Motivation is very hard for some people. As a leader you can motivate others by following the examples in SFI. You find them in the forum, in Ask SC and by just doing the work every day. Keeping yourself motivated is the best thing you can do. When you are motivated, ambitious and sending information about yours and others successes, you will improve the motivation of the team. If you are just hanging on to SFI, doing the daily items yourself, you will have a team that does that too, and the whole team will suffer.

A leader has to be upbeat, readily available for anything the rest of the team might need, and tirelessly present them with information and helps that will move them forward.

Many people enter from Traffic building sites where they are looking to advertise their own business with the points they earn. Those who do examine the site often don't see any way up front that they will make money soon, at least more than they spend.

Some of the people signing in take one look at the program and think this is too hard to do. It seemed simple to me when I joined, but this is the answer I have received from several people whom I have encouraged to sign up. Then SFI sends them a lot of emails and some people are turned off by the number of emails believing that there is no real money in SFI.

Some more people, who have no knowledge of what it really takes to build a business from scratch,look at it like a job and expect being paid like a job. Even though most new people probably don't spend eight hours a day working on SFI like they would a job.

Then there are those people who do know what it takes to build a business from scratch, and unless they see the vision right away don't want to put in that kind of effort. Their passion isn't there for this business.

Then there are those people who look at SFI as something other than the company visions it to be, and since the program doesn't work like they think it should, they quit. These are people who want to be more in control than SFI can allow new people.

Then there are those who put their all in it, but for some reason aren't able to get the recruits they need to advance. Their advertising doesn't produce for them like it should, or they aren't advertising like they should.

Advancing in SFI isn't easy, it is a long row to hoe. Even if you follow the guidelines and read all the information that you can, you still have to plug away, and SFI makes that very clear with their emphasis on the daily items, even to the point of timing them so that we have to wait. This is SFI's attempt at modifying our behavior so that we read because we have to wait for the button to change.

SFI is really a program for sheep. That is for people who will blindly follow a leader. Even cows have a pecking order similar to SFI. In fact most businesses who depend on sales, have had some form of MLM for many years, only it wasn't called by that name. You were a salesman, then if lucky promoted to sales manager and so on up the line. The more sales people you had under you the more you were paid.

Even the US government is built on MLM lines, in that your income directly depends on the number of people you supervise. This system makes power more important than money.

You have to see the vision that SFI not only provides you a vehicle to build money and with money, power. The power comes from the respect you build up through the way you treat your downline. The more power you develop, the more money you make.The better informed you get, the more you can reach out on the internet, build your brand and develop even more money and power over your own business.

Versa Points are used by SFI to make the accounting universal. Money is a universal way of rewarding employees and others when they work. Versa points are SFI's money unit that makes all of the different currencies they have to work with universal.

This universality allows SFI to reward all of us the same in achieving a specific goal. VP translates into real money according to the percentage it equals in the members country.

The main thing is to avoid any emotional words that cause the individual to think about something different than your ad. A famous one is Mother, this can cause many people to start to think about their mother. Personal words that convey a feeling other than purchasing would be counter productive.

Use words that are generic emotionally, but will excite and give the idea that this ad has value so that they read it.

In studying research on Text ads I learned that we need to be sure that they are search engine friendly. For instance one study placed the same ad with all of the words in the top line capitalized so that the search engines picked up more words in the title than just the first word. These were compared to ads that just had a title without this capitalization. The capitalization increased the rate of return by over 25%. In picking key words, we not only have to think of the readers, but the SEO needs of the computer search engines as well.

Establish a routine and develop a schedule using percentages of time that includes the following points. These are the % that I feel would make for a very successful income generating business. I plan to start using this plan immediately myself.

1. 10% on doing the daily activities
2. 30% spending time communicating with your downline through the genealogy or individually. Use as many different mediums that you are comfortable with using.
3. 10% evaluating your progress for the day - have you completed the dailies, is there something in the todo list that you need to add to - perhaps make a purchase, or complete some activity.
4. 50% of your time should be spend in advertising. Pick a specific method to concentrate on perhaps using a 6 week rotation. That way you will cover - sponsoring, sales, Pricebenders, ECA stores in one month. TCgift cards and SFIPPA will be your topics the next month. The reason I suggest that you concentrate on one item each week is to help you build your proficiency in advertising that item. The more activities in SFI you cover in your advertising, the more rounded your business will be and your profits will then be greater.

Notice that I didn't set a percentage for doing the auctions. You can set up a second tab for auctions and watch them while doing some of the other work. My problem with that is that I get to concentrating on my work activity at the same time the auction is closing so I forget to bid and lose out. Haven't solved how to concentrate on two items at once.

Setting percentages and scheduling the time you have available will provide the structure that a regular job has and give you a greater chance for success. Doing a program like this takes a lot of the luck out of SFI.

1. Be sure that your SFI percentage is large enough to attract others to advertise for you.

6. Also put interesting tidbits about your items in the ECA news so that they get seen in the stream. You have to be seen 7-9 times before anyone remembers you.
7. If you have items that you can comment about in the forum without actually advertising them, such as explaining why it is necessary to do __________ that is beneficial to SFI members. Mention that there are products in Triple clicks that can help them do the _________.
8. Use your TripleClicks page as a signature under your name in your emails and messages.
9. Offer your items free to your downline in a contest or as an incentive for them to accomplish some goal.
10.Write interesting articles about your items in your personal blog,webpage and newsletters.

I suggested that SFI set up some sort of advertising medium for ECA members to use. SFI has the Ttime game, the DOD, and many other places they passively advertise their products. The ECA program would prosper and grow much better if the ECA people had some comparable ways to passively advertise their products to SFI members.After all the main advantage to an ECA store is the built in incentive of members to purchase from them.

You need both. Carefully look at what you have to invest, and then determine which is better for you. To earn any money from SFI you have to be an EA. That has to come first. There are numerous ECA members who sell advertising, and these purchases also qualify as EA building VP. These are great help when you have a low budget. Carefully check out the ECA programs that you are purchasing. Some only guarantee hits. Often these hits don't help, unless you have something to refer them to that catches their eye. By this I mean that your advertising material has to be good enough to cause them to do more than just hit on your advertisement. You might offer something on a landing page instead of just using your gateway. That way this very inexpensive advertising is more effective.

Show them how to do it. How do you promote your products? The fastest and most lucrative way for your affiliates in SFI is to sell products. You have a vehicle to do this where you have a personal stake in the outcome. That should give you the passion you need to convince them and give them ideas as to how to do it. What are your fastest selling products? How do they compare price wise with other similar products on the web? All of this is information your affiliates need to promote these products.

First suggest that if they have local classifieds available to advertise there. Selling them locally not only will help them to sell your products faster, but will help them to sponsor because they now have contacts. Any way they make contacts selling your products gives them another person to contact for sponsoring.

Do you have articles, reviews, advertising materials you can share with them that they can use as an example and put into their own words. If you have advertising materials you can send them, that would help them sell your products.

Many inactive affiliates might become more active if they were given the idea that they can sell your products to make money today instead of doing the daily click and confirm items to make money next month.

You could base a whole newsletter on how to do this to make fast money in SFI. If you have great products at a reasonable price that sell well, you should have no trouble getting your members to sell them for you.

Cold calling from a telephone directory only has been successful in a very local area. We used to do a lot of cold calling that way. Back when people had more trust from someone calling on the phone, it was somewhat effective, and still is for local people calling local people for things such as carpet cleaning. Otherwise it is less effective than advertising on the internet. You will probably get 1000 nos before you get someone who will listen.

The best way to sell anything is your warm market. If you have a long list of telephone numbers of people you know, that is where to start. They at least have some contact with you and aren't as skeptical. The second best is to build repore' on social media sites to get some credibility, and then go from there.

Advertising locally is the next best, if you want to use telephone contacts. You may get some people from the ad that will talk to you about your business. Advertise that you will help them to build there home business. Some places you can advertise consulting services for home business. No matter what; you have to develop some credibility for anyone to give you the time of day on the phone. Robot calling must be effective judging from the huge number I get and put on the do not call list. That is the only way I would go doing cold calling on the phone.

Generally, I would say no to this question. When you give SFI related items for incentive you are promoting your own business and teaching them a model they can follow to both you and them. If you send them unrelated items that you might have available such as a DVD that you have laying around the house, they wouldn't have this opportunity unless they passed on the DVD. Still you are not earning from your activity.

If you are purchasing items outside of SFI to send, you are spending money that doesn't give you any value in SFI. They would then follow your lead and purchase outside of SFI. This doesn't build your business.

There are enough items in SFI that you don't need to go outside. If you have DVD's and other items worth sending to your members, set up an ECA for them, and then you would be sending items that will enhance your SFI business. If you feel an item not availabe in SFI is valuable enough to send your downline, you can set the item up in your ECA, and then purchase from yourself, pay SFI and then you can purchase it elsewhere and send it. That way your will increase your SFI business and provide a means for them to purchase the same item for their downline. They purchase it from your ECA store and you then purchase it elsewhere and have it sent to them or their customer.
