I know some sponsors feel it is a waste of time to pursue inactive affiliates - I could not disagree more if I tried.
Do not give up on anybody as long as they are on your Genealogy list. Once they are removed by SFI because they are not active or if they opted out you stop trying to get them to work.
When you are first assign as an affiliate's sponsor or co-sponsor you give them that extra bit of attention and help. If it becomes clear that you get no reaction and they stay inactive you stop the extra effort but you continue to include them in your newsletters and announcements (like a competition or a challenge). One of your mails might just bring them back - that is how my sponsor peaked my attention. I signed up, did a few things and stopped. She kept on sending newsletters and one day I saw something, was curious and came back. I never missed another day for almost 2 years now.
Just remember to appreciate your movers and be there for them but do not completely write off your inactive members
