I don't think one can say you have to start making money in a day, a week, a month or even a year.

Your situation, experience, time spent on building your business and even your finances will have an influence.

If you are fortunate enough to have a budget to spend on your business you will have an advantage over somebody with no money to spend. How you spend that money of course can also make a big difference. Personally I would concentrate on 2 things: Sales and developing 5 great hardworking PSA's. Having even a little experience will also not hurt,

Time is also a factor. If you are retired or unemployed you (hopefully) have more time to spend on developing and building your business. If you are employed fulltime and you have limited time available you have to go for quality time - make every minute you have to spend on building your business count.

I think one should be realistic. If you expect too much of yourself and you fail it will bring you down, Expect too little and you will not push yourself. You know yourself, you know your situation - be honest with yourself and set realistic goals for yourself, goals that is not too easy to reach but also not so high and far out that it is impossible to reach.

Keep in mind that a normal business takes about 2 years to actually start showing profits. Just because your SFI business is online and not in a brick building it is still a real business.

It is great if a family can work together and build a business together.

According to SFI rules you can not sign up a family member that lives in the same house as you - like your wife for example but there is nothing stopping you from signing up your family members that does not live with you - like your siblings and cousins and even grown up children.

I believe you are in a partnership with your team - up and down line. You need your upline to teach and guide you and you need to do the same with your downline. Why? Because if they succeed so do you and so does your sponsor and up. Unfortunately the opposite is also true. Failure also tends to run up and down a line. If you sign up your family you sign up partners - with one big difference - you can comminicate in ways that you can't really do with a stranger from a different country and most probably give each other a kick when needed.

You can also have your inhouse family as your partners - working the same account. You can for example take turns to log in. Or maybe you log in most of the time but your wife or son or daughter knows your password and plan for the business and they can step in and work when you are sick or away or for whatever reason you can not log in.

You can also share the responsibilities - for example: you have a little experience with advertising - so you do all the advertising and marketing and another family member earn the VP by doing the daily tasks. You can also invest your money in the business and share the profits.

I can tell you this much - if I had a partner to handle the marketing and advertising I would be very happy to hand it over - I do it and I learn more about it - but I do not have that mich time to spend on doing it so my business is not growing as fast as I would like it to. Fortunately I am positive, optimistic and I don't give up because it is hard. Eventually I will get there. As for you, if you can find ways to get your family involved - go for it.

I use my weekly letters to my team - I make sure that I include the link to the latest newsletters. I try to peak their curiosity so that they will want to go and read the rest of the news.

I made them aware that reading the newsletters they have the chance to play Spin n Win at least once and up to three times a month. If they miss that part because they did not read the newsletter, they lost a price that could've been theirs. I tell them I won 5 or 10 VP (or whatever quantity) in the last Spin and Win.

Sometimes I would mention in my Streampost that SFI shared exciting news in their latest newsletter

We have to be excited and enthusiastic about SFI and TripleClicks trying to get our affiliates equally excited and enthusiastic.

Your first avenue would be Word of Mouth - in other words tell people about the products. Choose products you can get excited about. For example: You advertise a dress - if it is a dress that you love and would love to have you will be able to convince others that it is something to look at. If you actually buy the dress and wear it, it is even better. When somebody compliments you that is your opening to tell them about this online store and all the great dresses they have. Would you be able to sell that dress if you would not be seen dead in it?

Next you can use online advertising sites - paid or free.

You can advertise in magazines, newspapers, pamphlets - basically any printed media.

Your own website or blog is free advertising - you need to make posts that will bring traffic to your site - and when they are there they will most likely click on your advertisements and hopefully find something to tickle their fancy.

Try to think out of the box and advertise in a way and in a place where you would not normally find advertisements.

If you want to go big - how about billboards?

The secret is, you have to believe in what you are selling if you want success.

I have to admit, I have not found that secret weapon yet.

When I receive a new PSA or CSA I send an e-card as soon as possible and follow it up with a mail to introduce myself in more detail.

Sometimes I am lucky and the new affiliate is online - so I chat with them (if they see my message and they know how to use Chat)

While I chat with them I ask them if they need help and with what. I then make a point addressing their difficulties via e-mail - this is also a good way to verify their e-mail address.

If I do not have the opportunity to chat I look at their profile to see how far they came and I send them a mail with recommendations what to do next - I give them step by step instructions as easy to follow as possible

If they listed a language other than English as their language I make them aware of the translate tool in case they have difficulty understanding the English instructions.

I had some success but unfortunately the majority never react now matter what I do.

I am using a free blog. Initially I got no hits and I was starting to think I am wasting my time. Then I changed my strategy and I started using Traffic exchanges to lead people to my blog - I had more hits in the 1st 2 weeks than during the whole of 2015 together.

Now imagine what can happen if you have a paid blog or website! You should get twice as much traffic as my free blog.

However, whether you have a paid or a free site or blog you need to have the right search terms to take the traffic to your site before taking it to any other site. It is called Search Engine Optimization. You can read up on it and do it yourself or you can get a professional to do it for you.

Take a look at what is trending on sites like Twitter and try to use that to get your site noticed. What you want and need is attention - make sure you get it by optimizing your site. When people land on your site they need to be intrigued and curious to see more. Make every post you place count,

What do you need when you join SFI at first?

You need a team first.- your team is your life line. To get a team you can advertise or you can buy them or buy shares in a co-op.

Just as important is sales. Sales bring in money that you can use to build your team even stronger and once you earn you can stop using your own money to build your business and rather use your earnings.

When you have a team you can use a share of your budget to help your affiliates to grow and a little less to keep on getting more affiliates and more sales.

You also need to buy T-credits so you can play games and bid on auctions. Using T-credits also earn more VP

A standing order for T-credits is a good investment to make sure you qualify as EA every month

Once you have an established team you can do transfer buying and spend some money on things you would buy on a monthly basis or special gifts - that way you earn VP and commissions as well..

You are right to be concerned about this. It is possible that they would feel unwanted if they are re-assigned.

When I re-assign my PSA's I send them a message to tell them that I re-assigned them and the reason why - I re-assign according to language in the hope that they will become active if they can communicate in their own language.

I also send a message to the new sponsor to inform them about their new PSA's and also that they should try to communicate with that person in their own language as soon as possible.

When I receive a new PSA from my sponsor I react as soon as I am notified that they were re-assigned to me.

I greet them via e-card and make it clear that I am absolutely delighted to have them. After that I follow the same plan as with my other PSA's.

We are often just one idea away from the breakthrough we have been looking for.


People are busy and their attention has never been in more demand. Keep your marketing messages as short and valuable as possible.

Be specific and loose the "unimportant stuff" . Stick to the facts.

Do at least one thing each day, which you will be glad you did in the future.

Remind yourself that the process of giving and receiving starts with giving. Do not make selfish demands from strangers, it doesn’t work. It also damages your reputation.

If you fail more often than you did in before it means you are growing and learning what works and what does not work. If you do not fail it means you are sticking to things you already know. This means you are no longer growing.
This is why Steve Jobs famously reprimanded members of his team, if they were not failing regularly enough.

Stop trying to be perfect, it will stop you getting started, and kill your creativity and block your progress. Perfectionism is not to blame for your lack of progress, you are just using it as a stalling tactic.

You need to have a business strategy. If you are stuck - get help from an expert.

Get serious about the value of your time. No one ever lay on their deathbed, regretting they hadn’t spent more time watching TV. Throughout the day, ask yourself, is this the best use of my time right now? If it isn’t, go and do something more productive.

Move out of your comfort zone and start doing the more difficult or tricky things. If you do not break free from your comfort zone you are held back by the restraints and limits in that zone.

Think outside the box and let that creative freak inside you loose, believe that almost anything is possible and it can and will happen. Even if things are bad right now you have to dig deep and find the courage and passion and work hard - if your mind can conceive it you can achieve it.
Learn to embrace your inner freak. This may be the best advice on this list.

Build and earn a great reputation as a businessman / woman that delivers on their promises.Deliver on your promises or over-deliver if it is possible.

Your aim is to attract affiliates and to attract buyers - when you attract them you also attract money.
