Remember and recognize important events to them, such as the day they joined SFI, their birthday, their SFI accomplishments, their ideas or whatever you can conjure up to make a communication that has some value to them. Send frequent E-Cards, or pictures you think they would enjoy that lets them know a little more about you.
Teach them through your weekly letters noticing their accomplishments, honoring them for what they are doing, and thanking them for being on your team.

Collaboration means that you two are working together for the good of both of you as partners instead of sponsor and downline. Both of you have the same goals in SFI, and just become one of you is progressing faster than the other isn't important. What is important is that you work together, exchange strategies that work for each of you and build on that. Together you will progress much better than alone.

SFI is a great company with lots of potential and it is up to us to build on what the company has to offer.

3. Encourage purchasing what you need from SFI where ever possible. The perks often make up for the extra cost of shipping. Encourage everyone to look to the people in their own country for the best bargains.

4. Advertise in every way you can, sometimes it takes a lot to find what works, and this is the focus that will improve your business.

5. Last but not least, is to log in daily, read the forum for the information there, and do the daily items in red for the VP. VP is the gasoline that drives SFI the engine we are all working with.

Remember SFI is only as good as the people who are working the program, and the more we do, the more SFI management is able to do to help us earn the income we desire.

This great program is worth the effort it takes and will support us for years to come.

The best way to use a coop is as an incentive to get your downline active. Design a monthly contest where you offer shares to those who complete their EA designation or whatever you are trying to promote for the month. Then put the winner in for that month. You can remove them the next month if you want.

Offer shares for a percentage of the cost if you want, but I've found it hard to get participation when I charge, but I do get more activity when I offer it as a contest.

The cost of giving out shares free is small compared to the benefit you get if an individual is keeping their EA.

A coop works great even if you can only afford 1 Sbuilder unit. You can send the weekly letters and other mail to anyone who joins in any level. If you have a member that isn't to keen about sending welcome letters, you can for them. You can also include any downline level in your coop and other activities.

The question isn't which is more beneficial, the benefits of having both are the best way to go. Limiting yourself to one or the other is wasting a great resource.

1. You need to do both for maximum profit and VP's.
2. Referring ECA's is permanent - they are your ECA for life. Two or three good ECA's can make you more money than any other action in SFI. Plus the 100 VP you get for each ECA each month.
3. Setting up your own ECA provides you with experience to help others become great ECA members.
4. How do you get an ECA? Small and medium business people are great targets. Members of your SFI group that make crafts they want to sell. Stores that sell unusual items that are peculiar to your country do well as an ECA. Friends and people you know who sell on EBAY, Amazon and other web stores make good ECA members. They can transfer their products to SFI in bulk. Check websites from your country and approach those members to use ECA also.

If the individual has offline means of working the system, such as building a group in the home area, the individual could work that way and build a group up enough to improve the internet access. This works if the individual had the income to purchase an SO every month. That way they would not have to be working the daily items to get the VP needed to work offline with the home town members.

It is also important to continue to encourage your other members because you may have missed a good one and didn't target them to be a PTL, and hence gave them less encouragement or validation.

A team is a group of people working for a single cause. To pick and choose among them, causes a potential mindset that someone isn't as valuable to the team than some others.
When you have identified your potential 5 PTL's. keep in mind that you might actually have many more so you treat them all with the same amount of help. Also this saves you from being disappointed or letting down your team if something happens to your choices.

There has been a debate raging for some time about how to get serious participants to any type of business. The debate is about whether people respond more seriously when they put in money, or when it is free, Of course when you advertise free more people will join simply out of curiosity. Charging something to join has more committed members because they have a financial interest in the success. Even charging large sums of money attracts some people. Especially those who believe you need to spend money to make money.

To attract serious people, you might advertise the cost of earning EA every month instead of advertising free. For instance you might say,

Would you like to own your own business?
Mentoring, training and Executive status for $36.25 per month.
So much for so little, Join Today!

If you advertised this way, you would have to choose a gateway that doesn't emphasis the free aspect. People then joining would be invested in the company from the start. You would get fewer responses, but the ones who do respond will have more incentive to be active.

At lease this is the reason people charge upfront to join. I have paid $400 and more to join programs when I had the money to do so, and none of them paid me back as much as I paid in. I have worked the free aspect of SFI for several years, most of the time I have been able to generate SFI earnings enough to pay for its expenses.

Which is better depends on your motivation for setting up a new business. Your answer to why you want the business and how it will fit into the rest of your plans will let you know which is better. Study the differences and see which will be best for you. Here are some comparisons.

Convenience:
Traditional business requires that you leave your home, and open a business every day. Miss one day and your business suffers greatly.

SFI members work from wherever they happen to be as long as they have the equipment with them.

Equipment:
Traditional businesses require a place for the business equipped with the tools you need to run the business.

SFI requires an internet connection and computer, laptop, or some other way to access the program.

Training:
Traditional businesses require extensive training in many areas such as accounting, advertising, hiring employees, and education in how to do whatever you set the business up to accomplishment

SFI trains you in any area of internet marketing where you want to be involved. You have to develop a downline, but the training, inspiration, and every tool you need is easily found in SFI's library of information.

Employees:
Traditional businesses depend on having great employees, and finding great ones to hire can be both expensive and time consuming.Many employees don't reach the potential they appeared to have when hired and have to be trained, coddled or fired. All of this can be very expensive in both salaries and government fees.

SFI depends on your downline. Even though 90% of them don't do the job required you don't have near the expense, time, effort or personal investment in maintaining them. Building a list can be done for free if you are short of money.

Using a drop shipper can be very expensive. It is best to pick items from the more famous and well used websites that ship for free. List them on your site, marking up as needed, and when they are ordered, go to the site where you found the item and order it shipped to your customer and billed to you. The customer orders and pays for it on TC. You could put in the description that the item will be shipped by another company so that they will know when it arrives that it was their item ordered through TC.Some companies will let you be a distributor who sells their items and they will ship them directly to your customer.

You can join many sites that sell items and get a discount. Doing this requires constant monitoring of the items you have listed to see if the price has changed or is no longer available. Some of these sites charge a fee to be an associate member so that you get a discount, or require that you join a shipping group to get free shipping.

Since you are not sending the person off your TC page, but are doing it yourself, you do not break the rules of being an ECA. You can not place an item on your site where the customer has to leave your site to purchase the item or have it shipped.
