What am I doing today (to develop my SFI business) that will matter tomorrow?

Well, the short answer to this question is “EVERYTHING!”

I work the SFI system as SFI has given it to us – as per the “To-DO List”, see: -

Yes, I’m heading for Diamond Team Leader. This involves earning VersaPoints (VP) and developing an active team – actually a team of “Team Leaders”.

How am I doing this specifically?

1. I work daily towards maintaining my rank as a Bronze Team Leader (BTL) each month by making sure that I earn the 3,000 VP I need to meet the VP requirements to do this. My eye is on the higher Team Leader ranks. BTL is just the minimum I wish to retain each month. It is my “stepping stone”.

But, if my circumstances were to change dramatically, my base level of monthly rank that I REALLY MUST retain each month is that of Executive Affiliate (EA).

2. I earn the 3,000 VP I need by purchasing one pack of 125 TCredits each month. This fulfills the requirement of DTL for 1,500 personal VP. The rest of the VP I need I obtain through earning ACTION VP and through making purchases to develop my team.

3. But my aim is to as quickly as possible purchase a minimum of two packs of 125 TCredits each month. This will ensure that I meet the 3,000 VP requirement for BTL and this will also give me a great “Launchpad” towards STL and higher TL rank.

4. Then I spend my efforts on growing and developing my team. I am fortunate to have one active EA2 – hence I should be able to make BTL each month.

But I don’t want to be complacent. I wish to develop many more EA2s in my team. That will give me depth and certainty and the opportunity to develop team leaders in my team. So we can all become DTLs.

5. So my major goal is to grow my team.

At the moment I am growing my PSAs by purchasing one unit of S-Builder each month, by gaining “free” PSAs through the Pricebenders (PB) “Spin & Win” program and by purchasing them from a ECA. Here I look for the most cost effective products being offered.

And I am growing my CSAs through the CSA Rewards Program and the Second Home CSA program.

6. Then I work with my PSAs and CSAs as best I can. This really depends on them. I can only help them if they want to work. But I keep trying different ways to encourage and motivate them. Now this includes uploading images in my Stream posts and Leadership Page blogs, which I hope will spur their interest.

7. There are two other areas of SFI that I am currently also working on developing.

One is my own marketing/blog campaigns and filtering the results to my team through my co-op. I am still learning how to do this.

The other is the ECA program.

I have my own ECA that I wish to develop more with quality products.

And I also wish to encourage other local businesses to become ECAs too. I am approaching this one product at a time. And I expect my ECA program to develop faster once I can demonstrate that my own ECA store is working well.

Finally, my whole approach to SFI is LONG-TERM. Each day I am trying to build a platform that will one day reap me HUGE rewards. That is my mindset.

How do I get my affiliates to respond to me when I send them messages?

There is no easy answer to this question.

I suppose, that if I had deep pockets, I could entice them by offering a reward of some kind to get them to respond. Well, I don’t have deep pockets. In fact I really “sweat” hard each month to maintain my Bronze Team Leader rank. So this method is not an option for me. But then, I don’t think it is very wise to offer additional rewards to your team.

Do I really want someone in my team who has to be continually given someone extra to be active in SFI? Do I really want someone in my team who won’t grasp the HUGE POTENTIAL of SFI? Do I really want someone in my team who is not prepared to work and learn and apply and do?

My answer to those questions is “No!” SFI offers plenty of rewards to those who want to work. It’s just amazing.

So, what other ways can I encourage my team to respond? Let me tell you what I am doing and the new things I am implementing now.

1. The first thing I do is implement the SFI system as best I can. SFI gives us heaps of advice and encouragement about when and how I should communicate with my affiliates and I would be foolish to ignore that advice.

If you are not doing this, you should be. Please make the best use of the experience and research that SFI has build up over the years that you can. SFI is the expert. So study what SFI advices and try it for yourself.

Such things as the welcome letter, weekly teammails, stream posts, individual e-cards - including such things as translating your messages into their native language.

And, I do as many of the other things, which are not specific to my team, as well, that I have time to do. Such things are being active in the forum and in writing answers to ASK SC questions.

These additional things develop your status among the SFI community and provide you with your own training materials that you then have available to use with your team. Your activity in these things will also be reflected in your badges – the number of “likes” you have, your “Forum Guru” badge, your “Biz Quiz” rating etc. At the end of the day your team member may start to take notice of you when he/she realizes that you know what you are talking about and that you are a respected member of the SFI community.

2. As I do these things I develop my own style and I “twig” what I write about and how I write it. I’m always trying to think up a “better way” to do it.

3. And I do all these things consistently – daily and weekly. Hence my team will see that I am working. Again maybe one day they will decide to take notice and follow my example.

4. What am I doing that is new? I’m really pleased that we can now include an image in our Stream Posts, Leadership Page blogs and Forum posts. This has made me “vamp” up what I do in each of these forums.

I am trying to write more frequent Stream posts – my aim is to do one every day (but that is not always possible). And how I write my Stream Posts has changed too. Now I am writing short “inspirational” posts about what to do, or how to do it, or what attitude we should have.

And for each I upload a personal photo from my “family” albums to illustrate the point I am trying to make. And in my post I mention who is in the photo and what they are doing. And I end with a short tip that applies my post to SFI.

I am hoping that the photo will encourage my team member to read the post.

And because it is about me and/or a member of my family and what we are doing, I am hoping that my team member will come to know me better and hence to trust me more. Hopefully this will lead to them beginning to “do what I do”!

It’s too early to say if this new approach is working any better than what I have done in the past. But I am enjoying doing it and, again, I hope to get better at doing it over time too.

Of course, when I do get a response I reply as fully and quickly as possible and I try to be encouraging. Normally I just get a very short response from my affiliate and my reply is much longer. And sometimes I do not receive a response at all. But I just keep going. One day I will find someone who does understand the potential of SFI and who will be prepared to work.

As a new affiliate, how much should I invest in SFI to start earning money every month?

Let me be as practical as possible in answering this question. First, the theory.

1. You actually start to earn a commission in SFI from day one, just by earning VersaPoints (VP) by doing the actions available to you; see the complete list on your To-Do Tab on your SFI Homepage: -

Note all the different types of actions you can do to earn VP.

2. But your commissions are not paid to you until you have accumulated at least 1,500 VP for the month. Once you have earned 1,500 VP each month you will also become an Executive Affiliate (EA). So you need to ensure that you earn at least 1,500 VP each and every month.

This point is not highlighted clearly in SFI. Perhaps the easiest way to find this out is to go to the “Compensation Plan”, see: -

At the bottom of this page you will find “11 Reasons Why The SFI Comp Plan Rocks.” Read point #5 carefully: -

“5. Qualify for EVERY type of compensation with as little as 1500 VP a month!”

3. Commissions are paid monthly for the previous month into your “My SFI Commissions” account, see: -

4. But, if you don’t earn at least 1,500 VP each month, you will loose any accumulated commissions in your account. This is clearly stated as point #34 in your Affiliate Agreement, see: -

5. Hence you need to earn at least 1,500 VP each month to be paid a commission and retain it.

6. How do you do this?
I recommend that you earn at least 1,500 VP each month through your own actions (including sales and purchases) so that you are not relying on the activity of your team. If you are relying on your team members’ activity and none of them do enough in a particular month for you to earn 1,500 VP then you will loose any accumulated commissions. This can happen for a number of reasons, so protect yourself. Make it your personal goal to earn 1,500 VP yourself each month.

7. The cheapest was to do this is to purchase one pack of 100 TCredits each month. This will cost you $29.00 (on Standing Order) and give you 1,200 VP. And you can easily earn the remaining 300 VP from doing the daily, weekly and monthly actions on your “To-Do List”.

8. But also please realize this: - There are “No purchase requirements...ever!” Please refer to reason #2 of the “11 Reasons Why The SFI Comp Plan Rocks.”

No, you can earn a commission each month by marketing SFI products to people. If they just want to purchase the product they will sign up as your Personally Referred Member (PRM), also known as a TC Member, and just purchase whatever products they wish from TripleClicks.

If you sign them up as an AFFILIATE they will be become your Personally Sponsor Affiliate (PSA) and you will earn a Direct Commission from any purchases they make at TripleClicks of 45% of the Commission Value (CV) of the product.

Similarly when any of your Co-Sponsored Affiliates (CSAs) purchase a product from TripleClicks you will receive a Co-Sponsor Commission of 15% of the CV of the product.

9. Let me give you an example. Let’s say you are interested in marketing Eager Zebra (EZ) Games. Your prospects will need to purchase TCredits to play these games. So you should begin to market TCredits to them.

Say a person purchases a pack of 200 TCredits (a TripleClicks Member must buy this quantity to get the special price of $0.29 each). It will cost them $64.00.

And you will earn a direct commission of $9.96 (or $8.86 if on Standing Order). You will receive this about the 11th day of the following month. And you will be able to reinvest this back into SFI or spend it on anything you wish.

You would also have earned 1,661 VersaPoints (VP). This is enough to make you an Executive Affiliate (EA) for the month.

Hence to retain your rank as EA2 every month you only need to sell one pack 200 TCredits each month.

Do you get the idea? You can do this calculation for any product in TripleClicks.

10. My experience. I have been in SFI for over two years and I have received a commission every single month. THE SFI SYSTEM WORKS! Some months it has been very small. When I have only been able to earn about 1,500 VP my commission for the month was as little as $0.66.

11. Briefly, the above is the theory. What do I recommend? I think you are a serious SFI business builder, so I will tell you what I do.

I strive to have the minimum rank of Team Leader each month. These begin at Bronze Team Leader (BTL), which requires that I earn a minimum 3,000 VP each month. (There is also the requirement to have one EA2 in my team.)

I do this because I wish to receive the additional benefits of BTL, which include Matching VP and one share of “Second Home CSAs”.

Hence I earn 3,000 VP each month from my personal activity. Again the easiest and cheapest way to do this is to purchase two packs of 125 TCredits. This will cost you $72.50 and give you 3,000 VP.

This then allows me to concentrate of team building. It also means all the ACTION VP I earn during the month, and the VP and TCredits I win during the month, help me move towards the next rank - Silver Team Leader (STL), which requires 4,000 VP.

Summary: Briefly, the above is the way to start earning money in SFI. But, of course, the “Sky's the limit!” SFI has HUGE potential and if you are serious about building a successful SFI business as quickly as possible then I suggest you invest as much as you can afford each month in SFI.

Your investment will include products you will consume yourself (transfer buying); products for use in SFI, such as TCredits to play games and bid in the auctions etc; products and services from TripleClicks that will assist you to grow your business and train your team, such as e-books, websites, PSAs etc; and a marketing budget. Your marketing budget will depend on what type of marketing you wish to do.

Of course, you will be wise to evaluate the benefits each component of your SFI budget generates and make adjustments accordingly.

Finally, may I just say this; when I had a “bricks and mortar” business (physical office) I was paying in excess of $1,000.00 per month in rent, electricity, telephones, advertising, and other business expenses. So, I am prepared to also invest a similar amount in my SFI business. At the moment I am not working and so can’t do this. So I just invest as much as I can afford to each month. And, of one thing I am certain – what money I can invest in SFI will generate more profit and residual value than if I invested the same amount in a “bricks and mortar” business.

First let’s be clear what S-Builder is.

S-Builder is SFI’s international, multi-channel advertising co-op. It is available to all SFI affiliates through the TripleClicks Superstore. Please refer to the following link: –

To participate you purchase shares, which are called “units” in the co-op.
One unit costs US$24.00 per month or US$22.00 if it is part of a Standing Order (SO). That is just US$0.72 cents a day. You may purchase as many units in S-Builder as you wish. SFI claims that S-Builder is one of most economical ways to build an online business but no specific results are guaranteed.

No longer is a lack of time or marketing experience a roadblock to success with SFI. With S-Builder, you can simply plug in to SFI’s global advertising co-op and within a few weeks begin receiving sign-ups (both SFI affiliates and TC members). Hence you can start building a residual income stream for you and your family.

So, what is my experience with S-Builder?

I purchased one unit in S-Builder on September 3, 2013 (in my sixth day as a member of SFI) and I have purchased one unit each month ever since (I am now in my 14th month in SFI).

And I found that it took some time for my first SFI affiliate through S-Builder to arrive, not until November 30, 2013 – some 87 days later. But since then they became quite regular. I usually receive about 4 signups per month but I received 7 last month, the most ever. And so far this month I have received 2, so it does vary.

To date I have received 46 SFI affiliates from S-Builder and 3 TripleClicks Members (TM) and it has cost me a total of US$286.00. That’s an average of 3.7 SFI affiliates per month at an average cost of US$5.84 each. (This is the first time I have looked at what S-Builder was costing me per SFI affiliate received.)

I have decided to keep purchasing one unit in S-Builder each month because it is an iconic product of SFI, it’s been developed by SFI as a means of helping affiliates grow their SFI businesses, and it does generate signups. So I think that I should support it.

But signups do not mean active affiliates and a signup through S-Builder is no exception. One can’t blame S-Builder for that. Inactive affiliates or affiliates that very quickly become inactive is a fact of life in this type of business.

The great thing about S-Builder is that I don’t have to do anything to receive a signup, apart from paying for the unit of course. And once someone signs up they will remain an SFI affiliate in my team, unless they choose to opt-out, or until they have been inactive for one year, at which time they loose their membership. So I have one year to try and show them the benefits of being a SFI affiliate and to encourage them to become and remain active. So far I have not been very successful in achieving this but that is another story. Hopefully “Fast Track 2” and the “New Member Pack” (NMP) will help in this regard. I also tried another TripleClicks signup product once. From that product I received 35 signups but none of them remained active either.

So I think that S-Builder is just one part of growing a profitable SFI business. It is not sufficient in itself but it does produce signups – which is all that is promises to do. I must also learn how to be an “awesome sponsor” and encourage my S-Builder signups to become committed SFI businesspeople. I hope to have more success in this during my second year in SFI.

How can I use the new feature for adding images in Stream posts and on my Leadership Page blog to better support my team?

I love this new feature of SFI! I am only just starting to use it but I can see its huge potential to help me get my messages across.

In fact it is changing the way I work my SFI business and how I communicate with my team. Previously I would often write three or even up to five Stream posts on the same day each week and then not write any more until the next week. Similarly TeamMails were also only weekly. And my Leadership Page blogs had become infrequent.

The “add an image” feature has changed all that. Now I wish to write a Stream post daily, to write shorter but more frequent TeamMails and hopefully also daily Blog posts to my Leadership Page.

And I intend to include an image in all my Stream Posts and LP Blogs too. As I have said, this is a new feature and so I am still learning how to appreciate the scope of it but I can see huge opportunities.

For instance, I intend to include more images about my life and family in my posts to illustrate my message. It will also help to show that I am just an ordinary bloke (just like my team members are). I hope this will both inspire activity within my team and encourage them to write a response to me.

Images will also enhance my training and inspirational messages. I am really looking forward to getting together a library of these. I think I will only be limited in what I can do by my imagination.

Finally, I see this feature helping me to prepare better advertisements too. After all an advertisement is just a special form of “blog”.

In summary I think images will help me make SFI become more alive and pertinent to my team. I am so grateful that this feature has been added to our Stream posts and Leadership Page Blogs.

How much time should I allow before I should expect to be producing income from SFI?

I think most of the answers I have read so far to this question miss the whole point of SFI - that SFI is a worldwide business, open 24/7/365, that sells products and services over the internet, from which, we affiliates receive commissions.

And the obvious answer to this question is that “I produce income from the very first time that I log into SFI.” Why do I say that? I say it because it is true.

As an affiliate I start earning in SFI as soon as I start doing something. There are all the Action VersaPoints (AVP) that I can earn for setting up my SFI business, administrating it, and training and mentoring his team. Yes, it is true that I do not become eligible to receive any income (commissions) from SFI until my VP is at least 1,500 each month. But, subject to that proviso, I start producing income basically from EVERY activity I do in SFI.

I think the question really refers to “profit” and not “income”, in other words the question is; “When should I expect to be producing a profit from my SFI business?” There is a difference between income and profit – Profit is income less expenses.

But my answer is still the same. I can start producing a profit from my very first action.

That’s not the reality for most of us, of course, but it is possible with the system that SFI has in place. It’s not the reality for me either but I am now starting to earn more in commissions than I spend each month. So, how can I say that the SFI system provides us with a means by which we can produce a profit from day one?

We all know that SFI is FREE to join, that ALL the TRAINING is FREE, that we are provided with FREE WEBSITE and that we are NEVER required to PURCHASE anything. This is one of the BEST selling points for SFI and what distinguishes it from most other online businesses.

And through TripleClicks we have access to over 85,000 products and services that we can market worldwide 24/7/365. To produce income (make profit) from day one all we have to do is market these products and services through any of the FREE marketing methods available to us.

Let’s look at just three examples: -

1. Transfer buying: Suppose I purchase the cleaning product, The Natural All-Purpose Cleaner, from TripleClicks instead of a similar product from the local supermarket and that I can receive this product delivered to my door for a total cost that is $1.00 less than what I could pay for at the local supermarket. I have immediately made a $1.00 savings. That’s a profit of $1.00.

How can I help ensure that my affiliates read all the exciting and important SFI announcements?

Let me tell you what I do and give you an example: -

1. I contact ALL my affiliates as a group as best I can.

I contact my whole team with at least one weekly TeamMail and with at least three weekly Stream Posts.

The TeamMail also goes to their private email address that they gave SFI when they joined so there is a chance that they will receive these even if they don’t log into their SFI homepage. But there is no guarantee that they will actually read them.

Stream Posts only appear on their SFI Homepage so they will not even get the chance to read them unless they login and review their “Stream” tab.

And I contact personally by email and/or E-Card those on my movers tab at least twice a month.

2. What do I write about?

I firstly bring the SFI News item to their attention in a Stream Post. But I don’t repeat the news.

Instead I refer to the news item in an enthusiastic way.
I give them the link to the news item,
I give them the link to the FORUM discussion about the news items.
Then I mention what I think the most beneficial thing is about that news item.

3. I always write my weekly Stream Posts before I write my weekly TeamMail and then I refer to my Stream Posts in that week’s TeamMail too. In this way I am trying to link everything that I write to them about together and hopefully that will encourage them to read everything that I send them.

But I don’t repeat my Stream Post either – rather I add to it. Again by highlighting the benefit of the news item. I write something different. And I usually also ask a question at the end – as a way of trying to prick their interest and prompt a response.

In the above example of the CSA Rewards Program this is what I wrote about it in my TeamMail that week: -

“And my third post was to bring your attention to the new “CSA Rewards Program.”

This is a real WINNER for us all. A way you can build your CSA team just by doing your NORMAL work in SFI. Please read the news item AND the Forum discussion about it.

What I wish to know is this: - How many additional FREE CSAs do you think you will receive this month under this new program?”

4. I try and write “up-beat” and enthusiastically about SFI. I try and let my passion and excitement shine through.

5. Please remember, I treat each SFI News item differently. So I play with this format a bit to make it appropriate to the particular news item.

6. And I ALWAYS am asking them to ask questions if they don’t understand something.

7. Why do I use this approach? I do it this way because I am trying to teach my team how to find things in SFI and when they do to read it for themselves. I do not want to treat them like babies. I want them to develop the skills they will need to succeed in SFI.

Does any of this work? I don’t know. But I have noticed that sometimes I see that an affiliate who has been inactive for some time suddenly logs in again and does something. I’d like to think this is evidence that my efforts are working.

Let me finish by saying that I am always trying to think of new ways and better ways to communicate with my team. This is a dynamic situation. My thinking is changing all the time about what I think I should do in any given situation.

I am hoping that my passion, excitement, and commitment will encourage my team members to “get aboard the SFI Express” soon.

What are some ways to use Attraction Marketing to build my SFI business?

I am going to use my PASSION for SFI to fuel my Attraction Marketing campaigns. There are two aspects to this: -

1. Marketing the SFI business opportunity:

I am EXTREMELY passionate about the SFI business opportunity – so I just let my prospect see my total conviction about SFI. In fact I have to discipline myself to address their particular needs and questions rather than just give them the WHOLE story as once.

I have plenty of things to show them too – and that’s where access to a computer with an internet connection is so useful (necessary even).

2. Marketing a specific product:

I’m taking this slowly. Again I am marketing first those products that I am MOST PASSIONATE about – ones I have bought, both from SFI itself and from various ECAs.

And products that I wish I could buy for myself but can’t because my budget doesn’t stretch that far (yet).

I am also wishing to pursue those products that I wish to purchase in the future with a view to marketing them on SFI through my ECA.

Then there are products that I think would make great gifts.

Okay, so I’ve got HEAPS of products that I am passionate about that I wish to market. How do I market them?

Well, then it’s not a case of applying “Attraction Marketing” techniques so much as to LOOK at the MARKET you wish to sell into and DO WHAT IS BEST FOR THAT MARKET.

Always put yourself in your prospective customer’s shoes and just answer their needs and questions. Keep it simple, keep to true, and speak from your heart.

Remember that you are building a future business. Don’t be shortsighted. Build a reputation. Build a loyalty base. Let what you do today “speak” into your future.

In that way SFI can only get better and your business more profitable.

How do I show a prospect that there’s money to be made as an affiliate with SFI?

I do five things: -

1. Firstly, I show them my Commissions Report, see: -

This is not spectacular but it does give a truthful example of what has happened to me. And it shows my longevity in SFI – that’s a very important point to make.

The beauty of it is that I can use these monthly reports to explain the detail of how commissions are made up. And I can use it as a “base point”. It shows that SFI is for real and that every month YOU do earn a commission and it is CREDITED to you, no matter how small. SFI WORKS. It also shows my trend – UPWARDS – and that is a very important point to make too.

I also use it to address the frustrations of working in this industry – where there is so much potential but affiliates, for whatever reasons, choose to DO NOTHING and hence MISS OUT.

I think this is important because it will scare off those who are not prepared take the long view and who are not prepared to work.

2. Secondly, I show them my sponsor’s Leadership Page and discuss his badges. See: -

I’m blessed to have a very active up-line. My sponsor is awesome. And his badges show evidence of residual income even when he has not been able to be active himself over the past few months.

Teamwork is also THE strength of SFI. We are a community, so it is important to show how my team helps me grow.

3. Then I direct them to the Launchpad lessons, particularly DAY 19 “How much can I make.” See: -

This contains some industry statistics, which are very interesting. But more importantly it speaks of the exponential growth iof the industry.

4. Lastly I pull up my Genealogy (a team of over 850 PSAs and CSAs) and I compare it with my MOVERS TAB (which shows my active team – very much smaller) and I use these to show what could happen if each affiliate just did ONE thing in SFI each month.

Quite simply I choose one product, such as the 125 pack of TCredits and show what my commissions would be if each of my team just sold or purchased that one product each month. Yes, I would be earning a living income!

5. Throughout all this I answer any questions. Remember, it’s not about you. It’s about the prospect.

We each look at and work our SFI business differently.

I keep it as practical as I can. I keep it relevant. I keep it short. And I am prepared to meet with the prospect many times until they are ready to sign-up. It is not a race. There should be no pressure.

What would be a good message or letter to send to my PSAs about the new CSA Rewards Program?

I am. In fact I am trying to work out how I can increase my Standing Order (SO) before the end of February 2016 so that I can be REWARDED with EVEN MORE new CSAs.
