I do not have any PSA's that I know personally who I could speak to face to face, so all my communication with my PSA's is via email.

In my experience, unless a PSA is committed to SFI from the start, trying to communicate and find out a little about them or their goals, let alone getting a response, is like drawing blood from a stone.

When you get one of the rare gems, it is not difficult to discuss their goals, as they are open to sharing their needs and receiving suggestions,

"What are the best ways to set up proper communications with my new PSAs?"

It is first and foremost in importance to send your new PSA a warm and welcoming ‘Welcome’ letter or E-Card, as soon as possible. I prefer the E-Cards as they seem more personal.

Don’t overload your welcome email with too much detail, but set them on the right path of ‘getting started’.

If you see (through your daily check-up of your genealogy) that they have become active
