I am fairly good at some trivia categories and very poor at others. I have played a few Knock Out Trivia (KOT) games. Depending on the type of questions asked, I have made runner up at least 5 times now. Questions on math, science and earth I can easily whiz on through. However, questions about pop-cultures, such as movies, actors, and the likes, have instantly knocked me out. Interestingly, I have read many complaints in The Forum about the disadvantage of not being from the United States regarding the pop-cultural questions and I am from the United States. It just so happens I am not interested in those things.

I have been having fun experimenting with Gold Streak, although my longest streak is 9 thus far. It has been an interesting learning experience for me, to see how other people think and to realize I have a hard time remembering to pick the LEAST, which is why I keep ending the game.

Example: Time Machine
I have tried this game a few times, but have come away disappointed. Does this mean the game is not fruitful or useful? Ask the winners of the game this very same question, you will get a different answer. All it means is I am not good at predicting events I do not understand.

Example: Pick the Price
This is another game similar in experience for me as Time Machine. Once again, does this mean this game is not fruitful or useful? Again, ask the winners and you will get a different response. Again, it just means I am not skilled at predicting events I do not understand.

Therefore, it would be unrealistic for another person to tell you which is the best Eager Zebra game to generate TCredits, VP and MRP is for you, because you may not be skilled at that game, while you might be skilled at another game the person might think is less gainful. The best way to find which Eager Zebra game is fruitful for you is to experiment with each of them and find out which ones you have the skills at and keep playing them. The more you play the games, the more your skills will build and you will generate the TCredits, VP and MRP you are seeking; however, if you give up because you keep loosing, you will never learn to generate those items.

Hint: Knock Out Trivia gives you a great opportunity right now to strengthen your ability to learn how to build trivia skills with the free games it offers. Make it a point to play the free games, you will begin to build skills of your own on how to play trivia games. As you build those skills, start challenging yourself more, buy playing a TCredit once in awhile. When you become a runner-up, challenge yourself more. This is how you build any type of skills. Put simply:

-Know about the subject being asked.
-Follow SFI's guidelines.
-Submit answers in English. (Utilize a translation program)
-Do not include personally identifiable information.
-Answer the asked question thoroughly.
-Answer the question with correct information.
-Write in a friendly, knowledge tone.
-Use personal experience.

SFI listed an Answer Guidelines on the ASK SC Answer Submission page which is prudent to follow if you want to receive more "yes" votes, then "no" votes in regards to the question, "Was this answer helpful?" for answers you submit. These guidelines are useful when followed, as they help individuals write a more easy to read answer.

When I read submitted answers, I often come across many which have been submitted completely in another language other then English. I speak and read three languages, so this does not matter to me; however, #3 of the Answer Guidelines reads: All answers must be submitted in English. It concerns me that a submitter did not follow the guidelines and took time to find a way to utilize a translation program for assistance. I know it takes time to learn how to use a translation program; however, this is part of being in SFI/online system. In reading answers, I can tell when a submitter has attempted to utilize a translation program, because at times I will read a submission which will have some other language intersperse with the English. This is okay for me because this person has attempted to adhere to guideline #3.

With Answer Guideline #5, I often find myself asking, "Why did this person submit this answer?" Answer Guideline #5 reads: The best answers are thorough and shed new light on the topic and/or help the reader fully understand the solution using clear examples, metaphors, analogies, etc. When I am reading submissions that simply state what every other members are stating, I will answer no to the question, "Was this answer helpful?" Why do I answer no, because the answers are not being helpful but repetitive. Answers which might contain similar "repetitive" answers as others, but expound on their answers, by giving examples or share personal experience that help me understand the situation in a new way are more likely to receive a "yes" response to the question, "Was this answer helpful?"

I am aware, some affiliates prefer shorter answers so they don't have to 'waste' their time voting on answers, but if the answer cannot be fully answered in a few sentence to do justice, then no purpose has been served to the person asking the question or our SFI community as a whole. Therefore, guideline #5 needs to be adhered to more often, then a single paragraph quickly written in hopes to earn VersaPoints.

The last Answer Guideline I would like to point out at this time is #2: Answers may not include any personally identifiable information (i.e., your name, contact information, personal Website, etc.). Many answers I read are written in a salutation form, basically a letter form to the person who wrote the question; therefore, it is often closed with the persons name who wrote the answer. According to guideline #2 this is not allowed. In fact this guideline is even highlighted in red to catch the attention of members. This is linked with SFI's rules of no solicitation/cross-solicitation, along with fair voting in ASK SC.

I have also found submissions which are written in a friendly, engaging manner; yet, with a sound of knowledge are ones I tend to vote, "yes" on. I also make sure the answers are accurate, meaning there is not something inaccurate being passed on within the SFI system. Such as I recently read that all the Zebra Games cost to play. This is an inaccurate statement. It is inaccurate because if you read the rules, written in the rules it states: "There is no cost to play." Due to the inaccuracy of the answer written, I voted "no" for the answer.

I have managed to earn VersaPoints from some of my submissions; however, earning VersaPoints is not the reasons I have submitted answers. I entered answers on subjects I felt I had something to share. Perhaps this is the most important part of the equation. Don't just submit an answer because you want votes to get VersaPoints, but to contribute to the knowledge base of SFI's Community.

You are the only one who will know when you have become successful in SFI and TripleClicks. Every individuals have different goals and desires when they joined SFI/TripleClicks; therefore, they will all have different ideas of success. One person's idea of success may be monetary: I have succeeded when I am earning a specific amount of income each month. While another's person's idea of success might be internal feeling of accomplishments: I have succeeded when I enroll so many new Personal Sponsored Affiliates (PSA).

Therefore, asking someone else when you will know you have become successful at something is futile. You need to figure out what your main goal is or basically what is it you ultimately want to achieve with SFI/TripleClicks. Once you know what your main goal is, then figure out how you are going to work towards that goal and start the steps of working towards achieving that goals. Once you have reached you main goal, you alone will know whether or not you have been successful.

A key to remember about goals though is that over time our goals often change as we tend to change ourselves. Our interest do not always stay the same, so do not be afraid to adjust you goals as needed to reflect what you might later see as success for yourself, because only you know when you are a success.

You will know when you feel successful! I could tell you, you are successful right now for having signed up with SFI in the first place, but if you do not feel successful, then you are not. You have to feel successful, in order to be successful. So, you are the only on who will know when you are successful.

Long term goals are going to be as individual to each affiliates. When we each signed on to SFI we were asked what our #1 goal was for joining. I have seen affiliates answers vary from “to get out of debt” and everything in between “to be rich.” The thing we need to remember is SFI is an international company, where affiliates come from a vast array of different cultures, economic background and needs. Therefore, their long term goals will be individual to them.

However, there are some basic goals in SFI which will help affiliates to grow within SFI. Goals we are reminded of through the forum and other ASK SC answers. These goals/tasks are the daily log-in to complete the tasks of reading the tabs, which help us learn about SFI and become familiar with the workings and “how to” of SFI. Then there are the monthly goals we can set, which is one of the daily tabs we review to help us keep on track with our goals. These monthly goals can help us to learn how to do advertising to bring new affiliates, who in turn will help us to build our teams and grow our own SFI business, along with advertising TripleClicks.

Through the monthly tab, we see our long term goals listed that we set when we signed up wit SFI, which we can always adjust. Goals are fluid. We can adjust goals as needed. As we work on a goals we may find it is not exactly what we need to work on, but there is a more appropriate goal we should work towards. It is okay to set or reset our goals. Another thing about our goals is the time limit we set may have been to lenient or strict. This is a benefit of goal setting. We can learn from them. This is what I mean by goals are fluid; they are adjustable. Sometimes we need to give ourselves more or less time on a goal.

It is important to review our goals, see where we might need to adjust them and reset our goals which will help us reach our long term goals. The importance of the daily, weekly and monthly goals are to help us reach our long term goals. They are not separate from our long term goals. They should all be working together to help reach our #1 goal for joining SFI.

Another important thing to remember about goals: They can be helpful or hurtful, depending how we use them. Goals are to help us accomplish our desires, NOT to beat us done when we failed to reach them. We should never feel we have failed when we do not reach our goals. We should use it as a learning time and build from it.

So, now that I have written a lecture, I will return to your question once more. The long term goal being set by an affiliate will be as individual as each affiliate is individual. You need to decide what it is you want, where you want to go with your SFI business and how you will determine to get there, then set your goals. It is your long term goals you should set first, then break them down into the smaller goals of yearly, monthly, weekly and daily goals. But remember, we can always change our goals, including our long term goals, because our needs and desires will change.

As I read your question, I wondered what you meant by “no success.” Success can be small increments and mean different things to different individuals. I too have been in SFI for over a year. I have seen small successes, but no monetary success. Therefore, I wonder if you are speaking monetary wise in regards to no success. The best thing to do is look at your plan for success, which is basically your business plan.

Every business has a business plan they work by to help them towards success. If you do not have a business plan, the this is where you need to start. Sit down and write a plan on how you are going to achieve the success you want.

When writing a business plan, the first thing you want to do is picture the end product or state you want to achieve - your success. Once pictured, then you need to break down the steps on how you are going to get to the end state. After you have broken down how you are going to get to the end state – success; then get to work on your plan.

If you already have a business plan and you are not seeing the success you expected by now, then you need to review your plan to see where there is a problem and revamp your business plan. The way to revamp you plan is by asking yourself questions:

-Am I putting in enough hours into my business?
-Am I advertising in the correct venues?
-Am I sending time in the correct areas of SFI and TripleClicks?
-Am I bringing in the correct types of affiliates which I can work with in my downline or am I simply just bringing in numbers to fill in my genealogy?
-Am I following SFI’s Rules of Success or simply trying to write the book of success on my own?

These are a few sample questions. You need to come up with your own. More importantly, you need to be honest with your answers if you want to continue progressing.

Lastly, you need to ask yourself honestly what you want to do with SFI; are you willing to continue investing the time and money it takes to build a business for success. All successful companies will tell you their first 3-5 years were their hardest. Those years were their building up years and often they wondered if it was worth the journey. However, look at the big companies now and ask yourself the question – Is it worth it?

We have been taught work will gives us what we need – food, shelter, clothing. We forget work as a community lightens our burdens, quicker and easier than working by ourselves. Interestingly, we are already engaged in duplication every day, but do not view our daily interactions with others as duplication. As an example, when we teach children how to live in our societies, we are duplicating our knowledge/skills to the next generation. This is exactly what we are doing in SFI when we share our skills/knowledge with new affiliates (children to a new system), thus duplicating on to the next generation (our teams). By engaging in duplication in SFI we are reminding ourselves work as a community lightens our burdens and helps us sustain progress.

We could guess at the different reasons many people who joined SFI do not advance in SFI, but it comes down to one thing: They made their own decision.

When we read the SFI training and the Rules of Success, Gery explains the 80/20 rule. This rule can be found in any venture, whether its SFI or trying out a new product, like new drink. 80% will look and maybe try, while 20% will do. If we consider there are one million affiliates in SFI, than only 200,000 people are doing the work that will advance them in SFI. Thus, we see the many, many, many affiliates (800,000), who joined to look and try, but are not advancing.

Some reasons for not advancing can be the people are 'tire kickers,' have personal problems which interfered with their ability to focus on SFI, limited finances, or unrealistic expectations of SFI. This being said, it still comes back to everyone making their own choice.

Remember the saying: You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot force him to drink.

What I have written may seem harsh, but it is reality. We need to remember people have their own individuality, this includes their own needs and issues we are not aware of, along with their own choices. We are accountable for our own actions, which are results of our own choices. So, continue to provide encouragement to
everyone, both those who are advancing and those who appear to have checked out, because we do not know what will encourage them to begin advancing in SFI.

The following example shows: 1. Everyone make their own choices. 2. We can guess, but we do not know why people stop SFI. 3. We are accountable for our own actions.

Without knowing who reads my team emails, I send out weekly team letters. One day I received an email from a CSA. He explained he emailed his Sponsor several times, but got no response, so chose to email me. He stopped working SFI a month after joining, due to health, but wanted to start up again. He asked if he had to start at the very beginning, redoing the training he already completed. I explained he could start from where he was at, but it would benefit him to review the training he already completed. I explained it was his choice to review the previous training and reminded him what the results might be if he continued without a good foundation.

Review of what example shows:
1-Individual choices made:
CSA Choices: ask for help from sponsor, continue to seek help when he got no response.
CSA Sponsor's Choices: not respond to a PSA.
My Choices: weekly team letters, answering CSA email.

2-CSA stopped due to health issues, affecting his advancement.

3-Accountability of Actions (Results):
CSA: continues with his progress in SFI.
CSA Sponsor: did not support a PSA, who has told SFI he wants a new Sponsor.
Myself: continued contact with this CSA, confirmation the weekly team letter are read by some and are helpful, including reminders I want to help my PSA and CSA, along with encouragements to contact me in the letters.

I have had each as a standing order by themselves at one time. My opinion is a standing order of TCredits has benefited me most then a standing order of IAHBE and S-builder.

I enjoyed reading the information in IAHBE; however, the reading did little to help me advance my SFI business. As for the S-Builder, all the PSA I obtained through S-Builder are inactive. Some even opted out of SFI.

Yet, with the standing order of TCredits, I have been able to advance my progress in SFI. TCredits has allowed me to participate in PriceBender Auctions, purchase items on TripleClicks, which in turn has helped my VersaPoints grow in SFI to obtain specific ranks each month.

Still, what I have found to be best for me, may be different for each member, as each member has different needs in helping their SFI business grow.

Winners never quit!

Have you heard this saying before? Think of the athletes most of our societies idealize. How did they get to the point of success? They did not quit, even when they might have sustained an injury during training or a game. They simply allowed themselves time to heal and preserved.

Often we become frustrated because our expectations are not being met. However, upon further review of what we are doing, we are often what is standing in our way of accomplishing our expectation. So to answer the question, "What did you do to keep pushing forward?" I have to keep asking myself am I a Winner?
