It is better to put enough information in your ad so that your prospect knows that he wants to find out more, but not so much that he thinks he knows it all. Feed his desire, help it grow so that he will react to your ad in the way you want him to react. That means he will want to sign up so he can get all the facts, that he knows he is on the right track.

There are two obvious sides of participating in the ASK SFI Community, and two more hidden sides.

The obvious sides are ASKing and answering.

In order to ASK a question, you must first determine if there is a need for more information on a subject. Then you must word the question simply and clearly, whittling it down to one or at the most two parts. Not every question makes it to the SFI Community. Be sure that the question can be answered and is of interest to the whole community.

In order to answer a question, you must, or should, think a moment and arrange your thoughts. What is the question really asking and how involved should the answer be. Do you know first hand how to deal with the problem? Is your answer from personal experience? Have you thought through what you will write, or checked the facts before sending it? Is your answer on topic with the question? Or is it answering something not asked?


Answering questions focuses my attention on a small segment at a time of the whole SFI business. It's like a pause and regroup. Maybe it entails reviewing something I haven't visited for months.

The less obvious sides are When rating the answers, and acting as a sponsor.

As you rate the answers you will notice many brilliant responses, many answers that are shallow but still helpful, a few off topic, and a few that show that the author does not understand the question or the answer. We've all noticed that some questions and their answers are delivered in an easy to read and understand way, and they all are pretty much great answers. And then we've seen questions that bring answers that are scattered all over the place with not much unity and it is hard even to rate them.

These situations point out places where I have concern that my team also may not understand or have questions. This prompts me to send a letter out dealing with the topic. This is a chance for a sponsor to be able to help the team even when none of them are admitting that they don't understand.

When we rate these questions, we should be very careful to actually read and understand what has been written. We need to take care in our ratings and remember that these answers will be used to tutor our new affiliates. We must not let error linger in our reference material.

As I have been rating many questions, I have found new ideas that I can use in my business, both in sponsoring/guiding and advertising and all its facets. And truthfully, I have been forced into studying topics that I had been avoiding, reluctant to go in certain advanced directions.

When customers are in the gift-giving mode, they are more generous in their gifts. During this season,people are less driven to give purely useful or necessary gifts. They are more interested in giving gifts that the recipient is less likely to get for themselves.They will look longer for the right gift and will spend a it more for it.Sometimes they don't know what they are looking for, but they will know it when they see it.

That's one of the beauties of TripleClicks, you never know what you'll find until you look. Once you find it, advertise it to you team and to the world.

This is not the time of the year to promote vitamins and cleaning supplies. People are looking for something with a message, "I love you.", "I value our friendship.", "I love you this much." So promote those things.

Look for the items that send a message, that have hefty CV, that when purchased will give the gift-giver a sense of accomplishment. Pick the item and then find the specific audience to aim your ads at, then write an eye-catching subject line and a heart warming come-on.

Up graded video equipment, cameras, sporting goods, jewelry, can all be good choices.

Good for whom?

1) Obviously if I win, it's good for me and my sponsor as we would both win TCredits.

2) Since we use one TCredit for each entry, and receive one AVP and 5 MRP back, I am able to earn more AVP toward my monthly status.

3) Depending how I obtained my TCredits, they cost me anywhere from free to $1.99. If I bought them in packs, then my sponsor and co-sponsor would benefit in commissions and matching VP in the Executive Pool.

4) the whole SFI community benefits because all deposits into to Executive Pool strengthens the SFI economy.

5) As I get excited about the ZackPot, my team will also, get excited and we will all benefit in the ways mentioned above.

Your ECA store is your responsibility. If you want sales, you must do the work to insure that you get sales:
1) Offer products that people will buy.

Offer both items that are one-time-only purchases and items that are needed continuously. The first will give more CV while the second will give repeat customers. Try to add new products regularly. This will keep your shop on the "New at TC" page.
Take time each day to find new suppliers and new products.

2) Advertise so that people will be aware of what you have, and how to contact you.

Put in new ads everyday. With free ads this is possible for all budgets. Do take advantage of paid ads on a regular basis to reach higher economic groups.

3) Keep your listings currant, remove items that are not available. Edit listings and photos to bring improvement. Use the "close-outs" to get rid of slow sellers. Check your expiration dates.

4) Check for orders placed each day, process them, and communicate with your customers.

5) Send weekly or monthly ECA News Feed or ECA Connections Newsletter.

Remember that the impression you send out will determine whether someone will buy from you. Be professional and attend to all the major and minor points of your presentation.

You must first decide what purpose your business card will serve. Usually a business card is intended to be a reminder of a conversation held between the one who gives out the card and the one who receives it. The conversation may be remembered or forgotten, so the card must have enough information on it to jog the memories.

It needs to be business-like, attractive, but should stand out in a bowl of business cards. The use of color, texture, size, shape, thickness, all contribute to eye-catching quality. It must include:
--Your personal, professional name, not something Skeeter or Buzz unless that is the only name you ever give when asked.
--Your business's name
--Contact information--Phone numbers to which you are willing to accept business calls
--e-Mail addresses you will check often for business purposes
--Office or Home address
--Just a few words seeding a curiosity about the business, giving a few clues of what it is about. Jogging the memory of a past conversation about the business.

This card does not attempt to tell all. It is not the approach, but the precursor to the follow-up. It is plain and simple, elegant and specific, cute and sassy, eye-catching and intriguing. You take your pick. Have fun, but come up with a quality product.

The other kind of business card, the one that seems to loom big in the minds of most of those who have answered this question, are not really business cards, at all. Look at some of these answers and tell me how one can go about putting all that information on a simple 1 3/4" x 2 3/4" card, even using both sides with letters large enough to read.

This type of card lends itself more to being a post card or promotional insert or brochure. And while it has much information about SFI/TC and the affiliate business, it doesn't tell all, but instead leaves the reader thinking he knows all about the business and does not feel the need to contact the business owner. This card may be mistakenly used to introduce the business rather than remind the prospect of what he heard.

Unless the business owner really understands the purpose of the materials he hands out, he may not only be wasting his money, but wasting prospects to his business.

The SFIIM gives you a chance to converse with a PSA or CSA in real time. Like right now.
But it doesn't get stored anywhere that I have found, and we lose the message as soon as we log out.

Therefore when an affiliate asks me a question that is less simple than a yes or no, I tell him that I will answer it through my email, of the group mailers. That way if it has multiple parts or a complicated answer it can be keep for as long as needed.

Also, I tell them at the very beginning of the note who I am. And sometimes how to open the white box so he can respond.

Amongst those ECA products that will give you a good royalty, and the TC direct products that will give you the best VP, DC, etc., you want to promote the products that your downline and referred ECAs have to sell. By helping them sell their wares, they will become stronger financially, and more positive about the ECA program. Thus your whole team will become stronger. And you will gain matching VP if you have BTL or above and your ECAs have their EA2.

I believe in being honest with my affiliates. It's not easy to get the VP to to be an EA in the second month.

And a very low commission is usually the result in the first month. I usually warn them before they see it. And encourage them to do the following:

1) They must either begin to buy from TC or find people who will.

2) They must step out and begin advertising to strangers.

3) They must look at the other money streams offered by SFI.

4) They must figure how to use other people's money in order to succeed. And to tell those people how they will benefit. Do this by encouraging ECAs, find people who will sell TC products, or buy them. There are also other ways

5) I encourage them to study the ECA program and either sign up ECAs or become one themselves. And I tell them all the benefits to them, the ECAs, and the local affiliates.

6) I still encourage them to ask questions, and discuss plans and doubts. And of course to stay the course for the duration that it takes to become successful. I also ask them what success means to them and what they are willing to do to get there.

7) I watch them on the Genealogy, the Forum, E365, Daily Grand, etc and congratulate them on their progress.

I always try to remember that these inactive affiliates have done something that other people have not done. They signed up as an affiliate. That tells me that they are looking for something. They are not satisfied with their income they way it is and they want to find a remedy for that. We know they won't find anything better than SFI, so after a few months of inactivity, I will write them again, either as a group, or individually. This time I will ask if they have found anything better or would they like some help to get started with SFI. I also get a little more personal, telling them something about my training or business.

It has gotten the attention of some affiliates and they have written back. Some of them get started working the Daily's and To Do's.
