Everything you do today will matter tomorrow. So to give your business the best chance possible to succeed you need to commit to do whatever you can do every day.

Log in and do your daily tasks every day - not only for the badges you earn that way but also for the VP you earn. Every single VP brings you closer to qualify for EA, BTL and all the levels after that.

You might not have time available to do everything every single day - so draw up a work program for yourself so that you can spend quality time on each activity. Get into the routine to work on specific activities on specific days. Routine and repetition is going to make a difference.

Part of your daily routine - every single day, is to change those red tabs to green and absorb information from them - that way you learn a little more every single day.

Another activity you need to do that can not always be a routine is personal support and guidance to your affiliates. Your weekly newsletter to your team would typically be on a Sunday but sending e-cards, answering individual affiliates questions, welcoming new recruits you will do as soon as they come up - acknowledge your affiliates always as soon as possible.

Other activities you need to do:

Advertising to recruit
Advertising to make sales
Read to learn - try to learn something new about the business as often as possible but even one new lesson a week is worth more than ignoring the treasure test of knowledge up for grabs.
Spend extra time at the forum - it is amazing how much you learn just reading some of the posts. You can take part in conversations if you have a contribution to make but if you just read and learn from others it is also ok.

Surf the net - not to find another business, but to find ideas and tips you can use. This can be very helpful especially if you do not have a lot of experience.

When I started 2 years ago I felt like a total idiot. I use to read these terms people use and I had no idea what they are talking about - not only because I lacked experience but also because English is not my first language. SFI was very humbling for me - I thought I was proficient in English and not too bad using a computer - but what I knew was not what I needed to know to build my business. I started googling these terms and made my own dictionary. I also looked up the meaning of English words I did not understand - that activity matters today, don't you think?

Play games - for the VP, the chance to win whatever you can win and simply because it is fun.

We always have to conduct ourselves in a professional businesslike manner but when we deal with ECA's I think it is even more important.

You have to convince these guys that joining TripleClicks makes good business sense. You have to make sure they take you seriously.

If you want to approach them via e-mail you can use the Gateway but your e-mail should be professional and give them a reason to click on that Gateway link. You can give them a point by point summary what it is about.

I prefer a more personal approach.

First make a formal appointment with an ECA.
Dress for success - shorts and flip flops are not going to make a good impression.
Put a professional presentation together to present to them (in a folder, printed and bound and that they can keep to look at after the meeting) Do not give it to them before the presentation - if they look at it while you are presenting your proposal they will not listen to what you have to say because they will be distracted.

Show them numbers and graphs and tables if you can. Business people look at the bottom line - the numbers will convince them - not a fairytale of promises.

Some of the selling points are:

The number of years Carson Services are in business.
The number of years SFI is in business.
The number of countries represented - which makes it global. Joining TripleClicks is the most amazing and most cost effective way to have a global market.
They pay nothing if they do not have sales. They only pay commissions on sales
They have thousands of affiliates marketing and promoting them and their business for free.
Testimonials can help a lot to "sell" the concept. Just do not give them all the testimonials you can find - it may have the opposite effect - that you might be trying too hard.

I am sure if you think about it you can come up with a lot more selling points and even some numbers of sales.

You can't get them to respond if they do not want to.

If they are not active they are not going to respond and if they are active it is already a response. A response is not always an answer to your messages or mails - it can simply be the fact that they are active.

What you can do is to be the best sponsor you can possibly be and give them every opportunity and way to respond to you and to become active or if they are active to ask for your help should they need it.

Keep on encouraging even if you do not get the desired response - maybe after a while they will start responding.

I think we all have to deal with that feeling that you are communicating with yourself or wondering if you are wasting your time trying to reach them. Maybe you wonder if they are even receiving your newsletters or reading them. Don't let that get to you - if you do your best it is good enough - it is them that is failing themselves - you are not failing as a leader.

When you have a share or buy into a S-Builder Co-op you are giving yourself a better chance of building a strong team.

Keep in mind, you might get 20 sign-ups in a month but I find the majority of them sign up and that is where they stop. You might get lucky and find all your new sign-ups are active and working every day. I guess it is a case of beating the odds. It does not sound like it is worth it - right? It is worth it - and this is why I say that. If you do not advertise and you do not buy into a co-op and you already recruited amongst your friends and family, how many sign-ups are you going to get? That suddenly makes the odds 0 to 1 million. You will get no sign ups and that means no team.

Now you signed up and bought into a co-op. You get say 20 sign-ups. Even if only one of those sign-ups actually works you are still in a better position than somebody with no sign-ups.

The important thing you need to do with affiliates you recruit, whether it is through other channels or a co-op, is support training and guiding. You can't think that they are signed up so your job is done, you have to be actively busy keeping them and helping them to duplicate your actions - and in doing so help them to achieve success and helping yourself to be more successful.

So the only way to build a profitable business by using S-Builder is to help and support.

Putting people off is very easy. In an Ideal world you would know each and every affiliate very well and would know how to approach him or her - but that is not always possible.

People are so different and the things they like or dislike so different that it is better to follow a "save" strategy.

If you want to putt me off anything try to sugar coat it. I am about the bottom line. Give me facts and then leave me alone to process it and come to a decision. If you say too much and try to make it sound like something I can not live without you are going to loose my trust and a sale. I am one of those people that believes if it sounds too good to be true it probably is and I will step back and not buy into it. Short and to the point factual information will give you a better chance to sell it to me.

At the same time I have a friend that is what I call a salesperson's dream - she loves tiny details and an emotional buyer - sugar coat and portray heaven or a necessity to her and she will bankrupt herself to get it.

My safe way is to give the advantages to my team members and trust them to see how it can be good for them and make their own decision.

In my opinion you have to capture the reader's attention first time he sees an advertisement or first time he lands on your page - 2nd chances to impress and grab his attention does not come around very often.

A great SFI Squeeze Page would be one that does just that - grab attention.

What grabs people's attention?

Bold colours

Beautiful and interesting photo's and pictures

an "Easy Read" - in other words, an easy to read font in bold letters is more effective than fancy difficult to read lettering / font

Strong and to the point text - nobody wants to read an essay.

The best bullet points would be words that makes SFI attractive to join

Signing Bonus
Accredited Business
Any numbers you want to include - like how many years SFI is in business, how many countries, how many affiliates (you find these numbers in just about every SFI newsletter)
2nd income / retirement fund
financial independence

Think about what you like, what grabbed your attention, what made you sign up? If it worked for you it will work for others too.

To tell you to invest in a Standing Order to qualify as EA is only part of the answer to your question.
I don't think anybody can tell you HOW MUCH to invest - you will know what your budget is.
The question is where you invest what you have.

If you want to start making money soon you need to invest in other things too.

You should invest in adverts to sell products - one way to make an income
You should invest in adverts to recruit a team - you need a team if you ever want to be a Bronze and up team leader. Achieving this is the way to earn commissions and residual income from your team's efforts.
An investment in your movers might be the best investment you can make. Help them to grow and make progress in their own business and you will benefit from it too.

So in short - this is what I recommend

Standing Order
Advertisements - product sales and a team
Help your team

The state of my country's economics is one of the biggest reasons I am hanging in there. It makes it a little bit more difficult because I can not afford to spend money but I can spend my time and effort to work on making a success of my SFI business.

Encourage your affiliates to keep in mind why they joined SFI in the 1st place. Most of us here is here because we are either unemployed or employed but we do not earn enough to make it through a month - saving is a foreign concept in a situation like this.

Knowing that my country is in serious trouble financially I am concentrating my efforts to generate sales globally and my recruitment efforts in countries with high unemployment rates.

Countries that uses the USA$ or the EURO and the pound are doing better than most other countries. Keep in mind - the world is in crisis - some just more than others. Doing something to improve your own situation is the wisest thing to do - not so? Why would you want to stop? Even the small chance you have to make money without investing your own money is a bigger chance than doing nothing.

Remind them of these things - they will think and make their own conclusions.

If you are here and asking the question you are doing a lot better than many many affiliates. They signed up and then never came back. Remind yourself of that and take your self-esteem up a notch or two. Give yourself a pat on the back for doing it.

Remind yourself about everything you did well in the past, the things you are good at - self-esteem boosters. More importantly - you have to recognise your good qualities and use and enhance them. Appreciate yourself. Work on the things you are not good at and improve them.

Experience is something you can only gain by actually doing the things you need to learn. You learn as you earn. Whatever you learn you teach your team. Don't forget most of them have as little experience as you.

Do not be scared to try something new. Face your fears and conquer it. You will grow as a person as you grow your business.

SFI gives us many tips on how to be an awesome sponsor. I am not going to give you links to go and read but I will suggest you go and look at them anyway.

Your newsletter is very important. You can use it to train your affiliates and you can use it to motivate and inspire. It is also a good place to tell them about all the fabulous new things at SFI because they might've missed the official newsletters.

You also have to keep an eye open for opportunities to send personal mails or e-cards. It basically boils down to you caring about your team and taking time to make them see that they actually matter to you.

Leading by example is also a good thing. Put your money where your mouth is - do not expect them to do something you are not willing to do.
