Great question about how to sponsor down-line CSA's without having them feel overwhelmed.

I have found that no matter who is in your down line - it is best to communicate with everyone with the same message. I have not found double communication between leaders to be a negative experience as no two people think the same nor do two people manage their affairs the same. The more hints, tips and communication that everyone, including CSA's receive, in my opinion is better. The more tools that are provided to everyone, the better they are able to perform tasks that are necessary to make their business flourish.

I wish there was a better answer than what I have to say, You Don't.

The reason for my response is as follows:

Our focus should not be on the affiliates that leave but our focus should be on building the strength in those that are still with us. There will be recruits who leave simply because of their perspective of not being ready or not sure about the SFI way of life - FEAR is what guides their decision to leave or to become inactive.

I would suggest that your work is to prepare comments and to guide all recruits (new, novice, intermediate and even long term members) to an understanding that there is nothing to FEAR. SFI is a program based on relationships and personal development of skills that can be shared with others to ensure that dreams are achieved.

Focus on making the SFI Way of Life a Fearless Way of Living - fearless denotes champions and warriors making a path for others to guide them on a path that is all ready groomed for the next SFI affiliate to take.

Create an intro package that starts to help new affiliates, and even current affiliates, to understand that SFI is a simple way of living and yet does require some effort (in other words is not easy). Your intro package would be best designed with a simple message that is universal for all recruits to feel motivated to continue on the path that you personally have made with your SFI efforts and continue to check to be sure that affiliates do not take on other strategies that complicate and feed their Fear/s.

People will leave - be sure of this - no different than a farmer who seeds in the Spring for Fall harvest...not all seeds will take root due to so many factors and yet there are many seeds that do take root and need the attention of the Farmer to make the best Bumper Crop of the season.

I encourage you to focus on your down line members who have started to take root and not to be discouraged by the affiliates who have not taken root yet as your Leadership will shine through that down line members will see that you are fully engaged and full of concern for their efforts and SFI Life Style.

A Lifestyle change is not easy so model to them the parts that are not only easy but also share the times that you experience challenges too so that you are able to simply share that everyone is working together and not discouraged by members who happen to leave.

In active members eventually will become active due to readiness or will eventually decide to leave due to reasons that they listen to and believe in. Your role is to monitor for the readiness in some and the lack of movement of others and encourage growth by showing that you are in a relationship with them and not just in a role as team leader and he or she is a follower.

Demystify the SFI Life Style and you will have affiliates reporting back to you that he or she loves being an SFI-er

This is a great question...

With any business, succession planning is always important...being an SFI affiliate is no different. It will be important to consider what is being met by your SFI business - in other words what role does your business have with others - individuals and organizations.

Retirement has different meanings for different people so the first thing is to determine what you mean by retirement - do you mean more travel, more time with family members or simply not working your regular routine/not working at all and simply draw an income from SFI or a pension without much level of effort?

The answer to the above - what type of retirement do you want, will then guide your process in the next phase which is creating a retirement plan.

Most affiliates start their efforts with SFI so that they can earn an income to assist with paying the bills, use cash flow towards the payment of bills and possibly start saving extra funds in a rain-day fund. Once all is achieved then people will being the next phase of planning - retirement living.

I would suggest that you sit down with a note pad or note book and write down all the elements that you want to have present while you are in retirement phase - write each statement as it is in the present moment not "future tense". This part of the activity may take several days or even months so do not rush this as there is no set defined way for people to live life as a retiree. But we all wish to achieve this state in life when we get older.

When you have you list started- consider each point and profile match or not match to SFI and see where SFI can assist you with transitioning into your retirement phase. |Keep this inventory list as it will change from time to time due to circumstances that come into or leave your life - this process of Retirement Preparation will always be dynamic as what you do today may or may not what you are needing to do tomorrow.

The holidays are here, and that means there are plenty of opportunities to meet new and interesting people. Here are 4 simple tips you can use right away to have successful networking during holiday events/parties:

1. Plan ahead before going to the event ? think about which contacts are the most important to you and your SFI business, and make a point to speak to each of them during the party/event. Find out who will be going to the event; consider asking the host for an idea who was invited. Pick 3 people with whom you definitely want to meet while you are there, and don't avoid the big names.

2. Let others do the talking (you ask the questions and be an Active Listener ? Create a list of questions to ask fellow party guests to that are ice-breakers so as to get people to open up to you more. Ice-breaker questions may include but not be limited to where he/she will be spending the holidays, where he/she grew up, what he/she does for entertainment/recreation. Active listening will show the individual that you are talking with that you are interested in their feelings and who they are as a person. Once the conversation is flowing freely, then move on to more in-depth business questions such as but not limited to what type of work the individual is involved with, what challenges may have been encountered within the last 6 months.

3. Be prepared to present your SFI business in a statement that is no more than 2 sentences. Your SFI business statement should highlight career high points and top skills. Think about what's unique about what you have with a SFI business and what will make you stand out in a room full of people who are also talking about themselves. Be sure that whomever you speak with will still remember you at the end of the night.

4. The party may end, but your connection shouldn't. Following the event spend a few minutes remembering the new connections you made by tracking them in an address book or personal journal. Include reminders for yourself of interesting or remarkable things that people said or that you learned so that you won't forget them and can refer back to them in later conversations. Be sure to use social media such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to keep in touch.

Attending parties/events/community celebrations/staff socials is a great way to network and connect with new people. Make the self promise during this holiday season that you won't leave any event without having made a couple of great connections.

A good elevator pitch will be something that expreses high positive emotion that motivates some one to act.

Elevator pitch are short and to the point so it is important to prepare - not only by writing it down but be sure to verbally practice your pitch. Practice by yourself and in front of others.

The pitch is to fit the audience too - what may be a fit for those in an office building may not be the same pitch that you use when riding an elevator up to the top of a tall tower to observe from their deck.

Focus on the products that you are fully a believer in so that what resonates from your message is the emotion that moves others to act.

The Leadership Challenge is a great motivation incentive program through SFI. This program is available to all affiliates and yet not all participate.

It is important to take some time to find out from your down line membership team members as to what prevents them from participating in the Challenge.

I have been with SFI for a couple of years and have found that many affiliates may not feel ready to take on a leadership tittle so may by default not consider participation with the challenge. With this in mind, it has been helpful to send out TeamMail messages which reminds all down line members their importance with SFI and to truly let their strengths shine. When the focus is on what can be done and know-how, the affiliates immediately will see an increase in their down-line too which will have them part of the Leadership Challenge.

It is important to keep in mind that to lead it is not necessary to have a special titile BUT is important to have the skills and knowledge of how to lead others. Leading others is simply giving others the opportunity to be their best and if this means coaching or modelling or simply motivating others to bring out their best - then this is the focus.

As a entrepreneur, it may simply mean taking time to develop self first to increase self-knowledge and skills on how to be a leader (not based on title but relationship with others). Leading is a learned skill and so if you or I can teach down line members to feel comfortable with leading then there will be nothing holding them back from taking on the Challenge.

Accepting the Challenge is one part of this the other is to feel confident in the Challenge to do as well as you can.

Encourage creativity with the resources that a down line member has access to and watch them win the Leadership Challenge.

Once you are able to identify how this program has benefited you, then share this information with other PSA's so you can appeal to how you have personally benefited and then can share your experience as an example for others to duplicate.

Duplication or adaptation of strategies is how PSA's are able to build trust in the CSA Reward program and incorporate it into their SFI businesses.

You may include SFI announcement information by sharing links with PSA's where he or she may locate information so can do further review about the program from SFI's own resource listing.

Sharing your experience of how this benefited you and supplement with facts and details from SFI fosters motivation for PSA's to be active builders of SFI.

Using the marketing tools that SFI has created for all of us is one way I promote the games.

Another approach has been playing the games when I am using public transit such as the train or bus. Rush hour has been a great way to have an audience when I play such games. I will play games and then comment to a fellow commuter, a complete stranger, to ask them what they think the answer will be. More times than not I start to play games "with a friend" and when I am ready to leave, I will provide a marketing product that has a link for my "co-player" to use so he or she may continue to play the game.

The strategy above has created, for me, community connection as when I get on the bus or train at the same time I will see these people again and we greet each other; promotes a game to another person. Travel during rush hour has proven to give me a captive audience so it does not hurt to use a "game" to talk to a fellow commuter.

There are several ways that SFI shares as a way to achieve rank of an EA2 consistently.

Strategies that are shared by SFI are basic for all to use and so is up to each affiliate or team to create new strategies to add to what SFI discusses there is no replacement as all what SFI shares is accurate and effective.

It is important to consider with downline members what skills they have and what is available to them on a local level. At times, ideas shared by one may or may not be a strategic fit for everyone. Example of this would be the Wave3 program - since it is primarily a program to use with a vehicle it may be adapted in a way which stills shows respect to SFI but is a strategy that the affiliate can do. So for affiliates who may not have a vehicle, they can still use the bumper sticker in a different way such as asking a family member to affix this to his or her car so that marketing can still occur. I know of an affiliate whose vehicle was in an accident and unable to get finances in place to get a second vehicle so opted to place the Wave3 decal in the front window of his home so that delivery people, visitors, and even other services such as the cleaning company staff see the decal and inquire what it is about.

Recruitment as a marketing plan can be done by using various programs such as PSA's, CSA's, ECA's, PRM's and even musicians. Each program requires more people so be sure to consider "team building" being more than simply focusing on getting more PSA's and CSA's.

If down line members have comfort and knowledge on how to have a web presence with the use of Social Media tools such as Twitter, Snap Chat, Blogging, Vlogging, Instantgram, Facebook, Pintrest, Google Circles, or even the creation of landing pages - then encourage them to be creative with such skills to embed TripleClicks and SFI into all such Social Media Posting.
