A website format is easier to train your team because you can make static pages for step by step training, and have a default landing page with lead capture form so you can qualify prospects and pass on to SFI people who are ready to work and already know the score.
But even a website needs a blog. A Blog with it's ping tools and rss feeds alert search engines on auto pilot that there is new content on the site and the comments sections keep your business social and allow user feedback and questions.
A Blog forward format can still have static pages like my main blog but it changes the presentation of your home page and makes you use a pop-up or sidebar widget to display your lead capture form, often putting this lead gathering to the side or bottom of the page.
No matter what I beg you to do yourself a favor and get a paid blog with a owned domain name. Don't use free services because people will not trust you, and the providers can decide what links you can and can not have on your site. Ask anyone on Blogger about how their SFI links no longer work on their blogs.
