I equate a situation like this, where someone is doing online affiliate marketing and doesn't want to use any online social media tools, to trying to crawl across a room without using one's legs. Yes, it can be done, but it's much more work and more of a drag. If they absolutely insist upon it, there are always the X-Cards that they can use to popularize and promote the W3 program... but maybe it's just the wrong program for them. Maybe they're better off running an ECA store or concentrating on another of the many ways to achieve through SFI.

"The best habits to develop" are the ones you have not developed yet, from among the following list:

* Communication--You must communicate clearly to promote effectively and to teach your affiliates.

* Consistency--This applies to your promotion process as much as your Daily Actions. Only a continually-applied force creates acceleration.

* Creativity--Creativity allows you to develop new techniques of promotion, sales, and communication.

* Perception--You must learn to see new opportunities for what they are, listen to your affiliates in order to better teach and motivate them, and notice problems so that you can correct them.

* Discernment--Discernment allows you to spot lies, flaws, and inaccuracies in communication, creativity, and perception.

There are likely many more, but you can only write about the ones you notice.

With as broad a question as "How could I promote SFI with a video?" it's hard to know how to answer it.

* There's the technical answer: Get yourself a video camera or web-cam and record yourself speaking about SFI, use presentation software like PowerPoint or one of the many free types of software available, and upload it to a place to host (like YouTube or any other platform).

* There's the content-driven answer: Devise an outline for each element of SFI you wish to promote, and write a presentation based on that. You can focus on the affiliate-recruitment aspects, the compensation aspects, the great values at TripleClicks, and each will draw a different type of affiliate.

* Finally, there's the aspect of getting your video seen: You can embed your video in a blog site, add it to a magnet page, distribute it on data CD, VCD, or DVD, or just host it on a platform like YouTube and drive prospects to it that way. Each of these will net you a different sort of affiliate.

Honestly, answering a question this broad could be made into a great e-book because there are so many aspects to cover--heck, you could even include a sample video in the e-book itself. Please, ask some more specific follow-up questions so we can help you better!

Let's start with the obvious facts: When you purchase from TripleClicks, you earn Sales VP that will increase your rank each month, you earn Member Rewards Points that can be saved and used for purchases (This is how I got my first Gold Panda coin!), and, of course, you also get the product itself. I frequently talk about the products I personally use, like the Supreme Whey Protein, and there are more great products to choose from. There are two main types of buying common to affiliates: desire buying and transfer buying.

Desire buying focuses on products that the affiliate wants, whether they're SFI-related products, ECA-listed products, or member-listed products. If you have conversations with your affiliates, you can learn their desires and point them to products they will like. Put simply, learn what they want, and then show them how to get it.

Transfer buying focuses on products that the affiliate gets anyway, from detergent to nutritional supplements to books to food. For these, it's simply a question of pointing out, "Well, if you're running low on something at home, just buy more at TripleClicks--you'll get a great product and boost your power rank besides!" Again, you can make this process easier by finding out what they use regularly around the house. Learn what they need, and then show them how to get it.

You can do many things besides the daily actions (and weekly actions, and monthly actions...) on your To-Do List, all of which have their purposes in promoting SFI and TripleClicks. These are some of the ones I use:

1) Recruit PSAs and train them. Your long-term success of your SFI business comes from having a healthy downline of active affiliates because they are the source of your residual income. Recruiting methods are as varied as the people here, ranging from blogging to classified ads to distributing fliers throughout your neighborhood.

2) Build an ECA Store and promote it. Whether you're selling products you make yourself or list as a drop-shipper, TripleClicks provides a great sales platform because you have access to many other connections who can help drive people to your store. Promotions, again, are as varied as the people here at SFI.

3) Promote TripleClicks itself. Building the TripleClicks customer base provides residual income with commissions from every sale, which means that over the long term, you build a stronger income with less work, as long as your shoppers continue coming back. Promotions at this level work much like they do in (2), above.

Specific strategies have been addressed in others' questions, from driving traffic directly to URLs to placing classified ads to e-mail safelists and beyond. I'm sure that with time, you'll find your own favorites.

I think that you might be better off thinking of TCredits and S-Builder Co-op as "tools in your box" rather than as investments. TCredits are more flexible to use, whether for purchases, auctions, downloads or placing your own member listings. S-Builder Co-op shares, by comparison, have only one purpose: to be a source for recruited PSAs. TCredits have more short-term uses, while S-Builder can provide a long-term stream of PSAs flowing into your downline. What are you looking to do? This will determine how many TCredits or shares of S-Builder that you want to buy at any given time.

I've experimented with each, and honestly, so far, it's a trade-off:

S-Builder has perhaps a slight advantage in the way that they target new prospects, but you never know how many you're going to get (estimates show from four to ten) or how quickly you will get yours--it's a huge co-op over a wide array of media, and unlike PSAs To Go, it's not outsourced to a third party, which means that the quality of your affiliates may prove somewhat better because they're being generated by a campaign created by people who understand SFI.

PSAs To Go generate a fixed number of affiliates and typically generate them faster, but, as noted earlier, the process of generating them is outsourced to a third party. I couldn't tell you who generates them or how, and as a result, the quality of those who sign up may be somewhat less. It's hard to tell.

To be honest, I've gotten more responsiveness from PSAs generated by S-Builder--nothing truly outstanding as yet, but I've added a share to my Standing Order as a result. Your experience may vary.

The first question I would have is, "What business strategy are you using?" That can determine where to best spend your TCredits. If you're just placing member listings as opposed to running an ECA store, for example, spending them to place member listings is the most obvious option. You can also use them to win Pricebenders auctions, and then sell the products you win, whether as your own listing or on another site, if you're interested in that. At least some of my TCredits tend to go to my movers and my new PSAs and CSAs in order to keep the lines of communications more open and friendly.

I don't think there's one "most valuable thing," however--mixed use provides the best strategy.

If you want your downline members to participate in Pricebenders auctions, you would have to know what types of product they would even *want* in one--you won't find a person bidding on something they don't want, let alone spending, potentially, hours just to win one of them. You would also have to encourage them to purchase all the TCredits it takes to win them. Personally, it seems as if there are better actions to convince your downline members to do, like buying products from ECAs and reviewing them--at least then, they know they're getting products they want, earning Sales VP, and then earning Action VP when they write the reviews.

I'm going to tackle this question from a different angle and discuss the topic behind all success here: conversion. "Conversion" in this sense means converting a person from being uninvolved with SFI and TripleClicks, to becoming an active affiliate, an active ECA store, or a regular customer. From a practical standpoint, what matters most is getting commissions and bonuses into your wallet, right?

When you're doing this on a more personal level, you have, obviously, a smaller market, and the people take up more of your time, but it's also likely that you'll have more fun talking to those people, you'll know how to directly engage them, and you'll know how to best convert them into one of the three roles I mentioned. You'll also have an easier time staying in touch with them, which means you might be able to rely on them following through and remaining active. This is my favorite path, personally, because it means I get to have fun with my friends, introduce them to products and programs, and it feels easy and not like work.

The global internet market has the advantage of being HUGE, and the bigger the slice of this market you get, the more commissions you earn. In this case, though, you pretty much have to automate your way of reaching these people, whether through advertising, through blogging, or through e-mailing to those willing to opt in to your e-mail process. In a real sense, this is where people talk about internet marketing as being a "numbers game." After all, if you're only getting 1% conversion, but you're getting your message out to a million people, that's 10,000 people generating income for you! In truth, though, most of the time, you're not getting a million people--you're usually looking at a thousand at a time, which means converting ten at a time, which can be nice... as long as they remain active. This can also cost more in terms of time, money and effort, so you have to think about that, too.

Both of these strategies have their place, and in the end, it's up to you to figure out which is going to fit the way you work, where you are financially, and what your skill level with marketing. As you get better at internet marketing, that may prove profitable, but it's not for everyone; one of my best friends always says, "Success is just a finite number of conversations away." As you might guess, she prefers relationship marketing over internet marketing every time.
