People buy products for 2 main reasons - they desire a particular result or they have a problem that needs solving. In other words, their primary motive in buying something is because it has a perceived benefit for them. It will either solve a problem they have or it will give them a result they want.

Once they've established that the product you're offering does either or both of those things, the next thing they're going to consider is credibility - do they trust you. Will you provide the goods or service you're selling, is the product reliable or will you just rip them off.

Even then, you still have one more important hurdle to overcome before you can begin to think that you've made a sale. Is what you're offering relevant to their current circumstances? Yes, you might be trying to sell ice to Eskimos which solves their problem of what to do when all their ice melts in a global warning caused heat wave, and as you seem to be a very trustworthy type of person, they believe you'll deliver the promised truckloads of ice to them BUT unfortunately if they don't need ice right at the moment, they're not exactly going to be beating a path to your door to buy it from you.

So how do you discover which TripleClicks products your Eskimo friends would buy? First of all, you need to have, or develop, the skill of asking the right types of questions at the right time, patiently and skillfully. Your questions should not put the person on edge or annoy them because that's the quickest way to lose a sale. This is a really good question.
Advertising TripleClicks products is an excellent way of accumulating income, if you know where and what to advertise. As for myself, I started by examining offers posted by others on Facebook - it was an easy way to see what kind of products attracted people to leave their comments. After a while, I have decided to advertise the following:
a) products that can be great gifts (Christmas gifts, birthday presents or given for Valentine's Day)
b) products that include free shipping - for customers in Europe, for example, this is one of the most appealing things to decide what to buy
c) "universal" products, something that is always admired, such as jewellery for women, or gadgets for men.
Of course, when you have to make the final decision, always bear in mind who you are selling a particular product to, and you will be happy with the result.

When you are dealing with people face to face it is easy to find out what products they would be interested in by simply asking them. I have found that the majority of the people that I asked about their product interest would state items that I know are listed in TripleClicks.

When dealing with people on a NON personal level, like through the Internet, classified ads in newspapers, and the like. It is next to impossible to determine what products they are interested in without searching for specific groups of people that are already using similar products that you wish to sell.

This is done by using demographics designed to target the customers that you need to reach. Most of this kind of advertising is going to be costly if it isn’t done correctly. The more you know about your customer and your product the more effective your ad will be in attracting those who are interested in your product.

You can try targeting “groups” that would be most likely using a similar product in social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Linked-in and many more. This can end up being time consuming and expensive if using paid ads.

The way I am getting set up now – is to build my own website-blog combination which will promote the products I wish to sell.

When I advertise I can run email campaigns targeting specific groups who would be interested in the line of products I have to offer and use the URL of my site or blog. When they visit my site they will find a host of products listed that they may be interested in. Using this method I will not have to depend on “one” specific product.

One other way that does not cost as much as demographic targeting is to purchase a mailing list of people who have used a similar product in the past 3 months. You purchase the list and mail post cards to the people leading them to your site or subscribe to your post on your blog – and when you can gain their friendship and trust you can offer your products. This is an old system but it still works, and usually with better results than email campaigns.

I think a good idea to find out if a product would be of interest to others is to post it on one of your networking sites. If you cannot post a link within, post a picture of it with a description and ask what they think. You may want to offer a contest that of their honest input you can tell them you will put their name in a hat to win a $12.00 gift card.
(Everyone wins one!) That way you have their permission to send them something they may want, then you can give them more information about the item/s in question.

You can also ask your friends, co-workers and family what they think about the product/s you are questioning.

You could copy the URL/s and place it or them in a click trade site or another advertising site. If you sell something you know if it is a sell able product.
Try to stay within a share site listing that deals with what you are offering. Vitamins = Health site. Some site owners will let you post a link for free. Just remember to use your tracking key codes.

Your question sounds as if you were targeting one individual or a small group of potential customers.

First, if your aim is to sell to one person or a small group, just ask them open-ended questions about their taste, their hobbies, their desires, the things and activities that give them the most fun.

Then, provide the appropriate solution to what you have discovered.

In other words, find out about their major personal interests.

Tripleclicks has close over 100,000 products to choose from. Very likely, you will find the item(s) that may please them.

But again, this approach is a narrow and will not result in large sales numbers. It may be more efficient to approach the questions of MRP sales: sales of Tripleclicks products and services, with a broader objective, targeting a much larger audience.

The only way to know for sure what a person is interested in is to ask the question.

But there are many ways of getting a general idea. For example, if the person is fashion-conscious, they may be interested in some of the clothing or jewelry available through TC. If they always have their MP3 player on, they may be interested in the song-of-the-month program, or downloading songs from the many talented people who compete in that competition. If the person is an avid reader, there are many books you could guide them towards, both fiction and non-fiction.

The key is communication.

If you can get a conversation going, and listen closely, most people will tell you enough about themselves to give you an idea what excites them.

It also helps to be familiar with what is on offer, and how easily things can be obtained where they are. For example, I do not live in north America, so a lot of the products I might like to buy are either unavailable to me due to local import regulations, or else the shipping costs make them prohibitively expensive.
