Movers are affiliates who are active in your team and have logged in intermittently or regularly. They are a very important part of your SFI business because they help you build your business in more ways than one. They are your workers, both PSAs and CSAs who have taken up the challenge of earning online.

I find it easy to deal with the Movers because I do not have to push them or encourage them to do the minimum, visit their SFI Homepage daily; some of them do not but they do log in and that is a good sign. This does not mean that all the Movers will continue long term in the business - it is possible that they will diminish from your Movers list when they make that decision.

I also feel that you should not overwhelm them with reminders or what to do because they know the course their business will take unless they pose a specific query or have concerns that you can help address. Leave them to work independently as far as possible because they understand the various ranks/levels within SFI. If you feel that you must say something, create competitions to help them strive for higher goals. This is what I have done to one of my PSAs recently.

Just keep close attention to the Movers progress daily and if you feel you need to point out something important, a personal E-Card would be the best way to handle them individually.

I understand the importance of having an active team which will enable me to earn a better income in SFI. I realize now that I need to advertise a lot to be able to find those few and far between affiliates who will not only support my business but they will make it on their own.

I would not say that my focus has changed from what it was when I first joined because I was aware then that I needed to sponsor affiliates. Now I am more aware of their importance.

Secondly, I have changed personally to believe that I can handle a team and motivate them equally. I enjoyed working independently and have always preferred that mode to a group environment but now I can comfortably focus on my team. It is always about my team first before me.

Thirdly, I often wondered whether I would be able to create online sales through TripleClicks. Online shopping is still seen as somewhat a mystery and/or an unreliable form of shopping in some parts of the world. This notion has since changed and I know that we are responsible for what we wish to achieve. How you do it will depend on each individual - after my first online sale, I now focus equally on TripleClicks because that is a high earner for whoever wants to make money online.

Finally, as we learn to appreciate the ups and downs of a business such as ours, we are reminded constantly - nothing worthwhile comes easy. I have thought of giving up at one point when I felt that things were not going according to how I expected them to but when you know that there is so much support from your upline team members and the Founder of the company, Gery Carson, why not persevere.

I try to penetrate into areas of marketing that others shy away from! That, in a nutshell is what I do differently now.

There is really no end to learning and therefore I do not consider that there is ever a time that you will be overloaded with information. It is really in your hands how you handle "any" information. Basically different individuals have different capabilities of assimilating information.

Some are quick on the uptake whereas some need time to understand how a particular system works. There is the absorption and retention process involved in learning-simply what do you understand and how well do you understand it.

In case of SFI there is a step by step guide of what an affiliate should do from Day 1 and my work as a Sponsor would be to explain to the affiliates NOT to:

1. Rush through the program training modules;
2. Acquire versa points without understanding how the points system works;
3. Leave tasks that they find hard to accomplish - for eg installing the banner is not easy for all;
4. Log in intermittently as this breaks the momentum of learning;
5. Delay answering the affiliates questions especially at the initial stages of joining;

These are some of the factors that will help the affiliate understand the system better and they can move at their own pace without feeling pressurized to accomplish certain tasks in a given time frame.

The Forum for me is an Educational Workshop, a Daily Newstand or a Q&A (Question & Answer) session that brings across thoughts, sentiments and feedback from affiliates globally. The major part of its existence is the presence of the Founder, Gery Carson and his team who interact with members on a daily basis. This is where you will receive upto date information on what is going on in SFI and TripleClicks as well as in the World beyond this business.

1. Visit the Forum at least a few times in the day-there is information and threads for discussions as new developments are announced and this is where your opinion matters.

2. Your concerns are not going to deaf ears - they get heard in the Forum through the ASK Gery category where you are posing questions directly to the Founder.

3. It is easy to see where you can find answers to your questions by going to the appropriate category - you can also search any topic within the Forum and this simplifies your difficulties.

4. You can also bookmark important threads which you can refer to later on or pass them to your team members.

5. There are different discussions going on every hour from affiliates who face issues that you might also have. This helps to make your journey in the business an interesting one. You are not alone, there is terrific support from everyone.

6. We have, sometimes personal issues that are highlighted by members and affiliates globally encourage and motivate the individual affiliate.

7. You learn to value the primary rule of the Forum - that is to keep discussions positive and this enhances your own performance outside SFI.

8. Participating in the discussions helps your business, you learn to write better and if this is an issue, you can discuss topics in your own language. There is no excuse for not receiving enough support.

You must have some idea of what the confusion is about and where it is coming from. Confusion comes up either when you are not sure of what is expected of you or that there are so many aspects of the business, that it is not easy to pinpoint what is important and where one should start.

Your responsibility as a Sponsor would be first to 1) understand why there is confusion and then 2) analyse the issue to be able to resolve it effectively.

1) Understanding Confusion

- This requires you to break down the queries of your team member into small units of problems;
- To be able to do this, you need to ask the right open-ended questions - for example what is it that is confusing? Do not ask questions that will give you replies in a Yes or No answer.
- It would help immensely if you can specifically look up links to solve a certain area of confusion. Send a link to them and ask them to review it and follow it up the next day with feedback from them.

This may take a while before you can handle all the confusion - you can reinforce and reiterate the points through your weekly mailer or stream posts. Now we have numerous E Cards to select from. Make use of the marketing tools.....

2) Analyse

- There may be similar sort of confusion in the entire team but I am sure that all the team members will not have a low level of understanding about the points of confusion. Some may have a better grasp of the English language and can move ahead upon one explanation. For others it may require a few more lessons.

- It helps to break down a whole of paragraphs of marketing jargon into simple language in an abridged version for everyone to follow.

- Direct them to the Forum where affiliates with similar language barriers can interact and solve a confusion.

Duplication is not a foreign word and you can explain it very simply as building a "team". The strength of the team will lie in "active" affiliates and this can be further simplified to log in to your SFI Homepage daily.

You will be able to judge how to deal with this confusion once you are familiar with a little background of your affiliates, where they are coming from and their work habits/patterns, what full time work they are involved in and their personal details that will help you deal with the problem of confusion without confusing you!

There are usually various challenges that newcomers face in their SFI business, and it's important that you simplify the concept. As it is, SFI sends out regular mailers to affiliates, so it's important to keep the newsletters simple, interesting and motivating.

You should include:

* your own experiences
* give some space for encouragement and emphasize the need to build a team with one person
* allow for space to answer questions through a live chat - give your chat contact info
* keep a theme for each newsletter (i.e., STRESS, SUCCESS, HARD WORK) or anything that you wish that will add value to your message
* provide ways to give your team an incentive to move forward - contests, competitions and improved commissions
* do not confuse or bring up topics that are already discussed by SFI - no need for repetitions

There is no harm in referring to links you have found interesting reading. For example, there are discussions on the Forum that may not be seen by other team members. Be accessible to your team mates and keep in mind the various cultures and language barriers.

I find it useful to

- keep in touch with my customers regularly and advise them of any "deals" they maybe interested in or inform them of special discount offers;

- show gratitude for their continued support by way of a thank you note or if you want it to be personal, use their email and thank them;

- add a surprise gift in their orders - and follow it up with a feedback call or inquire if there would be anything else they would like me to include in "their" wish list. This would help me keep in mind what is it that they like;

- listen to your customers when they are talking - you do not want to miss out on valuable detail that will come in handy when packing their orders; very often we miss out on important information for current or subsequent orders;

- keep notes about your customers likes and dislikes (that you will pick up in your daily conversations) - it helps to know as much as possible about your client's buying behaviour;

- suggest alternatives when a specific item is not available and carry out your promises honestly and with integrity; be professional at all times.

Do not make excuses for your mistakes, admit them and your customer will be loyal to you, always.

1. Keep duplicating and sponsoring affiliates to join your team - this is the core income generating activity and this means save some of your commissions towards regular advertising.

2. Do not become complacent, ensure that you check out your business daily, so log in everyday.

3. Invest in a co-op either through your upline or you initiate one for your team members. This will improve your chances of finding workers in your team.

4. Focus your energy on what you do best, do not fret over what is out of your control.

5. Make a decision to start up an E Commerce shop online in the early part of your business. It has many advantages and will expand your customer base as you add more products. Give your customer nothing short of the best and that means some research into the kind of products you will market on TripleClicks.

6. Ensure that you do not rely only on one income stream-there are 6 streams to explore. When one area moves slowly, your commissions from another area will keep motivating you to excel.

7. Business has its ups and downs. Do not allow this to get to you-remain positive and the results will be positive.

8. The world's population is never going to remain stagnant, it is moving up all the time; think up of ways that are different but will help you generate more leads and sign ups.

9. Never underestimate the power of team work, being honest with your customers and be courageous enough to apologize when you must. Maintain very high standards of professionalism in whatever you do.

I can still carry on with a few more good habits but the above should be your immediate focus. The rest of your habits will no doubt follow your principles!

Communication is undoubtedly a two way process and unless there is feedback, your message may not be relayed accurately or understood. This is one of the worse case scenario with affiliates who have the language barrier. However, SFI has simplified this as much as possible with the Sub-Category in the Forum where you are able to converse with your country's nationals in your chosen language.

I have the advantage of being able to converse in a series of languages, some are fluent and some help me get my point across without much difficulty. Therefore as a leader, I explain in the language that the affiliate is most comfortable with. I have also discovered an alternative to overcome the language barriers.

There are specific smart phone applications that help you translate from one language to another using simplified phrases and I try to use this. Google also provides this facility and I make sure that I listen to the pronunciation of the words to enable me to speak better than a novice. I place a lot of importance on communications and therefore I want to be sure that the affiliate has understood.

I pass on useful threads from the Forum to the affiliates that will help them appreciate the importance of communications. Keep the line of communication open for them to reach you easily and this is probably the best example to show them how to do it.

I feel that as the core of this business is having an active team, it is important to use all contacts from your spouse to generate active members therefore my first focus would be to explain to my spouse the importance of generating sign-ups.

Why do I say this? These are some of my reasons.

1. We know that it takes time to generate a sizable amount of income and therefore it is important that you guide your spouse into utilizing his/her "contacts". It will make a more positive impact and the chances of sign ups will be higher if your spouse does the marketing rather than you follow them up.

2. So, in fact you are doing the bulk of the work in SFI (which sometimes spouses do not find to be rewarding in terms of seeing results by way of tangible income).

3. Use his/her social group to organize an informal get together and you can become a host and entertain while your spouse gets you the sign ups.

4. Introduce him to TripleClicks and let him/her browse through the various products - he might like something and this will help your business.

5. In countries where commuting to work is a long wait for trains, many play games while they wait or when they are in the train - this is an additional benefit to the people your spouse will introduce to your business. Games is a relaxant for many so capitalize on this feature.

This is the beginning of your spouse's involvement and it should lead to a further commitment to help you grow!
