the most important thing when it comes to relations between people is the first impression, so you have to come up with a catchy introducing line in order to get your affiliate even open the message and then get their intention.
How to get their full attention? Try as best as you can to explain the business to them in positive aspect, offer them help and support and ask of them to tell you if they are satisfied so far, what do they need, is everything clear to them, any question you ask then requires their respond.
Now, you do your job the best you can but do not feel disappointed if they do not answer; from my experience, the very most of them just sign in and never show up again.
But be persistant and the success will come :)
