When talking to prospective ECAs I tell them that TripleClicks is an online mega-mall where they can have their own shop. I tell them that TripleClicks has a sales force whose task it is to find customers for the ECAs in TripleClicks. I explain that SFI is the sales and marketing arm of TripleClicks and that all SFI affiliates are actively trying to promote and sell the products of ECAs.
My prospects are told that when they join TripleClicks, they will have over a million people seeing their products who may either buy for themselves because they earn valuable points and member reward points for buying from their own store; or they will be actively looking for new customers outside of TripleClicks to buy their products. I explain that SFI affiliates are trained in sales and marketing, and many build their own websites promoting products within a certain niche in which they are interested, or regularly explain about and advertise products from TripleClicks' ECAs in their own niche blogs.
I tell my prospective ECAs that they have absolutely nothing to lose by opening a shop in TripleClicks, and will have the marketing strength of a million SFI affiliates at their service for free. They can only stand to gain.
