Using SFI's Tracking System, your able to effectively and efficiently organize and track all your advertising efforts over any given period of time.

Understanding how to utilize the full benefits of using SFI's tracking system has many approaches and could be based on how you personally organize and track your own efforts. Everyone develops their own techniques over a period of time, but what I would suggest in the meantime to get a better idea of the guidelines we're to follow when tracking our efforts (i.e what codes are, and how to use them),

To start, I would suggest starting out small, and building your tracking efforts from there. For week 1, you can start by inserting different tracking codes as described in the above article for different areas, or different countries, or even different advertising sources; then, add to your list as time moves on. The tracking system can be used for a wide variety of such uses. Its up to us to determine how we as affiliates want to use the tracking system to better our business and how we want to track our efforts on an ongoing basis, and also to determine for ourselves what methods that are easy for us to use, then continue using them and build upon our efforts from there.

I suggest that you add a KeyCode to any advertising that you do.
To read about KeyCodes go to:
https://www.sfimg.com/PowerTools/KeyCodeTracking?referrer=search
By using KeyCodes you will know where your new Affiliates or TripleClicks partners are coming from.
Then you can check out where your traffic is coming from to you SFI Gateway Websites by going to: www.sfimg.com/PowerTools/HitTracking
This will tell you what KeyCode got the most hits and the best advertising for you.

Please note that the Hit Tracking tool is only available to affiliates who have accumulated at least 1000 VersaPoints or above.

I would also suggest that you keep track of your advertising and keycodes. You can do this by using the free google documents at: https://docs.google.com/document/ or Chrome quick notes. There are many other free places that you find to record your advertising on the internet that you can download.

thank you for this question.Hit Tracking is the great tool if you want to be successful in your business.
You can set Key Code on each of your gateways that you use on your advertising.There's a lot of sites where you can post your free and /or paid ads.Just put a different code for each site you're advertising on.
Example:
http://www.sfi4.com/SFI ID.33/FREE
33 is an example Key Code - you can use up to 4 numbers.

Take notes about Key Codes.Than check out on Hit Tracking which site and ad is bringing you more hits and sign ups.By using Key Codes you're getting the immediate feedback of your advertising and can focus on the sites and ads that are producing the best results and increasing the number of your PSAs.
Remember,your hits are going to be reset weekly (every Sunday) by SFI, so check them often.

This is a very nice question. Marketing is the key to succeed in any online preneur. SFI has already made our work way too easy to run an effective marketing campaign by using the hit tracking.
What I have done is, I have first opened a spreadsheet for SFI marketing campaigns. I have made columns having the name of the campaign, url of the campaign (which includes the key code for tracking the hits), name of the site/sites where that particular campaign is run, number of hits.
I update the number of hits every week because SFI resets the hit tracking every Sunday. So I update my hits before it resets.
This information helps me for the analysis of the most converting sites and campaign. More by maintaining the database this way, I avoid any kind of duplication in using a single key code.

The aim for providing the "hit tracking " in power tools is , to make our promotions more effective .

Use the key codes in your advertisement gateway for easy tracking

Three Key Codes are reserved for SFI corporate use. ie ,1101 , 1200 , 1300 for affiliates from S-Builder. for who not referred to SFI by anyone , and for TC members via the TC Tell-A-Friend feature , respectively .

Due to system memory constraints, SFI resets Hit Tracking automatically each Sunday. Note these data in an "excel" in each week before reset , and prepare the MIS for easy analysis , so you can track ,which website gives more "Hits" and result .

Based on the MIS you prepared , concentrate on the websites which gives more as well as quality result , which in turn develop your promotion more effective .

Keycodes, yes, very practical.

I just tell you about a very simple additional method to check whether particular site is efficient with your particular ad or not. This is a little different indicator, as it shows not where your sign-ups come from, but where the interest is raised at all. It is called Click-Through-Rate (CTR) and is proportion of clicks on your ad compared to the number of shows.

Most Traffic Exchanges and Mailers show it automatically, so you can get an idea whether the public there is interested or not. Also take into consideration that some sites offer very extensive numbers of shows, so even low CTR-s may bring you sign-ups.

One more detail I mentioned somewhere already - be careful with CTR-s given by Mailers for your email ads. They show only how often your mail was opened, not whether it was read.

And another matter: tracking is good, but is won't solve anything if your ads are not composed well. Rebecca Smith wrote recently a mail - I don't know for how wide public exactly - where she summarized it very well. As probably not all of you read it, I stress the most important aspects:
- raise interest at once,
- be to the point,
- be as brief as possible.

SFI has a great 'hit tracking' system that facilitates us in our advertising. Keycodes and hit tracking go together. We can set our own keycodes for each gateways that we promote, so that we know from which sites we are getting more sign ups. This help us to focus more on sites that bring us results and boost our business.

We can use different key codes for different gateways and advertising sites.
One of my example: http://www.sfi4.com/xxxxxxxx/12/FREE. I use this to advertise on Twitter. Keycodes can be between 2-4 digits. However, there are three key codes used excusively by SFI and Tripleclick only. These are:
1101- for affiliates from S-builder.
1200- for affiliates who were not referred to SFI by anyone.
1300- for tripleclick members via the TC Tell-A-friend feature.

SFI hit tracking system resets automatically on every Sunday. However, we can always reset it anytime we want.

The "Hit Tracking" page on your Power Tools is an effective way to track your gateway hits. Set key codes on each of the gateways you are using on your advertising. Example:
http://www.sfimg4.com/xxxxxxxx.15/FREE The xxxxxxxx should be your affiliate number, the 15 is an example you could use as a reminder for where you have your ad listed. Choose a different key code for each gateway. Keep track of which ones get the best return for you. You will know which gateways have the best chance of bringing results.

You can only use the Key Code Tracking if you have at least 1000 VP for the current month. SFI's hit tracking tool resets each Sunday.

1. You can set up the same ad with multiple different landing pages and track which one get's better conversion.

2. You can track multiple ads to the same gateway to see which ads perform better than the others.

3. You can compare traffic sources using the codes and see which sites are sending you ready affiliates and which are delivering low grade traffic.

You can then put the best ad with the highest converting gateway on the best traffic sources and see your referrals count grow from it's current status into one to really be proud of while knowing that you are saving time and money and getting the best return on any ad free or paid.
