SFI is still overwhelming to me after two years of working the program. I read my WHY statement often, especially when I'm frustrated. To overcome being overwhelmed here are the steps to emphasize.

1. Develop a "WHY". Why did you sign up, what was your motivation for joining. Usually just wanting to make money isn't enough. Your why has to include more specific information.

The best way to find your WHY is to make a Tchart. Take a piece of paper, place a line across the top and divide the line down the middle to make two lists. Brainstorm by putting on one side the things you want out of life that do not include money, but where money would help.(better home, relationship with family, vacation to a specific place, be your own boss).

On the other side of the chart put what your can do to achieve these goals. Then number the items on each side in order of importance. This will help you develop motivation for the items.

From this information develop a statement you read daily to keep yourself going. I keep mine posted on the edge of the shelf above my computer monitor. It really helps to overcome frustration.

2. Do the daily items across the top in red. Click on the red, glance down the page and go to the bottom and click the blue item. Don't try to read it all or take it in just yet, you are doing these to receive VersaPoints (VP), to familiarize yourself with the daily work, and to build the habit of logging in and doing the dailies.

3. Do as much of the fast start as you can easily. Don't worry about what seems hard, it will come to you. If you can complete 500VP in 24 hours do so to gain the extra 500 VP given by SFI. Many can do this in less than an hour, but don't worry, do what you can today and every day and the points will pile up for you.

4. Read one launchpad a day. Don't try to do more. Keep yourself as comfortable as possible. It is very easy to get overwhelmed.

Read the basics everyday because they keep SFI simple. SFI is simple, but it is full of information like a school. If you go every day, do the work every day, eventually you will learn it all. Ask yourself often - where else can I go to learn how to build a business and earn while I learn. You earn doing the basics, you learn by reading the information and asking questions. Remember there are no stupid questions in SFI.

If you are thinking of doing this for your weekly 30VP, then here are my suggestions for that.
1. List your 5 or 10 that have the opportunity to make EA2, The first week talk about being sure that they get every VP they can. Check and if some of your members who are working the system don't have any PSA's then reassign someone to them. Try to match the language and country to make it easier for them to write a message. Since you will probably have to transfer inactive people tell them that this is their opportunity to practice writing weekly newsletters.

2. Spotlight your top member - usually all you have to do is say the country they are from and how long they have been with you. If you always have the same one as number 1, then go down the list. I have found that this improves the VP count of everyone.

3. Let them know that you are there and available to answer questions. At this point mention SFI message and chat system and your personal SFI email address.

4. Tell them you appreciate their efforts.

5. Write a shot paragraph about something you have noticed people are missing in their todo list. For instance mention that if they haven't put up their photo yet, that you have the instructions as to how they can do that easily and you will send it to them if they answer and request it.

It isn't enough to send just one newsletter. Sending one newsletter like the above is best for the entire group. Dividing your people into older members that know the system and sending them a letter that is more in depth such as how to advertise using a specific method. Then also send emails to your new people giving them advice on the importance of logging in daily and what it will do for them. Such as - logging in helps them develop the habit of daily working the program. They keep up with what is going on in the program, and mention the value of the forum. Many new and older people stay because of the forum and the help and encouragement they get there.

Don't stress anything to the new people that is beyond their understanding. A newsletter is good to have, but it needs to be supplemented with personal emails. Because we can do the first name thing, you can write the same email to all of those you think can benefit from a specific subject. You can even go so far as to offer a free ebook to them. Require them to request the book, don't just send it.

Newsletters as a whole need to be short, no more than 5 short paragraphs, upbeat and if you can use some humor. They should sound like you are talking to a friend and not be too business like because SFI works by building repore'.

What's best to sell is something that you can be proud to promote. Study the items you are interested in selling utilizing the following suggestions.

Does this product allow me a decent markup so that I can give TC a greater percentage for the executive pool so that the VP and DC are higher - giving others in SFI the incentive to advertise it for you.

Does it provide great quality for the price? Is it going to hold up for the buyer?

How will I be able to ship this product internationally, and will it be costly to ship because of weight?

How popular is this product? Check Google, Amazon, and Ebay to see if there are a lot of them being sold.

If I am considering several inexpensive products, can I combine them in such a way as to make a better profit?

Asking yourself these question and researching the products you are wanting to sell is more important than asking should I sell cheap or more expensive items.

Remember that it takes as much effort to advertise a cheap product with little markup as it is to promote an expensive product with greater markup, greater value and thus greater appeal.

The best people to target are those who are passionate about earning extra money or using SFI to fulfill another purpose or desire. If there were only some way to know that these are the people you are targeting. Whether a person is a homemaker or retired or is something else doesn't really matter.

When I was a homemaker, I would have loved something like SFI that I could work and earn some money. As others have mentioned the hard part is finding time, but most homemakers who are passionate would find the time even if they were working SFI in the middle of the night.

As a retired person, I find SFI to be stimulating. Also a place where I have friends that are responsive to my needs for the program. Here is a list of reasons retired people might be interested in SFI.

1. Helps them get outside themselves with something beneficial to their income and
their psychological well being.
2. Keeps their mind active doing something upbeat, informative and educational.
3. Gives them something to look forward to every day. I personally love the forum.
4. Teaches them about using the internet and broadening their knowledge of the current happenings in the world.
5. Affords them an outlet for their interests in whatever they want to do or be.
6. Just because you retire or get old doesn't decrease your passion and desire to dream big and do something with that dream.
7. Utilizes the discipline that we have spent years developing by getting up and going to work every day. Helps us maintain a healthy lifestyle.
8. SFI provides so much for anyone, regardless of your situation. Targeting retired people is no different than targeting anyone else.

From being in SFI, I have learned so much more about the people in the rest of the world. I have learned that people are the same no matter where they live. We all have much in common, in dreams, aspirations and desires for the best life for ourselves and our families.

1, Financial help - SFI advises against financial help because it can make members dependent of you.
Some minor financial help such as a $2.00 gift certificate, can be very beneficial if used as a reward for something. These go a long way toward helping someone at the end of the month make EA2.

2. Construct and run regular contests for whatever you decide will improve your business as well as theirs. These contests will keep your group active and involved. Get some ideas from SFI training.

3. No matter how long they have been in your downline, be sure and answer any questions or messages they send you. This is help that you will have to provide as long as you are their upline.

4. When someone remains with you for some time, they become someone that you can count on as part of your active group, but they still need your encouragement and mentoring. This is a great use for the Stream and you weekly newsletters.

5. SFI is a business each individual builds for themselves, so you have to be considerate of them and careful that you don't make them too dependent on you at any stage of your and their businesses. It is important to let them know new items and remind them of old news every so often because this keeps them from becoming complacent.

Every college I have been associated with has had a jobs board. Place your business opportunity there. Attend events at the university so that you have a chance to meet and talk with the students. Attend the sporting events and mingle with others afterwards and pass out gift cards, brochures and whatever is available to you.

I belonged to a selling organization that used to have us stand at the end of the campus and pass out discount cards to those leaving the college. Most colleges have an area that many students pass during the day where you could pass out these materials. This produced a high rate of interviews and sales opportunities.

Eat lunch in their common area and place your items on the table with a free sign. Have your gift card applications sitting where they are easy for the students to pick up and fill out.

You can get lists of recent college students that you can contact with postcards or other mail.

To find the best country evaluate according to the following check list.

1. Do I understand the people and the culture - best place to start is your own country.
2. Does this country have adequate and consistent internet available?
3. Do the values of this country support my own? - makes it easier to communicate.
4. Does the country have a reputation of hard working, enthusiastic people?
5. Is the country stable now, or going through some crisis that inhibits the members ability to work consistently on SFI.
6. With so many countries now embracing the internet more fully - check on a new country that doesn't have many or any SFI members.
7. Do the people have enough freedom to build the business?
8. Is this country financial stable?
7. How easy is it to advertise in this country?

Since the internet is everywhere and SFI depends more on the persistence and tenacity of the people joining, it is best to put your advertisements everywhere, and then work with those who demonstrate these qualities. Anyone anywhere can make it work. One of my most active members is from a very small country that many of us have never heard of. If I had been evaluating countries according to the above list, I would never have found him. Limiting yourself to countries isn't the way to go. People are people every where and the job of an SFI leader is to find and sort out those who will persist and do the work. Never assume anything about anyone when you are selling. Find the people and then listen to them and fill their needs.

A great way to start local is to have your friends over for a presentation. Then ask each one of them to set up a presentation for their friends at their home for a presentation on how to make money from home. Offer your friends some incentive for having the meeting. Such as Tcredits or the gift cards, then explain how they can use them to purchase items.

Then set up your presentation starting with Tripleclicks so that they can either set up a Tconnect page or an ECA page and sell whatever they have. Offer to help with the pages. That is the fastest way to make money. You could call it a local buying club so that you could buy in bulk and distribute the orders to save shipping.

Then do an SFI presentation showing them how they can make money through duplication as well as selling.

You agree to bring the drinks and treats. It wouldn't have to be much - cookies, cake or something that is a local favorite. These meetings would build your group fast, and then you could do local training presentations. Once you have a group of two or three people it is easier to get them to training.

Be prepared for how many come. If no one comes but your friend, start with them and then build up more people bringing them into your buying club or whatever you call your group.

Inspire yourself to do what is going to get you to your goal in SFI by using motivating principles. here are some steps for self motivation.

1. Imagine yourself achieving these goals. Actually experience in your mind the benefits. You should be actually seeing in your imagination what you are hearing, and doing. Strategise where and how you will do the necessary steps to achieve your goal. Then imagine that they worked. Some ideas will work, and some will not work, but you can pick those that do work and discard the rest.

2.Get in touch with winning the prize, your goal will come from following your plans.

3. keep those good feelings as you contact your members, and they can't help but feel them too and want to succeed with you.

Your mind is the key to success, and experiencing the success in your mind ahead of accomplishing your goals will help you motivate yourself to do whatever it takes, and will also be motivating to your downline members.

You may have a way of writing and responding that appeals more to them than their previous sponsor. Your sponsor may not have the time and energy needed to handle their questions.
Perhaps they haven't been able to respond in the past, and suddenly their circumstances change and they now have the means to work SFI. There are so many variables that effect the response of those who have signed up but are inactive, so it is good policy to NEVER give up on them.
