As we all know, ECA is an acronym for E-Commerce Associate. The program allows commercial sellers and companies of all kinds, from around the world, to market their products and services side-by-side with TripleClicks own products and services.

The internet today has made the world a global village and any business which is not currently using the internet is doing itself a deservice. So, yes I would advice that you promote the ECA program to all businesses including those that do not currently use the internet.

Personally, I would want to be the first person who introduced a company or business to the internet because sooner or later some other persons(s) might introduce that same business to the ECA program in which case you will be the looser. Since I started with SFI, I have been able to recruit two ECAs who had no internet presence and I am glad to let you know that both of these ECAs has products listed.

You have a higher probability of recruiting into the ECA program more businesses without an online presence compared to those with online presence. I'm sure that by the time you tell them of the advantages of bringing their business to TripleClicks they will grab the opportunity. Every one is into business to make profits and it is my believe that they will love the idea of making more profit using the ECA platform.

Go try your luck and spread your drag net to all businesses including those who do not currently use the internet, get them recruited into the ECA program.

I strongly believe that we should never make a decision for someone else without his knowledge or permission. HUH? I am sitting here with a pile of ECA brochures and x Cards and a town full of businesses that could use more sales. While the brochures have cost me money and I don't want to waste them, I have them to give out. I have a solution for their economic well being, and both the businesses and I would profit if they became active ECAs.

I am so tempted to look at one business and think that they would want to hear about TripleClicks and ECA program and another business and think that they wouldn't want to hear about it. And then act on my decisions, show it to those I think want to hear and not to those whom I think don't want to hear.

Instead I should approach all of them and give them a chance to turn it down. Many will not even want to hear about it, some will let you give your talk, and a few will embrace it and get in. But these may be the ones that surprise you.

Talk to all who are possible candidates to becoming ECAs. You won't have time to actually talk to all of them, but you can send a letter asking if they are interested in learning more about it. If they are already online, they may want to know why they should advertise with TC. Be able to answer them. If they are not already online with their sales, explain to them how easy it is to work with TC, and offer your computer knowledge should they need it.

It is easier to promote ECA to your local businesses than it is to promote to distant online businesses. As you gain experience and referrals, then you can progress to further localities.

You should promote ECA program.
They are not online,but why not give it a try?


Try to get in direct touch with the owner or store manager.Tell (him or her) that you have a offer about advertising and getting their business to a higher level.Note that they are maybe "full" of those offers,so be sensitive when introducing it.

Your conversation should start into direction of explaining the importance of internet nowadays.If they're not already on internet maybe they have some attitude about it (that it's not necessary thing),so be aware of that.

Generally,you should point out that there are "million" potential buyers - in your country,as well as all over the world.Another important thing to point out is that this program is ABSOLUTELY FREE for them (ECAs) - until the point when they sell something.With good combining of those two facts (free advertising and many potential buyers) through conversation I think you will get ECA in this program.


Very important:always focus on the impression that you don't want to get them signed in,but you want to help them to spread their business.


And after you speak with them,they can change their mind.
It will cost you nothing (except your free time),but it can bring you fortune.

Yes, you definitely should!

First find out why they are not online, because a lot of companies have their own website now, they use a blog if they are just a small company and not enough money to pay for a domain name.

Then explain how TripleClicks get rids of all the issues and actually would help their business a lot!

1) No money for a domain. No problem. TripleClicks is free. Just register, open your store, list your products and your are ready to sell.

2) No time to advertise the website because too busy with the store itself. Don't worry. TripleClicks has hundreds of members and thousands more if you count SFI affiliates. These people will do the advertising for you.

3) Don't know how to use the internet. They just use the computer to balance the books. Well here is where your own initiative comes in. You can offer to teach them the basics. You cannot go wrong by promoting the ECA program to any business owner whether they are on the Internet or not.

Yes you should promote the ECA program to businesses that are not online and/or do not currently use the internet if they sell or make physical products.

This could be to someone perhaps who makes their own jewellery, clothing, greetings cards and other such products. They could be someone who perhaps works from home and makes items for family and friends and they could then start selling the same items online made to order. Also people who own or run market stalls, small shops etc may be interest in selling online but was not sure of how to go about this or the best sites to use without the high costs involved.

I think a good way to do this is show them examples of ECA stores that are quite well stocked but don't sell the exact same item as they may consider it as too much competition. Although explain that there is no fee involved unless they need an ECA license (which is only a $40 one time fee) or/and they sell their items. No sale no fee is a good selling point to people who did not realize having an online store does not need to be expensive. Also explain how the items are marketed by affiliates around the world and they could target their items to their own home market or start supplying further afield.

I think this is great for people who have never sold online before. If they have no intention of ever using the internet or have no access to the internet then perhaps they could find someone who is willing to do this part of the job for them and run their TripleClicks store for them although this would have to be arranged carefully between both parties.

Hope this gives you enough incentive to get out into your local area and recruit people, you are also gaining the satisfaction that you helped someone else achieve greater rewards too.

I think you can bring them into this century by introducing them to e-commerce. It is opening a whole new market to them and it can help them to have a bigger customer base.

I think they would most probably be a better target market to you than a business that already have an online presence. If they are online already and they have a good working website they might not see the need to join TripleClicks as well.

When you sign up a new business to the ECA program - make sure of a few things

1. They have a PC with internet access.
2. They have somebody that can run with their ECA program - you want them to actually
list their products and check for orders at least once a day.
3. If they do not understand e-commerce and internet marketing you have to help them.
if you are not willing to go the extra mile to train them if necessary you should
not sign them up. Signing them up and then let them hang not knowing what to do is
a bad reflection on SFI and TripleClicks.

To sign up somebody that is not yet part of the internet might be more difficult because they tend to be scared of new ideas / the unknown - but if you have a good presentation addressing their fears before they can actually ask about it you have a better chance. If you can sell the idea to them, follow it up by supporting them if they need it.

On the other hand, there are literally thousands (possibly millions) of companies that want to be online, but have no idea of where to start. The idea of having to set up a website and everything else necessary to get online seems overwhelming to many of them.

Most certainly YES. I think stores which are not online are very good as many are loosing business with many people now buying much of what they need onlne. By obtaining those business showing them how easy it is to get their business seen globally is a great asset for your business and also a great referral. Should you introduce the ECA program to someone who you assist in getting sales by promoting his/her shop, they will refer other shops to you!

By all means introduce the ECA program to stores which are online as TripleClicks offer global exposure however little shops like arts and crafts, pottery, paintings and many others which are not online they will be grateful and you will have commission whenever they make a sale.
