I made a spreadsheet with the name of the resource in the first column, the key code number I have assigned to it: in the second column, and then several empty boxes after that to keep track of the daily or weekly tally.
Then, I copied that spreadsheet onto a new page, renumbering the resources for TripleClicks ads. That way, I can place multiple ads in each resource for Affiliates and products, keeping a separate tally for each. This is a real time saver.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR HIT TRACKING EVERY SATURDAY, at least! The system resets itself on Sunday, and you will lose your count for the whole week.
Armed with this knowledge, you can easily see which sources are giving you good traffic. If the high traffic source has paid ads, in addition to free ones, you may want to invest some money there for even better exposure.
