In my opinion – yes, absolutely.

I used to send a ready-made, and rather long welcome letter to all new PSAs, packed with information how to get started, what to expect, etc. It actually contained no personal info and sounded more like a textbook. I realized that very few affiliates actually responded to the mail. Now I believe that most of them didn’t even bother to read it.

Then I changed my approach and now I write totally personal and brief welcome letters to each new affiliate. I write them ‘on the spur of the moment’, introduce myself briefly and make reference to affiliate’s country or what he/she already did on VP ledger, in order to show that I’m a real person and am going to treat the affiliate as a real person. My mails are spontaneous and joyful and produce much better results. I think that people feel encouraged by the fact that you are real and pay attention to them. The only facts about business I include in the welcome mail are: to go for Fast Track within 24h and my personal contact details, including Facebook address.

I think that welcome e-cards provided by SFI are great, but they often go to spam section and new affiliates just don’t see them, so I don’t use them for welcome letters anymore.

Of course, when you don’t have time to write personal e-mails, go for team mail – it’s better than nothing, but then try to show up as a real person on the next convenient occasion.

You may send a couple of free TCredits to your chosen, active downlines, as a stimulating reward for their efforts. Once they accumulate their TCredits from T-Time, Daily Grand, you, etc., they will start thinking about the best way to use them.

You can also set up a special offer for your downlines on your Leadership Page, e.g. to share the costs of one S-Builder co-op with five of them who are the first to apply. That would cost only $4 per person and I'm sure more than five would apply.

Tell them to look at all your badges, and explain that you got there because you invested a little bit, but then earned much more by making smart moves.

There must be many, many more ideas. Anyway, always lead by example instead of trying to persuade them into investments.

Well, both are equally important. However, PSAs may be regarded as a long-term and steady investment, if you do play your sponsoring role well. Show them the way from day 1, point out the benefits of joining SFI and TripleClicks, be available for guidance and support. Soon enough, those among them who are serious about this job will put the pieces together and find their way to success.

ECAs may bring you profit, depending on what they sell and how they do it, and it may also be a goldmine. But then again, you can't influence their work and you can only rely on luck. Still, the profit they bring may come faster than from PSAs, so I advise to pay attention to both.

I believe that most of us face the same problem in the second or third month of membership. You may become discouraged at that time because it's much harder to collect action VP than in the first month, PSAs are not so easy to find as you expected, and you don't feel like investing much money in the business at the very beginning.

Patience is the key! I reminded myself that this is a long-term business, that all I really need to do right away is maintain my EA2 status, while waiting for PSAs and ECAs to turn up. I never stopped doing my daily tasks and playing games, reading SFI news, Forum posts, getting new ideas. But I also placed bids at some DP auctions to pile up my MRP, and advertised a lot. After a while, I availed with some 'capital' in terms of TCredits, MRP, downlines, etc. That's what gave me strength to go on, as I was reassured that you can only win as the time goes by, provided that you read and understand the way the system works. Now I'm determined to stay on track!

First of all, you need to monitor your downlines closely, every day, and you will notice the moment when most of them get stuck and don't know what to do next. Now, that's the right time for setting up a competition!

If you are a beginner yourself, and not able to offer some spectacular prizes, you can offer 5 free TCredits to the first downline who confirms his/her EA status that month. I remember it when my Co-Sponsor sent me 5 free TCredits as a reward for my advance in the first two weeks, I was so thankful!

I also find it a very good idea to propose sharing the costs of S Builder co-op with a downline who recruits the most PSAs or advances to the next rank.

The timing for competition is of crucial importance. The goals you set for them shouldn't be to hard to attain, and the prizes should be such as you can afford.

Hi, Abraham!

Any communication is a two-way process, so the frequency of your communication with your sponsor depends on both of you. If your sponsor shows willingness to assist you, you should certainly accept his/her help. And if you find yourself stuck with some activity or can’t fully understand something, your sponsor is supposed to be the first person to ask for help. But, not all sponsors are the same, so if you feel like your sponsor doesn’t have time or patience to help you out, you should probably reduce your communication down to the necessary. There are other people in your upline who are maybe more willing to teach you.

However, I suggest you should always try first to find the answers in SFI Basics, Launchpad, Forum, even the Glossary or other places within SFI site where you can find general info. SFI has recently introduced the browser at the top of your Homepage where you can simply type in the key words and find what you are looking for. I say this for two reasons:

1. It’s good for you to learn your way about SFI site, as you will need some info on daily basis, and the sooner you discover all the available info pages the sooner you’ll become independent. Through browsing and learning, you will familiarize yourself with the program and make yourself able to teach your own downline. You don’t want to rely on your sponsor too much, it’s not good for you.

2. Your sponsor may have many PSAs or CSAs who are looking for his/her attention, and maybe doesn’t have much time for individual work with each of you. He/she is just like a teacher in a big class, so just imagine you’re one of the students in his class and behave accordingly. If you are good in what you’re doing and a fast-learning, you’ll draw your teacher’s attention and probably get some extra guidance.

Well, I must say that I like to play with my text ads and have tried out many.

What seems to be working the best is emphasizing that this is not a get-rich-scheme, or that I don’t promise them to become rich over night. Do you find this absurd? Quite the contrary – just take a look at the ads on Facebook, for example, most of them use phrases like: ‘get rich’, ‘make money instantly’, ‘incredible’, ‘amazing’, ‘the best’, etc. If you ask me, I would never click on an ad like that because it insults my intelligence. It’s boring and sounds like scam because every intelligent person knows that there is no such thing as getting rich over night. So, I like to make my ads sound realistic and that’s how I attract serious and clever people who are ready to work for a long time.

The crucial difference for me is that I am the master of my destiny. I have the freedom to work as much as I want, and I'll be rewarded accordingly. I find that feeling stimulating, it makes me work harder and I love it. And it also allows me to organize my family life without hassle, as I choose my own working hours.

If you have repeatedly tried to contact a PSA but haven’t received any feedback, one of the reasons may be the language barrier. Particularly so if you notice that he/she is logging in regularly and trying to find the way. In such cases, it’s most probably a good idea to reassign that PSA to someone from his/her own country as that would be beneficial for both of you.

But, if you have already determined that there is no language barrier and the PSA is doing a good job, I don’t see why you would want to reassign him/her to anyone else.
After all, if you’re considering reassignment, you can always ask the PSA how he/she would feel about it, to help you make the decision.

When you’re a beginner, $100 sounds like a lot of money. Nevertheless, no matter how much money you wish to invest into a business, the idea is always to make more money out of it! So, this is very good question, and one needs to think carefully and make some calculations in order to use the money in the best way possible.

Here’s what I would do:

FIRST:
1 As I find that TCredits are the most valuable asset here, I would certainly go for 125 TCredits SO;
2 Then I would use the TCredits to get additional TCredits at auctions. I would be very careful in monitoring the auctions and developing a bidding strategy;
3 When I acquire, say, 300 TCredits at an auction, I would then bid for S-Build Co-op, PSAs and CSAs, as long as I avail with TCredits.
That way, I would multiply the $36.25 investment I made into 125 TCredits SO – through the 1600 VP gained for SO, 125 + 300 VP gained by bidding, matching MRP, acquisition of downline members and setting up the team. Isn’t that magnificent?

Now, I would be left with approximately $63.

SECOND:
1 Purchase Gift Cards (app.$30), and offer them with my ads for TripleClicks, participate in Daily DistribuSTAR competition and hopefully get some PRMs;

That would leave me with $33.

THIRD:
2 Set up a competition for PSAs (and maybe CSAs as well) and distribute Gift Certificates to the best ones. Nothing can stimulate downline members to work harder than monetary rewards;
3 Set up an advertising co-op for a paid advertising campaign!

This sounds like a perfect plan to me. If only I could have those extra $100!
