challenge in itself.

I have only ever won once, and it's not due to lack of effort or enthusiasm - it just did not happen again! Workers are hard to come by, and we need to keep looking for one every time a new PSA arrives.

My one and only Leadership Challenge Badge has been one of my prized possessions in SFI. It is there for my team to see and aspire to achieve without any pushing on my part. I kept on aspiring to win more Leadership Challenges, leading by example, but still couldn't find enough aspirant from among my team.

One day one of my new PSAs started to show leadership by sponsoring 5 and helping these 5 to become EAs then EA2s, and without his knowledge was already qualifying for Level 1 of the Leadership Challenge. And became one of the winners!

What he's done is an exact duplication of what the SFI Ultra-Simple 3-Steps Plan has recommended. And my PSA has exactly duplicated me- we're now both displaying the same Leadership Challenge Badge!

Sharing my PSA's success with the rest of my team through my weekly messages, Stream Post, and in my Leadership Page blog will hopefully get more of my team to participate in the next quarterly Leadership Challenge. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Quarterly Leadership Challenge is a great motivation for us and to our team to keep moving forward. It is beneficial to everybody, both us as Team leaders and our team mates are all moving towards successful SFI business if we take the challenge.

Here is what you can do to motivate your team to participate in the quarterly challenge

1. Participate your self - duplication is teaching your team to follow what you are doing. So if you want them to participate on this quarterly challenge, you should participate your self.

2. Reiterate and explain the announcement - Some of them may not be able to understand what the challenge is all about. Send one or two team messages explaining what is the quarterly challenge. Explain the mechanics and the rewards in simple terms.

3. Tell them to integrate it in their monthly Goal. - Your monthly goal must reflect how you will accomplish the quarterly challenge. Then show it to your team how you do it and encourage them to do the same.

4. Sponsor a coop. - By sponsoring a coop your are helping them to get the challenge. You can sponsor 1 free coop for all your active PSA and another paid coop.

5. Offer other practical help - As needed be there for any help they may ask.

The Leadership Challenge is a great motivation incentive program through SFI. This program is available to all affiliates and yet not all participate.

It is important to take some time to find out from your down line membership team members as to what prevents them from participating in the Challenge.

I have been with SFI for a couple of years and have found that many affiliates may not feel ready to take on a leadership tittle so may by default not consider participation with the challenge. With this in mind, it has been helpful to send out TeamMail messages which reminds all down line members their importance with SFI and to truly let their strengths shine. When the focus is on what can be done and know-how, the affiliates immediately will see an increase in their down-line too which will have them part of the Leadership Challenge.

It is important to keep in mind that to lead it is not necessary to have a special titile BUT is important to have the skills and knowledge of how to lead others. Leading others is simply giving others the opportunity to be their best and if this means coaching or modelling or simply motivating others to bring out their best - then this is the focus.

As a entrepreneur, it may simply mean taking time to develop self first to increase self-knowledge and skills on how to be a leader (not based on title but relationship with others). Leading is a learned skill and so if you or I can teach down line members to feel comfortable with leading then there will be nothing holding them back from taking on the Challenge.

Accepting the Challenge is one part of this the other is to feel confident in the Challenge to do as well as you can.

Encourage creativity with the resources that a down line member has access to and watch them win the Leadership Challenge.
