Have you heard this quotation that is "top of the heap" among my all-time favorites ?

"One may lead a horse to the river but can not force it to drink !"

That said, you can cajole the willing ones- those who believe enough in themselves
and have the right attitude and the patience to succeed.
For doing so, SFI has thoughtfully provided you with the right tools, namely STREAM
POST & the GENEALOGY MAILER.

Inform everyone in your team regularly about the new contest/s that you are putting
up. Then, reward the achievers even if they fail to formally enter your designated
contest/s.
This makes them aware & you can now request them to share this information formally
with others via the STREAM POST [ see ? ]... ask them to post about their reward.
It can act as a "wake up tonic" for the lazy ones in your team.

To wind up, i would again like to fall back upon the "timeless wisdom" of my library
of quotations [ YOU* too can contribute some via the STREAM POST ]:

"The odds are with us if we keep trying."

Remember that famous tale about "King Bruce of Scotland & the spider" ? Google for

i had African neighbors in New Delhi ( INDIA ) when i was a child and still
vividly remember the richly varied African art they had on display in their
drawing room and other parts of their modest 2-room accommodation.
And, these could not have been expensive because my neighbors were students,
not business people.

One voodoo doll ( *that is what i was told my gift was ) is still one of my
most prized possessions after almost fifty years.

Needless to say, a TripleClicks shop of your own and replicating the trend
actively among your PSA's - encouraging them to become ECA as well - should
fetch you GOOD returns beyond your expectations...

It is said that, "to be successful, one must give the people what they want."
AND, African cultural artefacts certainly have a big unsatisfied demand all

Go to a local AUCTION , no matter whether it is for Art, Jewellery
or even Old Office scrap.
People there are, naturally, already attuned to "the idea".

Casually begin a conversation & mention "How ( YOU* ) i Won .....
for only ...."
Then, once you have got an audience comprising a bunch of "aspiring
TripleClickers", it is time to hand out your TripleClicks W3 cards;
or, even a few Gift cards if you feel / think you can afford to.

Personally, i like to show a Panda Gold Coin or an Ounce of Silver
both of which were won for under a dollar each.

Other, more conservative methods - of course - are various forms of
other advertising media that do not require personal contact.
Newspaper adverts, radio jingles, TV ads can all be considered to be
"good ways to promote Pricebenders auctions".
But, to advertise in such manner, you have to become a TL & get your
advertising approved via the format provided for the purpose.

If you are unable to decide on your own, simply ASK YOUR MENTOR.
There is also an option available to you for asking in the forum,
but the drawback here is that you would be plied with "multiple"
strategies that may have helped different persons.

If your mentor has been with SFI for long and /or has succeeded-
this can be easily judged by the "status"(whether a BTL or more)
- obviously you will benefit from the SAME strategy.

Even being a complete novice, you are most likely aware of GOOGLE
- the all pervasive Search Engine.
Type "advertising using the internet" in the GOOGLE search and you
have immediate access to a goldmine of "most accessed" information.

But, as mentioned earlier, rather than be confused by multiplicity
of choices - it is a Good Idea to COPY YOUR MENTOR and succeed the
way they did.

While looking for the signs "whether this new affiliate will be good or not",
one must turn around to look at one's own path to progress... presuming that
one has indeed been successful.

The most obvious signs would be a FULL ATTENDANCE in their Daily Actions part
of the VersaPoints Ledger & an early WAVE3 membership besides regular posts in
the "Stream Posts" ( Of course, one has to note this via the points scored for
this activity under Weekly Actions; i find this being worth a separate mention
because 3 points in a 7 day period might just be an acid-test for commitment ).

There are also exceptions, of course.
Some people may have a different perspective than yours and yet be successful.

Though this is not really advised by me, a Standing Order at the very start is
the most obvious sign that the concept has indeed been grasped by the newcomer.
A perfect fit to the phrase "put your money where your mouth is", this affiliate
has clearly demonstrated "long term commitment" instead of signing in with the
goal of "developing a second income" ( or any such thing ) only to disappear by
the 3rd or 4th month.
Here, i must confess that though a BTL in my second month & spending money to
safeguard my position, my standing order materialized only after 4/5 months.
Looking back over the year gone by, *THE SIGN was definitely missing...

An Indian idiom comes to mind, "a child's feet are visible in the crib itself".
But then there is yet another that says, "Only an experienced eye can recognize
a diamond".
That told, one must be reminded of Lord Krishna's exhortation to Arjuna [ refer
Shribhagwad Gita ] to "concentrate on YOUR actions & do not be concerned about
the rewards".

If we were to honestly follow His advice, one should be concentrating all energy
on "developing a new affiliate into a good one" rather than "looking for signs"
whether the new affiliate will be a good one or not.

Funnily enough, India's blockbuster movie "3 Idiots" ends with the same message:
"Concentrate on and ENJOY what YOU are learning... Success will, perforce come
looking for YOU"

Just this morning, on my morning walk, i accosted [ ... L-0-L ] my new neighbor
and [ after the formality of welcoming was done with ] told him to look up my
TripleClicks Store.

Once he joins, i will obviously HAVE TO ( L-0-L ) thank him and that is when
i will let a small hint about WAVE3 drop... Casually !!

Fairly EASY, is it not ?
Apart from the fact that the newest WAVE3 member "WAS" your downline when joining

her/them about 'WHY TripleClicks is GOOD for their business'
or
Engage in an informal chat about how you went online with TripleClicks
and HOW doing so can expose the prospect's business to an unexplored
market of over 200,000 [ get the latest figure from SFI bulletins ]
possible customers.

The fact that there are no heavy 'initial expenses' as applicable to a
Brick & Mortar store make your task that much simpler !
You only need to emphasize this emphatically and your contact will turn
out to be a 'successful contact'.

i think "What have you been doing ?" is a question asked as often abroad as it
is here in India. Clearly, half your job is done already even though the inquiry
is more often than not "absolutely casual";
i have had occasions when i replied "awfully bad" and this statement is accepted
with absolute grace - without as much as any further "...but what happened ?" or
"can i offer any help ?"... no one is really interested UNLESS it involves some
self-interest.

But even then, if you have done your ground-work well - like i have - the reply
would be something that the inquirer ( and a few others present ) might also be
hugely interested in:

Begin casually, "Oh well, i just won an ounce of silver worth $25 for 70 cents
in an auction." and once full attention of everyone around is focussed on what
you have just said, you can become slightly more enthusiastic, "But i wish that
i had bid for the TV that went for only 5 dollars". A pregnant pause and one can
add, "Well... not exactly $ 5 - it was actually $5.07 plus a few measly dollars
towards the cost of bidding."

After this "approach", you are merely left with the not too difficult task that involves showing your 1 Oz. SFI silver bar and answering the eager queries with
casual sincerity.
Of course, the cards will need to be distributed to all the interested persons.
And do not forget to reassure them with,"YOU can approach me whenever YOU need."
