It is a very valuable way to contact other successful affiliates, pick their minds and share and compare info on how to better and faster grow our downlines. Even though we don't earn any commission or VP's for being connected to a2a friends, but it definitely helps in building our business.
In my initial days, I was really inspired by one of my a2a friends. He gave me a lot of moral support in building my SFI business.
You can always discuss few important points with your a2a friends and get some useful tips and information from them.
But at the end of the day, it all depends who do you choose as your a2a friend.

A2A is helpful to affiliates in a number of ways. The main reason is that you have access to your a2a friends for questions. They are available when your sponsors are not. You can also find a2a friends in your local area to pool together and do advertising, meetings and or co-ops. A2A gives you access to hundreds and thousands of people that you wouldn't know or be able to talk to for ideas and networking.
There are many uses of A2A
To find out members who have experience in the field you are looking for assistance.
ask them to help you in way of explaining how they used the methods of marketing to develop their business.
look for their primary goal and check if you can help them through your sfi business
if you have PSA and CSA of different country or language, you can take help of A2A in that country to understand regional issues.
A2A can help you in improving your business with SFI because you get to interact and ask your friends about something you are confused of. You can also learn from their experiences, on how they manage to achieve their goals every month. Furthermore, they can also inspire and motivate you to take your business to a higher level especially if they are consistent EA's or Team Leaders. They can be great influencers.

a2a, doesn't help you with your business directly. What I mean is you cant earn affiliates or VP or Tcredits using a2a.
It helps your business by using it. You can talk with your a2a friends and exchange opinions and ideas. One of your a2a friends might give you one tip that will change your SFI business. It's also a good way to ask something you don't understand and someone might be able yo help you.

Every legitimate business has a board of directors. Even though this is an Internet Marketing business, it should still have a "board."
A board of directors' main job is to be the sounding board for the decisions of the company. Your A2A's are a good "sounding board" for you to make some informed and well-thought out decisions.
