I think that Affiliates struggle with two things. The first being communication. Communication is just so difficult as each country have their own “idioms” As an example, making a joke in one country can be classed as insulting in another country.

What I think should be done here is to send your emails in both English and also the Affiliates basic language. It’s a bit of trouble to go to but overall, if you want your business to work, then it is most definitely worth it.

Now to make it easy, go through your Genealogy and filter people by Country. Then send this group an email with their native language first and English second.

Put a sentence at the foot asking that they contact you and advise you whether they would like all their future emails sent this way.

I think that if your team members see the trouble you are going to, they may become more responsive.

The second thing which I believe that Affiliates struggle with is suspicion. Just think……someone who you don’t know helping you. Unheard of? You need to make your team mails and emails helpful and informative. Set out who you have helped and how you have helped other members.

I guess taking both problems into consideration, it really does all come down to communication and how we word our mailings. Even though you are not “in person” your attitude can be sensed if your mails are not worded correctly.

There are literally hundreds of products available in the TripleClicks store which can be promoted. What you need to do is to gather your information as to what your audience is going to be. If you are going to advertise to younger people, then choose products that will be suitable for this age group.

On the other hand, you can choose a variety of products and cover a wide age group. It is an ideal time of the year for advertising products with Christmas so close.

You need to be persistent with your advertising. Don’t just do one or two ads and sit back and wait. You need to decide how many you are going to post each day. Lets say you choose 10 products to promote. This needs to be done on a daily basis. As I said, be persistent and don’t let up. Not everyone trawls the internet every day. Someone may see and like your ad in several days time, hence your ads need to be posted every single day.

Choose 10 products every day and post your ads regularly. Keep going and don’t let up. You can choose either paid advertising or free advertising. If money is a bit short, then choose free advertising.

You need to make your ad sound attractive. Read it over to yourself. Would you buy this product if you read this ad? Have a look at some ads already out there…..do not copy them but get an idea from them and reword them to suit yourself and your products.

If you are using a self made banner, then use bright colours, borders etc. to make your ad stand out so people will go to it out of curiousity.

The simple straightforward answer to this question is a most definite yes.

These days most countries have English as a second language and therefore we can all communicate as one.

If on the offchance that you strike someone who cannot speak English, we are provided with many ways to translate such as with Google and Bing.

I always send my new members an email asking them whether they would like to communicate in English or I ask them what their preferred language is. I then direct them to the translate area. My first few emails are always in both English and the newcomers native language and I ask them what their preference is.

I think that if your new team member understands just how much trouble you will go to help him/her, you will have a great member beneath you.

Just go to your Genealogy and click on the name of your affiliate team member or you can also click on their ID number. This will take you to their Affiliate Snapshot. Now scroll down and you will see the Affiliate Manager.

You can get quite a lot of information from this area, including whether they have confirmed their registration, completed their affiliate profile and whitelist e-mails. This is great information if you want to send them an e-mail as you know it is a good e-mail address which has been confirmed. Training details can be sent as required.

You have the full details they have provided such as their City and Country which is a great help when communicating. You have a checklist of items which you should be attending in order to give them help. Just put a tick in the tick box when the task has been done. here is an area on the right hand side which tells you when they last logged in.

There is an area for you to make notes. For those of you who keep a physical notebook, this is probably not needed but for those who like to do everything on their computer and in the one place, it is a great way to keep your files up to date.

Most importantly the activity tab tells you just how they are working--how many PSAs they have sponsored, and how many of their PSAs have reached EA2 and Team Leader.

There is other information available to you such as their VP tally and whether or not they have a Standing Order, their Power Rank, Country and Class Rank.

All of this information helps you to provide the correct information when sending out your weekly Newsletters.

If you see that your team member is lacking in one certain area, then you can either provide information to them on how to overcome the problem or you can provide them perhaps with some reassigned team members.

Good question Adebayo. With this one I think you need a small notebook. I know it is the digital age but I personally like to have the notebook next to me while I am doing things. I have 4 notebooks for my SFI business and refer to them many times during the day while I am working my business.

Firstly, you need to detail each place/site where you have posted your SFI ad. You might have several ads on the one site. In this regard you need to have a different way of tracing how each ad is doing.

This is possible by using keycodes. For example if you are advertising for people to join your SFI team you might use this link http://www.sfi4.com/XXXXXXXX.1001/FREE where the XXXXXXXX is your own SFI ID number.

Now if you have say 3 ads with this one company you would change the key code in each one to read http://www.sfi4.com/XXXXXXXX.1002/FREE and http://www.sfi4.com/XXXXXXXX.1003/FREE

Now record these numbers in your notebook and you will know at a glance which wording is bringing in the most members. You can then delete the others or change your working to see which works best.

Follow the same procedure with all of the companies you advertise with. Just remember not to use the keycodes which SFI Management use which are 1101 for affiliates from S-Builder, 1104 for PSAs To Go/PSAs won at Auctions, 1200 for affiliates who were not referred to SFI by anyone.
1300 for TripleClicks members via the TC Tell-A-Friend feature.

There is no secret here – the answer is advertise. There are many ways to advertise, both free and paid. They both have an equal chance of obtaining sales for you.

I have found that advertising on traffic exchanges is pretty useless as most of the members are just clicking to earn their points, and many don’t read the ads. The best way is in your local paper or on a board at your local shop.

Your ad must be set out in great form. You need to compose something that you think will attract people to actually read it. Use your creative mind.

In my country we have a magazine which comes out quarterly and the cost of a text ad is quite small. Just a few well chosen words with the link to a TripleClicks ECA may just do the trick. As the ad runs for a full 3 months, it should generate a few sales for you.

Choose your link carefully. It could be to an ECA, to the TripleClicks front page or to a particular item which you think will sell well.

These details can also be put onto a poster with a few colour pictures and posted on your local notice board. Just run it past management first to get the ok to print it out.

Transfer buying simply means transferring where you shop.

You take your products off your weekly or monthly shopping list and you put them on your TripleClicks list. You are not spending any extra money in that you are just changing where you shop.

This has many benefits in that it boosts your VP. Every product sold from the TripleClicks store has a VP value which, when you make a purchase, is added to your tally.

There are other benefits as well including when a member of your team makes a purchase. If the team member is a CSA and makes a purchase from the TripleClicks store, you will earn 15% of the CV (Commission Volume). If a PSA makes a purchase from the TripleClicks store then you earn a whopping 45% of the CV.

You can see from this that it is beneficial for all to consider transfer buying. There are many things in the TripleClicks store suitable for transfer buying. Things which you would use on a regular basis such as soaps, moisturisers, bottled sauce. Just do a search and see what you can come up with.

An advanced search enables you to look for sellers in your own country thus reducing your shipping and postage.

Hello Emma. To give you a simple answer to your question, yes. Help your affiliates to much will make them lazy and dependent on you. They will expect much of you and will not do any learning for themselves.

You need to work out a fine line between helping them to achieve and progress and helping them too much. I get over this problem firstly by offering my help and encouraging them to email me if they need help. I also have a website where I set out some limited amounts of training, how to, and what you can achieve if you work at it. It is then their prerogative if they visit or not and do the learning activities to progress.

When a specific question is asked of me, I give a very simple basic answer and I provide a link to the area of SFI which gives a much more detailed explanation. I encourage the Affiliate to visit the link and to do the reading and then I ask them to get back in touch with me to tell me if their question was answered.

I don’t offer bribes or TCredits at all but once in a while I will (out of the blue) pick someone who has been asking questions and I can see they have found the answer themselves by “working it out” then I will gift them some TCredits or a Gift Certificate for their hard work.

I think that genuine workers will appreciate this method as it is a great form of learning for them which they can then duplicate to their own team.

Hello David. Communication in business is such an important factor to consider. Whilst some people love live chat, others do not. Some love email, some do not. And so it goes on. There are just so many ways to communicate these days with all of the social networks, email, chat etc. selecting one avenue of communication to suit everyone is difficult.

Myself, I don’t like live chat to communicate with someone I don’t know or someone that is very new to my team. I might be encouraged to use live chat after a member has been in my team a while and we have “got to know one another” however before using it I would make an email request and ask them if they would like to communicate in this way.

I choose to communicate with my team with the PSA Mailer, CSA Mailer and Genealogy for the other Generations. I have a website with I upload hints and tips and list some of my own achievements and detail how I reached them. Having your own website is, in my opinion, a very important way of building your SFI business and a great communication tool.

I have found that people love to surf the internet and visiting a website where they can find out things about SFI is a great form of communication. You can have a page dedicated to messages which is a big help.
