When people are not comfortable with online purchases and payments, they go shopping in person and pay for their wants and needs right out of their hand with cash, check, or credit card. Or in some cases, they barter. Either way, they are face to face with the seller and can arrange payment smoothly, and can see the end of the transaction.

For those people, it will take a long time usually to convince them to change their methods. You might succeed in changing their minds, but unless you can show them a product that they want but can not get locally, you will have to do a lot of convincing.

The best way to get them interested in our business is to make a plan. There are no first and second points. They are both first and second. It goes in a circle. The two points are:
A. Recruit PSAs from a certain locality. Promise them that you will have local ECA stores that they can buy from in person as they are used to doing.
B. Refer businesses from that locality to become ECAs that offer LocalPay local pick-up. Promise them that you will have customers for them.

Encourage both PSAs and ECAs to advertise for more customers(PSAs or PRMs) and more local businesses (ECAs) to join the co-operative (your local SFI/TC pocket). You as the Sponsor can offer advertising Co-ops for the PSAs and encourage all of them to advertise their local ECAs.

As the local economy gets better because of this, your people will be more willing to reach out over the internet.

The trick, if you call it that, is to take time to really understand how wonderfully put together the Genealogy is, what it can do and show you, how to maneuver through it, and then teach your team members how to fully appreciate it.

In the beginning of a new PSAs career in SFI, he has no downline or maybe the two CSAs. He has no way to get to know the many aspects of the Genealogy without members listed. By reassigning him at least three of your PSAs you will give him the ability to learn how to use it. I suggest that you include at least two counties and stack the reasigneds so that he has at least two generations.

Since the purpose of this reassignment is to give him practice with the Genealogy and its sorting tools, and Mailer, you do not have to send active PSAs. We all have excess inactives. Don't be stingy, give him enough to really play with. Send your PSA a letter explaining why and what you are doing and that later on as he gets the hang of the whole thing you will sent him active PSAs.

If you are worried about cluttering up his Genealogy with inactive PSAs then only reassign him those with red flags. They will soon be gone from his Genealogy. But warn him that they will not remain for long....

Your role in SFI is not as an employer. You do not offer jobs. What you are is a business consultant, a trainer, a team leader, a business builder.

You gather together a group of people who are interested in making more money than they are doing now, who want financial freedom, who want to be free from a day to day job. You will show them how to set up and build their own businesses. Some of these people will know what they need to do, others will have never owned their own business and only know how to be an employee.

You will teach duplication, responsibility, investing strategies, and sales and recruiting techniques.

And you will tell them that eventually they also will be doing these things once they are knowledgeble and their business foundation is set up.

Assuming that you have already built up a stable business that is supplying you with a steady income, then at the beginning of failing health or when you are contemplating retirement from the SFI business, take those whom you are wanting to inherit your business and show them what it is doing for you right at that time. Explain what you have done to get to that place and that this business will only make them money if they learn how to work it and do it. Then begin to train them. Be an awesome sponsor to them so they can have a role model to duplicate.

Then sign each of them up as your PSA. At this stage in your life each heir is probably living outside of your house. Start them from scratch and see how each one does. You will find the star in the group. And the loser. Begin moving your other PSAs under your heirs, keeping the best for yourself.

As the heirs prove themselves, finish reassigning your best PSAs to them. The final step would be to reassign the less qualified heirs under the best working heir, keeping that one best worker under you. This will insure that you will continue to have a steady income as long as you maintain BTL.

At the time of your death or total retirement, the top heir will transfer to your sponsor and you will be out of the loop with your heirs sitting in their positions. If they work as a team, the business will only get bigger. If they squabble, they will kill it themselves, and they lose.

The words "without relying on SFI management" scream out rebellion, the rebellion to Duplication. Success in SFI is dependent on duplication. We follow those who have succeeded before us. We do what they do. Creativity is no always the best thing. Creativity is purposely doing something like no one else is doing it. Do we want our PSAs to do that?

In fact, the area that is most apt to turn on our creativity is closed to us as beginner affiliates so that we will learn how to use what is already in use. Read the Affiliate Agreement thoroughly again. But for now #20 and #26 are in my focus. the advertising rules. In short, we are to only use the text ads, banners, etc. that are already approved by SFI for all advertising. When we are a Team Leader, then we may submit our own ads to SFI for approval and then use them. There are other rules about what, how and where we can advertise. Do you want your PSAs breaking this agreement and being cut out of SFI?

In every facet of SFI we are encouraged to duplicate what our sponsor is doing. That of course is dependent upon your sponsor being active and duplicating his own sponsor. If you are sponsored by an inactive affiliate or one that you can tell is not following SFI procedure, then you must find help from other up line, the Forum, ASK SC, the Help Desk, etc. You do want to duplicate what is succeeding and you want your PSAs to do the same.

What you can do to make SFI more attractive to your new PSAs is to be excited about the programs, tell them what you like about SFI, how you use certain tools, about the comp plan and the many ways they can profit from it. Never use negative thoughts. There is always a positive way to say something. You don't need to "warn" them about anything, they will find the bumps by themselves. Be ready to answer questions about their disappointments. The first commission if they only did the To Do List, starting at zero on the second month. Thing like that have a positive side to them. Find it.

Teach them how to find answers, how to use the tabs and menus, and searches. Let them learn that all their questions have answers and their problems have solutions. And that they are important to your team and to the SFI Family.

The best way to communicate with your downline is with respect, honesty, directness.

No matter how new to marketing a person is, how naive he or she is in marketing and dealing with people, or how foolish you think your downline is, you must treat the person with respect. He has needs, wants and dreams, and wants to capture them. You are his sponsor or co-sponsor and therefore you are responsible for guiding him and encouraging him to follow the path.

As he begins to learn about SFI, he may begin to insert his own ideas. You must communicate that we achieve success by following successful people.

Though many people push for creativity, you are to teach him duplication from both sides.As they resist what you say, you must communicate directly, no beating around the bushes, tell it as it is, with compassion in a way that encourages and dos not leave him with the feeling that you have just belittled him.

It doesn't matter which tool you use for the communication, as long as both you and the affiliate have and use the same service.

I would leave the translation work to him if you are English speaking and he is not. He is more likely to know which translator does the best with his language. That's not to say that you can not send him a short note in his language, but important mail should be sent in English as more people may be able to help him.

Begin with something uplifting and then deal with any problems directly. Problems do not have to be dealt with in a negative way. Find the positive side to all things. You are doing a good thing for him, helping him to succeed in business, not pointing out his faults.

From the USA you can just let SFI figure the cost of shipping at the time of the sale. The purchaser will know what that amount is at the time he hits the ORDER button.But you must submit the total weight of the object plus the packaging at the time you write the item description. Also TC does not add on the extras like insurance and tracking, so if you want to do that, then include them in your item price.

Shipping is expensive, but I have found that if the person wants your product, he will pay the shipping.

You might also want to search out foreign companies that will drop ship items for you to their nearby countries for a lesser shipping cost.

When you are just starting out in SFI the best thing to do is to not ignore anything that is in the web-site. It will all become useful to you at some time in the near future. It will tell you to listen to the video and read the START and BASICS and the LAUNCHPAD. Take time to do this. You will also be told about FastTrack and the New Members Kit. You have 10 days to decide and act on it. This will become important to you in a very short while.

When you begin to do the TO-DO list, you will usually be eager to gather all the VP as fast as you can. Relax, take it slowly, Save some of the work for the next month. Spend your extra time looking through the products on TripleClicks including the ones sold directly from TC. Put in an order right away. This will also save you some of the To Do List VP for next month.

Only do enough to earn your EA badge, or if you are a speedy one, then go for BTL. But if you go for BTL you ought to continue to strive for it the next month, also.

In the second month, be prepared to write out a Standing Order that has 1500-2000 VP. 2000 VP is allowed to count towards your badge if you are aiming for BTL. Stop studying long enough to write out a well-thought out budget for your SFI business expenses. Check out the marketing aids and order some each month along with TCredits and your normal household purchases. You buy those elsewhere so now buy them from TC. Also by a share of S Builders co-op so you will be recruiting while you are studying.

At BTL you will begin to really gather CSAs who may already be actively working their businesses. You also get other perks that you don't get at EA.

If you don't go for BTL the second month then be sure to do EA2. The second month you will want to begin advertising. Be sure you have done the TO-DO List lessons on that. Also check out the Marketing Methods and put some of them to use.

It's a good idea to contact your sponsor in addition to the letter to the sponsor at the TO-DO List. In this letter tell him a little about you. What you want to get out of this business and ask him any questions you have.

Do not wait for months before you begin to read and participate in the Forum. Also begin to do the red tabs everyday. Do not ignore the time taking ones like ASK SC.

When a person has very little tie to use on building his SFI business, he must plan his time very wisely and be very careful to not get lured onto a rabbit trail or waste even a moment of his time.
It is important to gather all the Action VP possible so the first priority is to do the Daily, Weekly and Monthly tasks.

Buy TC products with the maximum allowed SVP for your intended rank at the beginning of the month. Buy it in one lump Standing Order. You can change the items, but to save time, just keep ordering what you need every month. Once your Sales VP are in, you only have to attend to the action VP.

Be sure you have plenty of TCredits to last the month. You will need 60-61 TCredits just to do the EZ Zebra game and make one Auction bid each day. Spending a single TCredit on each of these every day will bring you 4 AVP instead of only 2, so these are important to not miss.

The games take up a lot of time so only lay long enough each day to use one TCredit. If you need more AVP later in the month, you can use auto-bid and burn up many TCredits in a short while and maybe even win the item.

To save advertising time, include in your Standing Order at least one share of S Builder's Co-op. This will give you a slow steady stream of new PSAs. You will be able to take care of two new ones every day if necessary and still stay within your hour.

The most important thing to fit into your hour is communication with your team. Vary your methods each day so there will be variety in your communications, such as e-Card, IM, Team Letters, etc. Send out TCredits and Gift Certificates when needed. And keep up your leadership Page.

Keep your work concentrated. Don't fly out in all possible directions. Your time will eventually loosen up when your PSAs become real team leaders themselves and you begin to earn LVP.
At this time you might delegate certain activities to your TLs, such as putting a certain number of free advertisements out directed toward your team co-op. Anyone can post an ad to that effect, thus strengthening the whole team.

Keep in touch with your Sponsor and ask him to help you in certain areas while your time is very short.
