I think every auction is going to be different, so it is impossible to give "the" magic answer. The beauty of a micro auction is that it gives junior bidders a chance to get their feet wet. They can observe bidding and give it a try. They will probably discover that certain strategies work better than others in different auction scenarios.

I recently won a micro auction. The strategy that I used was basically be willing to bid more than others would think the victory was worth. I did not bide my time, observe, or try to be frugal in my TCredit usage. I turned on the Bid Assist and let it do its thing. There were a few other bidders at first, but when I was bidding more in TCredits than the prize's retail value others stopped bidding. I then won the auction in about eleven minutes.

Did I get something for nothing? No, but I won. I got a prize that I could not buy elsewhere. And, honestly it was fun! Would I try that same tactic in a regular auction? Probably not at the beginning of the auction unless there were not very many bidders.

I recommend stocking up on TCredits and then giving it a try. I learned so much in that auction; however I am sure that in a different auction I could learn more about being conservative and winning a good deal. When you come to terms with the idea that you will win some and you will lose some, it makes jumping in a whole lot easier.

Just like with the other auctions - do not jump in blindly and start bidding.

Take the time to watch what is happening during these auctions. Sit there and watch it as it is happening. You will soon see a pattern. Who is bidding all the time? How long do they wait before outbidding the previous bidder? What happens with the bidders? Do they fall out, keep on bidding until they win?

Go and look at the results of previous auctions for that specific product - how much did it go for?
What time of the day was it?

Before you bid you need to go and look what you would pay if you buy it. Your winning bid needs to be less than the selling price - it is about getting a bargain - not about beating another person.

You have to decide how many T-credits you are willing to spend and make sure you have enough T-credits to bid. Imagine loosing an auction because you were 1 T-credit short!! The value of the T-credits you spend bidding added to the price you win the bid on can not exceed the selling price - if it does you won nothing.

Do not bid on something you do not want or need - pick your fights. If you win the auction you have to be happy about it - not sit there and wonder: OK, now I've won, what now? what do I do with it now? It is like a small dog chasing a bus - what is he going to do with the bus if he actually catches it?

If you are bidding on an auction and you see another bidder bidding you might recognize the name and know that this bidder won before at a higher price as what you are willing to pay - bow out and wait for the next one. It will save you frustration and valuable T-credits.

Winning one of the "new Micro auctions" is like any other worthy goal: it requires determination, self confidence and an ardent desire to win. In addition you need to be fully prepared: have an adequate amount of Tcredits, and do your home work.

All the above is relatively easy. Your competitors are as inexperienced in Pricebenders penny auctions as you are. We know that the "Micro auctions are for beginners. Many of them are still to experience their first win. Very likely, these auctions should not last too long as the offered items are of low monetary value.

If you keep that in mind, you will come to the "Micro auction" knowing that none of your competitors has a significant advantage over you. That should help you stay calm, composed and in control: the state of mind needed to win.

Obviously, one should not realistically expect to win at their first attempt. It would be a good idea to prepare yourself by observing the auctions in two or three occasions, at different times of the day, take few notes about the bidders and their strategies as well as the winning prices.

The collected information will help you build an entry and exit strategy: when will be the best time to join the auction and start bidding, and when to stop, exit the auction and cut off your loses. Indeed, you should enter an auction with both the determination to win as well as the knowledge, in the back of your mind. that you may also not win. You are not losing, though, as you will earn Action VersaPoints, MRPs and the opportunity to Spin and Win affiliates.

With all the above in mind, again make sure you have enough Tcredits and, in the course of your bidding, get ready to buy more if you think it will help you win.

As the question is very simple so is its answer. The Micro auctions are basically meant for new comers, but they can be won by anyone, who wishes to pay more than the last bidding price.

Not withstanding the above, one can easily win them using the following strategies:

1. Observe them every day. Keep a watch when they start.

2. Open the bid log to see how many members are bidding, if more members are bidding you should stay away from bidding.

3. Have a look at them occasionally to ascertain how many members are still bidding.

4. The best time to enter the Micro auction is towards the end when the timer is resetting at 10 seconds.

5. Using the above strategies you can win a Micro auction easily with low budget,

6. But if you have extra credits to spend, you can win any time irrespective of the competition

First and formost, micro auctions are specifically designed for new and inexperienced bidders for them to have a feel of what the pricebenders is all about and have the feel of winning at the auctions with limited number of t-credits.  

This has been a tremendous effort by SFI to increase the number of winners there by having a positive impact on the Tripleclicks Executive Pool. Because these auctions are for very small quantities (as little as just ONE CSA, for example), they will usually be won for a very small number of bids and will typically have much shorter durations, too. Also, these auctions are restricted to bidders who have won 9 auctions or less which is also JUNIOR auctions.

From experience, micro auction ends in about 30 mins on average. So, you don't have to spend a lot of time. Wait for the auction to reach a point when only two bidders are bidding in the auction. This can be viewed via the bid log which is displayed on the right hand side .Now wait for the timer to countdown till 0:00 then bid after it displays "going twice".    

Similarly, there might be other affiliates that would want to use the same tactics to win in a micro auction, however, the chances of winning in this way are high due to low actual cost of auction items. Or if you have enough TCredits then keep bidding till you win.  

But you would try and avoid bids that are going beyond the actual  cost for that item as it doesn't make sense purchasing an item that is above the cost price. In order words avoid bidding wars as it might not favour you at the long run.

Advantage with the auctions is that you get credited with mrps where 1 t credit is spent as well as getting the opportunity to get 10%-100% full psa In the bid and build where for each 10 bid placed, you have the opportunity of spinning for psas.

In summary, strategize, study the auctions and you would stand the chance of winning the auctions.

One of the newest auctions to come onto the scene is the Micro auctions. These auctions offer very small items such as only 10 TCredits, 3 PSAs 5 CSAs and so forth. These small auctions are only available to those who have won 9 or less auctions.

With small items to bid on the time to finish an auction will be shorter and the money to redeem the product that was auctioned will cost less. This gives a fair chance to those who have not yet won more than 9 auctions.

If I were to tell someone how I have won the Junior (less than 9 wins) auctions it would do them no good. The reason I say that is every person is different. What works for me may not be what works for you or anyone else.

I can say that with a little practice at playing the auctions you will begin to see how and when to place your bids. You need to set a budget for what you are willing to spend for the item that is being auctioned, and then stick to your budget.

The main point needed to learn is to try and win the auction with as little TCredits as you can and to do that means learning “when” to place your bids. If you can learn the critical time for placing bids then you will be able to win many auctions.

If you are only spending TCredits that you can afford to lose you are still gaining something with each bid you make. 5 or 10 MRPs (Member Reward Points) you also gain 1 action VP with each bid and you gain one spin on the bid and build wheel to gain PSAs. (Personally Sponsored Affiliates).

Remember the auctions are FUN and challenging. There is a learning curve you must go through so get ready to lose a couple auctions so you will learn quickly on what not to do again.

As a first-time bidder I won twice in one night so I'm excited to share my strategy.

1. Make sure to set a price range of the min/max TCredits/Cash I am willing to spend.
2. Look for the an auction that shows the "Under Performer" tag.
3. I bid as soon as I get on to see how much competition is out there.
"you will notice the price goes up if you are outbid, note that each $0.01 added to the bid represents 1 competitor."
4. After determining how many persons/ bidders I then wait and bid only when the price says "Going Twice". Note: This is risky as you have to pay keen attention to the bid. You will loose if you wait too long to bid.

This simple 4 step strategy won me 35 CSA's and 2 PSA's!

Winning Micro auctions strategies are similar to winning normal auctions with some peculiarities. Remember that Micro auctions are mostly for junior or inexperienced bidders and the value of items are usually small which naturally reduce the "bidding war" common with high prized items.

These tips would help you to win and with fewer bids:

1. Determine the time of the day when there are few bidders available at PriceBenders auctions. You can get this by checking the Latest Winners list of previous days and see when the least bids were placed on items.
2. Ensure that you have the time to spend on your system without distractions.
3. Don't bid in the early times when you observe many people are bidding.
4. Check the bid log and know the consistent bidders.
5. Watch out when they fade away from the Bid log or are no longer consistent.
6. Wait until the counters is dragging until the last 10 seconds before anybody bids and know it's time to come in.
7. Observe the persistence of the bidders or just anybody just bidding haphazardly.
8. Jump into the bid when you discover there is a lull in bidding and establish yourself.
9. Determine how much TCredits you can afford to "loose" without regretting. Don't engage in "bidding war" with anybody mindlessly. Imagine spending 20 TCredits to get 10 TCredits?
10. Do not quit when you see you are almost winning.

Winning at the auctions is dicey but not unachievable. In micro auction like the other auctions require a bit of preparations, planning and execution.
The preparatory stages is getting to know all you need to know about the auctions vis a vis, the rules, the tips and watching the auction in process as a spectator through the bid log. When you're satisfied with this stage, then move to the planning stage:

The planning stages will require stocking up your arsenals of tcredits, the right time to start bidding. From the preparatory stages, you must have noted the peak and wane periods, that is, time that most affiliates are engaged in the bidding process and the time that less affiliates are involved. This will enhance your chances of winning.

The next process is the execution. With knowledge, arsenals of tcredits and timing in place, then go for the prize!
Watch carefully until the bid slows down like going, going...., then start placing your bids and be aggressive now.
