The most popular blogging sites that are free, of course, are Blogger and WordPress. It is important to check the “Terms of Service TOS” when choosing because WordPress states the following in their terms of service: “Sites whose primary purpose is not original content but rather driving traffic to affiliate storefronts will be banned as spam. Promoting affiliate links through comments or the support forums is also considered spam.”
WordPress states that if you want to have a monetized blog, you are required to pay a web host. Therefore, to have the most control AND have the most effective site is that of a hosted website. There are many hosting companies to choose from and since it is a very competitive business, you can easily find one that is relatively inexpensive. This will then allow you full control over your content, including having a blog and a landing page for the purpose of driving traffic to your SFI site.
